    This is spot on guys! Thank you! I want external cables, easy repair, no rattle, not so long chainstays, long dropper 180-210mm not too much travel, because I like jumping fun and nice cornering. Weight about 15-16kg - because very light bike is less stable downhills. Oh I just forgot - I already have it - Kona Process 153 AL custom build :-D :-D

    I think most bikes with long seat tube are the one that really need that length because the frame design forces a kink in the seat tube close to the upper link pivot. Then the straight section of the seat tube from that kink up has to have certain length to provide enough insertion depth for a dropper seatpost. If it was shorter then you couldn't install longer dropper anyway because they have longer insertion depths. I know this sucks but it is not that the manufacturer doesn't want to make it shorter. Moving the pivot placement would not work for their suspension idea.

    • @youling1997

      Well, they could have gone with a frame design that allows longer dropper and they chose not to.

    I was wondering if PB was going to do something this season. Late it seems.
    But better late than...
    After watching this vid, however, it looks like there's just one bike out of the lot that I have interest in. Can't say I'm not disappointed. I suppose I shouldn't think of this next series as a 'buyers guide', considering the exotic tastes of the Pink Bike commentators. Those who have no budget for an Unno will have to look elsewhere to learn about that bike down at their LBS that they have their eye on. Let them eat cake.

    Having raced quite a few regional enduros I find that from the race perspective the nuances of the bike matter way less than the fitness and skill of the rider. Especially around me, if the rider is fit, then they've already beat half the field. For the bike, it better pedal/pump well and it sure as hell better have a bottle cage.

While us BMX and trials riders were awkwardly looking over at them and how compelling they look. It will be interesting to see if it's the future of MTB or still too extreme. Because top tubes are lower than they were 10 years ago, no doubt.

    • @TeddyParker
      @TeddyParker Год назад

      @@WasntMeMTB I mean I was under the assumption it's still to provide structural rigidity to that part of the bike. Which may seem counterintuitive initially. But basically you are effectively wrapping/sheathing the entire dropper post in a nice tube of high quality carbon. The alternative is of course chopping the tube so it's shorter (seemingly stronger?) BUT it's possible that post then has more leverage when leaning against that short piece of seat tube. Potentially causing stress fractures at the clamp area. Which is already a suspect area due to the clamping itself. Not sure if that design would be better or worse... With aluminum. Obviously aluminum usually doesn't clamp crack it just holds until a major failure. I ain't no engineer lol
