    Thanks, good info. I'm having 'check engine' light. Test shows the sensor 'air flow' error. I'm going to try cleaning. This is a good vid because; no back ground music and clear and concise info.

    Would recommend allowing the sensor air dry for a couple of minutes before reinserting.

      Not a bad idea. Wouldn't it dry in the intake too?

      Yes it will dry inside the tube also

    Great video, thanks man. I have a 2015 2.7 I purchased new and never had any issues until recently at 82000 miles. My gas mileage just dropped to 16.2 from 19+. Hopefully this works, thanks again 👍. Oh, already changed plugs and air filter.

      Check your high pressure fuel pump. Bolted to engine under the hood. They start going bad and no lights, no codes. Only a sudden drop in fuel mileage.

      @@kevinmathis1278 ..... I just bought a 2018 with the 3.5 EcoBoost last week, and the truck has 43,000 mi on it. I have a 25 mi commute to work one way at 55 mph and am not getting the mileage that I expected. They advertised around 22 miles per gallon highway and I am getting around 17. How do you check the pressure on this pump that you're talking about? I do have a laptop with the Forscan and the two-speed linking cable. Thanks ..

    I know this is an old video, but I was wondering you I need to disconnect the battery before I take the sensors out? I just took the throttle body, cleaned it and put it back on and I reconnected the battery after that. Figured I better clean the sensors but you didn’t show disconnecting the battery first for this

      It's always best practice to disconnect the battery.

      @@FixItStupid I have the 2000 7.3 with the manual 6 speed. the truck is so badly rusted, But i found all the doors, bed, rockers and corners are not to bad, The truck has very low miles so I'm going to bring it back to life, I'm doing a cab off restoration, that way i can access the frame and be able to upgrade the fuel lines-filters, and oil. the frame is fine, But I'm going to soda blast it and paint it, should be fun : ) good luck.

    The first sensor u “cleaned” is an IAT sensor and it does nothing to clean it. It does not measure air flow and isn’t near as precise of a sensor.

      Thanks! I've since learned this. When preparing for this video the information available was very clouded with different names and uses of sensors in different years. Turns out, you're right.

    what can cause you to get terrible MPG, I barely get 16 mpg on the highway

      Depending on the truck 16mpg isn't terrible. I get 17-18

      I only get 15.3 and it’s stock .. people saying there getting 20+ are full of shit and don’t know how to hand calculate and find true mpg the meter is always wrong on these trucks

      I have a 06 f150 lariat I just bought from an old retired man .. he took great care of this truck but I’m getting 10 mpg and have no idea why …. 5.4 Triton 4x4

      @@varmint223 I got 26 going to the UP of Michigan and 23 on my way down, now I'm only getting 15, the drop was sudden. I'm investigating as to why. I have a 2.7 eco.

      Change all the powertrain fluids, rear diff, front diff transfer case and transmission fluids. Old fluids add drag. Especially the diffs. Also, tires add drag if not properly inflated.

      Mine has dropped from 21 to about 13ish. I changed my plugs and evap solenoide, it's up to 15.2 now. Going to try the map next.

      @@Derick9772 So I found my solution! I changed my air filter and my MPG immediately went back to 20+ MPG! It was crazy simple!

      Some people say map sensors don't need to be cleaned, but it can't hurt to be thorough

      Unplug your battery for 10 minutes then plug it back in. See if the helps

      Did you fix the rough run? I cleaned mine as well and felt something a little strange when sitting in idle but I haven't done the battery reset yet. Will do that shortly
