love the sliders but the push aways and any other function where the are extends away from the body is just such a concern for many people with shoulder issues. Great moves but also a great way to get injured. I wish people would talk about the fact that you need to be extremely careful and pretty strong before trying to preform the ones that include not only core strength, but solid strength and control of the shoulders..... Modifications definitely needed.
i usually do it facing towards the wall for safety. that way i can also modify difficulty level. closer to wall easier. farther from the wall harder. also knees on ground makes it easier

Thanatos there are no best core exercises if you think in term of visible abs. If you have proper training form your core will be engaged every time. If you want visible abs, nutrition always comes first. Cheers :)
Ryan R muscle separation is a myth. The body always works in unit. You can't divide upper and lower abs, regardless of what some claim. Most of these exercises work the entire core so you are all set, no worries... :)
