Hey guys! Sorry, Thanks to your comments I realized that the Flat Marker doesn't come by default with Procreate, and I actually don't know where did I get it. Sorry, hope you find the other brushes useful
This is why you should read comments. Ive didnt understand why it wasnt on my Procreate. Its frustrating That you dont know where you got it, cause you seemed so happy with it, haha. Anyway great video Edit: and i should read better, the link the super cool dude shared works and i now have it. Thanks,
@@LucasPeinador Sorry to reply to one of your comments but I was wondering would the spectra be best for coloring with color on it? If not what would be? Sorry again I am just trying to improve my art so I can hopefully be successful in my future
Yeah, even when I have bookmark folders for the ones I like with notes for what-goes-where, I still tend to only use Ink Bleed at 75% Opacity I just love the fuzz
Thank you for all the great info! I've been trying to get back into drawing in general, and have been trying to get used to Procreate. It's tempting to get more brushes beyond the default ones, but 1) that's expensive, and 2) I'd rather not worry about license agreements/fees for those. Seeing you put the various default brushes really helps to see what's what! :-)
I got similar problem :) Just got back to drawing and I started from making animation of Apple logo but I really wanted to do those things what I've done on paper normally. Paying for brushes to someone who just licked a bit of procreate isn't the best thing cause they are pretty expensive for me too.
I use the artistic brushes to just have fun! I'll doodle for a while, maybe draw some abstract shapes or play with color, and then something will come to me and I'll end up drawing something pretty amazing. It can be sloppy and filled with happy accidents, just like traditional media, but that's part of its charm.
If you see this the flat marker isn’t a default brush but, the HB pencil at full size works well like the flat marker. Edit: Another good brush is the flat square which is brush that is downloaded at jingsketch
Thanks for the brush suggestions. I was fascinated by how you used of your right thumb to alter brush on the fly. That is a technique that's unique to digital --using two hands to draw is something that I'm going to work on.
Tysm, I wanted to find out the best brushes without downloading any custom ones, so this guide is nice to have(especially since it’s a free-to-watch RUclips art tutorial that isn’t boring).
WOAH, You were not kidding about Spectra! I've been using procreate for more than a year now and I never gave that brush a chance, ITS AMAZING! Awesome video!!
thank you so much for recommending the spectra brush!! It’s exactly what I need! I have been struggling with brush for a long time, this video saves me!
Great recommendations! It's always interesting to see what brushes other people favour. I love the Spectra, Gloaming and Chalk ones too! I also like using the Chalk one to draw thread/embroidery detail or whatever especially if there's a bit of gold thread in there. Thanks for sharing!
I've been using your LP pack along with Wes Hoffman's studio essentials set for months now and they are honestly the last sets i've ever picked up and probably will.
Realy love your post!! Learned so much about the basic brushes and how great the are. The sketching you do are great to. Loosens me up about my own sketching 👩🎨
Thank you for sharing! It's so helpful for someone like me trying to start learning how to illustrate digitally for the first time. Love from Singapore~😄
As weird as it sounds, I actually use Monoline (in calligraphy) for drawing. I came from IbisPaint, so I wanted a thick brush; so I found it. I’ve been using it ever since.
I just found your channel through this video, and my god I'm so thankful. I really appreciate all the time and effort gone into your videos. Keep up the good work!!
First of all great video, really helped me alot. Unfortunately i cant seem to find the noise brush in my app. I found all the other ones but this one is just not there. Is it really a default brush?
Hello! I'm not even close to get an ipad, do you know to can I setup my smudge tool in photoshop to get similar result than in procreate? It's too rough and I'm not able to get some delicate "blur" and I really don't like the airbrush brushes... ug
How do I change the pencil settings so that the peppermint and procreate pencils stop shading on a tilt? I'm very new to Procreate and I tried the tilt setting for these pencils and it didn't seem to have done anything.
can you please do a tutorial on how to blend with the soft airbrush . or the best way to blend . trying to paint and elephant and can't get the blend and shading right
Hey Lobo, yes, I would love to make a tutorial about this, but probably it is going to take me a while. For now, I can recommend you what I use. Almost any random brush with scattering activated. Use the smudge with this brush and you are set
Khalid Newaz Most of them are defaults. I add brushes from artist who I follow . They link them in their Instagram bios. (Might have to pay for some but not always) RUclipsrs might also link some in the description box. Hope this helps!
Hey Naromi, you can check in my channel, the second to last video talks about several iPads. But if you want a summary I would say that the new iPad Air is an excellent option if you don’t want to buy an used one. If you don’t mind buying used, the 2018 is the best price/features
Hey Jose Angel, thank you for your comment man! you know what, that is an excellent question, I use a custom brush right now because I couldn't find anything that I liked in the Procreate gallery, but there must be a good smudging brush in there. If not, I'll make a tutorial on how I made my smudge brush.
