I wouldn't even go that far to be honest. Making jokes can unnecessarily diminish your cause because it can have, on your audience, the effect of your argument seeming casual or light (even if you're serious), whereas your opponents are being serious and seem more concerned.

It grew brighter, the dark sky yielded to the coming entity, flowers began to sprout from the parched and blackened earth. A distant and jubilant calling of a moose could be heard on the horizon, growing ever louder and the bright entity continued its progress. A long lost feeling began to manifest among the people, a feeling they had all forgotten, a feeling of clarity and reason. They could see now that the bright light was not a light at all, just a manifestation of their minds in a time of despair, reality resolved back into coherence and it was clear to them now that before them stood a man of great brilliance, a barely constrained sexual prowess just barely kept in check by his snazzy bowtie. The bowtie man began to speak, his voice was like a piercing arrow through the soft tissue of paper, cutting through the nonsense and idiocy that had been shrouding the populous like a parasite and clogging their minds. Before the people, the figure stood not just as their saviour but as a pinnacle of human perfection and sexual prowess. That man was Gad Saad, the Gad Father, the bringer of truth and reason. The words he formulated crystallised into meaning "Let's go behind the shed and have massive sex". All was saved.
Dear Gad Saad, thank you very much for your efforts in fighting against the tumors that are political correctnes and social justice. Though the results of the conference have no bearing on myself due to me living in Switzerland, the people of Sweden deserve better than to be strangled by ridiciulous laws designed to apease an inconsequenzial minority. Keep on fighting the good fight, even if the environements you have to visit to do so are highly hostile and toxic towards people with your ideals, principals and opinions!
The travesty in Professor Saad's opening remarks is that almost no one in the room could understand the depth of his words, the implications down the road and the wisdom he was spoon feeding them. Not his fault that governmental committees participate in the race to the bottom. He deserves better and that is why I hasten to listen to his podcasts, where intelligence and humor, insights and experience help me understand a world increasingly gone mad.

it's amazing how the rest of the Q&A was basically just unpacking this opening statement with grand standing senators either constructing strawmans or overlooking Gad's statements with assumptions. Literally in the final five minutes the last senator to speak asks why Gad can't accept this bill, which "protects transgender from genocide" even though it poses no direct threat to himself, when Gad clearly states several times how the act of proclaiming evolutionary facts in a classroom could cost him his job because it is too discrimatory.
