The Knott's family were our neighbors all through the 60's. We lived in LaHabra Heights in Southern California an upper middle class area at the time but you've really got to have money to live there now. We were kids and played with the Knott's kids. They had a gorgeous house that looked out over Orange County. At night you could see the fireworks from Disneyland. They were very nice people.
I remember eating there for years. At that time Mrs. Knott, would come out and stop at every table and asking everyone how there dinners were. To this day the chicken is still the best in the nation. There is always a line to get in. Trust me well worth waiting for.
keep telling myself that i’m gonna get in there and try that chicken one day, but that day still hasn’t come. it didn’t look good in this video but i’ve seen others where it looks tastyish
I am a huge Disneyland fan and visit twice a year. I live in Colorado. That said, I will always take an afternoon away from the MK and have a chicken lunch at KBF and stock up on boysenberry products. Boysenberry. Food of the Gods. 😎
I remember going there in the 1950s and 60s. It was very small. The train ride with armed robbers scared me terribly. Still scared of men with guns! Also remember the “ Crooked house”
I love this place, especially the biscuits with butter & Boysenberry jam. The Boysenberry pie with ice cream is the bomb.
