    🅾️2. Install UX100 on AMD Socket - 3:06

    🅾️4. Download SYNC program - 5:10
    This video is part 2 to deal with the difficult and confusing parts of the installation process of Thermaltake UX100, which was uploaded last year. Many users have found it difficult when installing the cooler on the bracket, the tension of the metal bracket leaked too much during the heat sink, so it was not easy to latch the cooler by hand. It was the first time to appear in the low-cost RGB CPU cooler market and gained a lot of popularity. In fact, it has better performance than Stock Cooler by Intel or AMD and has RGB Sync function, so it was used for many Budget RGB Builds. As you know, this product is compatible with 5V RGB headers and you can adjust the RGB listing through the RGB Program.

      There is 1 x Fan RGB header on this board at the right side of the bottom but it is 12V 4 pin. In this case, you'll need a converter to change the voltage from 12V to 5V Here is the link: amz.run/4Ssy Installation Video: ruclips.net/video/sBCvmkXf-Zg/видео.html Please connect 5V 2 pin(D,G) ARGB connector from the cooler to converter then connect 12V 4 pin connector (female) to RGB LED connector on your board. I just got a prebuilt system. The TT cooler does it's own RGB thing all by itself independent of the other fans... the ground and "D" wires were left unconnected.
    When I DO connect them I can control it but it also seems to fighting whatever other automatic thing it does. I can't see a model number on it.

    • @comtongny7776
      @comtongny7776  3 года назад +1

      There are 2 different RGB options when you build an RGB case. Some pre-built brands are using 4 pin PWM RGB. It is changing color automatically already setup so, please check up your hardware by HWINFO64. This Thermaltake UX100 is ARGB(Addressable RGB) it means that the user can control it by using a sync program provided by the motherboard's manufacturer. It depends on which motherboard you used. Different manufacturers use different programs. For example, MSI Mystics, ASUS AURA, ASRock Polychrome, Gigabyte Fusion 2.0. You can download the motherboard you used from the manufacturer's website. Thank you for your comments.

      @@comtongny7776 Thanks for your time. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
      It's a Gigabyte board. I'm not on it at the moment to see what the fan model is and dig up the specs. I've got HWinfo and Fusion.
      I was trying to stop the TT fan's rainbow show if I could and just keep it all steady. It will do a steady blue through Fusion with those two wires plugged in but that rainbow show is still trying to happen at the same time. May just have to live with it or turn them off.
      Found this video on my hunt for what those leftover wires were for. There was just the plug to the CPU fan power.
      This is a new aspect for me, never had a light up computer before. I ordered it for the 3060ti, not the lights...but there they are and I have to tinker with them.
      Anywho, have a good one.
      Thanks again.

    I just bought this & mounted on my gigabyte b450m h mobo.. But the problem is the led cpu is a 12v 4 pin header & after i plugged d and g with this header, i can only get the rainbow effect.. rgb fusion 2 doesn't sync the cooler & thats why cant control rgb,,
    Now my question is, after reading all the comments here, will using d and g with 12v header damage my cpu cooler fan??
    & the 2nd question is, pls name some other aRGB controller thats comes cheaper as i hardly can afford of what aRGB controller u suggested to others. This controller nearly comes with the same price as tt ux 100 in my country.
    I will be waiting for your answer, Sir.

      OK, I understand that but basically, this UX 100 comes with a 5V 3 pin connector for the power of RGB light. PWM connector of course it is a 12V 4 pin. These are different types of connectors so please connect 4 pin PWM connectors to CPU_Fan header and connect 2 pin from the fan D,G to 5V 3 pin LED header on your B450M board. If your comments are true, please use a converter to change the voltage from 12V to 5V. @Iota Commited There are ARGB controllers for that. If you want to control the fan lights, you might need to buy an ARGB controller and insert that D and G pins into ARGB controller. And then you can control your fans lights through ARGB controller but not from motherboards software.
      Also, If your case has got ARGB fans or controller, you can insert your CPU cooler D and G pins into that controller as well.

    how would you remove it from the intel set up? the pins seem to snap it in place? you just pull them out? or push them from the back of the mother board?

      OK, please take out the pin and push the holder from the backside of the motherboard. I think you already took it out. Thank you for your comments.

    Thanks for this! Will this be compatible with the MSI Z490 A Pro? Thanks in advance!

      Yes. There are 2 x 3-pin Addressable RGB headers on this board. Please connect 5V 2 pin ARGB connector(Female, D, G) from the fan to 5V 3pin Addressable RGB headers (Male) on your board. Also, don't forget to download the MSI Mystics sync program to control RGB accordingly. Thank you for your comments.

      There is 1 x Addressable LED Header(ADDR_LED1) at the bottom of the board. You can connect 2 pin connector (D,G) to 5V 3 pin ARGB (ADDR_LED1) accordingly and then download sync program ASRock Polychrome from the ASRock website. You can control RGB with this program after installation. Thank you for your comments.

      There's a 1 x RGB LED strip header on this board but it looks like 12V 4 pin. This CPU fan needs 5V 3 pin ARGB header to get the RGB power and control by sync program so in this case,
      you'll need a converter to change the voltage 12V to 5V Here is the link: amz.run/3c87 Thank you for your comments.

    an information i have the thermaltake 20 MT case plus the thermaltake ux100 heatsink how do i connect the D-G wires?

    • @comtongny7776
      @comtongny7776  3 года назад

      In order to get the light on and sync the RGB fan, you need an RGB compatible motherboard which means that has a 5V 3 pin ARGB header. Thermaltake 20 MT case also has a 5V RGB switchboard to connect 5V 3 pin connector. You need to connect both 5V 3 pin connectors to 5V 3 pin ARGB header on your board. UX100 has only 2 pin D and G. You can see the D and G(ground) letter on the board. Some board has 2 of them but the most case it has only 1. If you need to connect more than that, you need a splitter hub to combine all of them. Here is the link: 5V RGB Splitter Hub amz.run/4TOg Thank you for your comments.

      I'm sorry to inform you that your board is not compatible with this RGB CPU cooler fan. This one needs 5V 3 pin ARGB header on the motherboard. Also, it doesn't fit for mini-ITX motherboard due to the size of this cooler. If you want to use this cooler, you can use a manual RGB remote controller. Please check this device and use this if you want to install Thermaltake UX 100. Mini ARGB RF Controller Kit - amz.run/3cc9 Thank you for your comments
