I wanted to stay at this hotel just for the wave pool. The way they nickel and dime you every chance they get.. my lord. That’s why I stayed at the Vdara because at least you get a kitchen to save on those high food prices

Thank you for the beautiful video-worth the wait. Unfortunate Dale got sick. Sounds like food poisoning. I had it bad once and ended up in the hospital. I have heard many bars are doing the two drink minimum. I know they were at Electra Lounge at The Palazzo. Especially the venues on strip with live entertainment. I am not surprised Lupo closed. We ate there once and were not impressed enough to go back. Take care you two!! ❤❤❤❤

Your wondefful description od Mandalay Bay made me think about choosing it for my next trip to LV. The location being so far from the center of the Strip always was a concern. But the prices are making me think not. WIshing you a speedy and full recovery Dale.

I love love love your videos, they are all so beautiful and professional. Dale - I am sorry to hear you became ill. It could have been the heat, but with an influx of people for July 4th holiday, it could have been some virus. My suggestion is drink a l o t (lot, lot, lot!) of water and another commenter suggested coconut water, which is a good idea. My other suggestion is try blending the coconut water with watermelon (if you like watermelon). Combing the two is an electrolyte boost. Feel better soon! Sorry to hear you weren’t well Dale, I fell ill on day 8 of a 14 day cruise I’d waited a year for, that’s life I guess. Mandalay Bay looks like a good option especially with the tram.
Nice video as usual. We were there the same time July 2-5. Stayed at Park MGM - went to see Lady Gaga - and had comped rooms for 3 nights. It was very hot! Never made it to a pool. Hadn’t been there since 2018. Couldn’t believe the changes!
Dale, hopefully you are feeling better. At least being a local, going home was just a short drive, unlike if you were hundreds or thousands of miles from home. The two-drink minimum sounds like a new way to drive revenue, just like when they started charging for parking, although it is easier for customers to reject a two-drink minimum than it is paid parking.
My late hubs & I were flying OUT of LV just as M B was having their grand opening - wonderful views from the plane ( but I was miffed that we missed it!). I've stayed there several times (tho haven't yet been to the pool area) all memorable. Once there was no hot food available because of a construction accident off property, another because our compted room was a 1 bedroom suite on the 2nd from top floor (complete w/ full kitchen ,DR, views of pool area, & being able to look DOWN on airplanes that had taken off from LAS. Location was never an issue bc of tram. Thanks for reviving some very sweet memories!

The two drink minimum? More of the “new” greedy greedy greedy Las Vegas. Anyone who was in LV prior to 2019 or so knows that this “new Vegas” is ABSURRRRRRD. I’m a San Diego resident who drive to LV for a couple decades.. no more . Haven’t been since 2019.
Feel better….. you must try the pub restaurant at Ellis Island. The fish and chips and French onion soup are to die for..and very affordable! Mandalay Bay…nope won’t step foot in there…certainly wouldn’t spend the night. Creepy and most likely haunted but that’s just us!
The two drink minimum is two drinks per person? That is crazy. I have not seen that yet and I would not patronize a place that required that. I know some comedy clubs do that but not at a bar.

2 drink minimum is MGM bs. Level up at the MGM Grand does this as well and most nights it sits more than half empty, they will run you out, even if you are just sitting there to watch the music. They would rather have an empty venue than have people inside.
