Although I've already seen ''Kick-Ass'', but when Marcus was ''drinking'' water, I thought it was actually Red Mist peeing his pants!
I think I can count on one hand the number of Nic Cage movies where I actually enjoy his acting and I have to say, this is my favorite. He's 100% ridiculously over-the-top and, for once, it's appropriate for the role. I love it!
I love Hit Girl's entrance in the movie along with her theme song.
"Bubble McGuire" LOL.
a good Nick Cage movie is 'lord of war' - i think it's a legitimately good performance
Also "Bringing Out The Dead." An underplayed Scorsese movie.
Cash bubbling down that water may be my favorite Cash moment.
🤣
Dasani is delicious 🤷🏻♂️
Nic Cage was great in this movie, I don't always like him, but this movie, hell yeah!
Can't believe you haven't seen this. This should be good. I like the 2nd one even more myself. Hope you watch that one as well.
Nic Cage is great in some stuff! Adaptation, Leaving Las Vegas, Mandy, Raising Arizona, Joe, Color Out of Space... his acting is generally on par with the movie he's in and he just simply chooses to be in anything that he is offered so most of it is bad lmao.
Loved Color Out Of Space, saw that in the theater just before COVID. Richard Stanley is awesome director, can't wait for the next 2 films in the series.
Mad that the villain is Merlin. I loved the first Kingsmen.
Chloe, aka hitgirl, is EVERYTHING in this movie!! If you didn't fall in love with her, you weren't watching. I wish she had her own origin film. Kickass was a sidekick as best...
Why did hit girl not kill frank
YES! There are so few reactions to this amazing, groundbreaking movie.
I love being able to hear this title.
Jimmy, I've been watching you for a long time and have a lot of love for your reactions. You have a very high standard, but also a tolerance for self aware silliness if it's done well, and I really appreciate that. That's always how I've been with movies and TV. I can enjoy things for what they are, as long as they aren't truly awful. That's how I knew Justified was the perfect show for you, because it was so well made, but you can't be a snob with that show, you have to allow for the absurdity because it's not from incompetence but an embracing of humor even in serious moments, which a lot of serious drama is incapable of doing. I think that mindset is actually perfect for seeing the value in Nicolas Cage.
There is genuinely no question in my mind that Nicolas Cage at his best is one of the best actors there is... when he's used appropriately. The thing that is amazing about him, is that he commits 100% of the time. There's no doubt he is laughably terrible in a really large amount of truly awful movies, though. He is always over the top, and when that isn't executed well, it is comically bad. They feel like SNL trailer parodies or something, truly bizarre.
All that being said, in the movies that he is used well by the director and writers, he is more risk taking and more committed than just about anybody. The list of movies I think that would demonstrate this to anyone with an open mind, are:
Lord of War
The Weatherman
Matchmen
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (ESPECIALLY this one. Werner Herzog uses his massive crazy presence in the best way possible)
Raising Arizona
Adaptation
There are a few other movies of his that are highly recommended that I don't think are for me personally so I can't put them here. That list though, is pretty convincing. I really want to see a big name director take a chance with him in a big role, because I think if you use him correctly, he is unbelievable viewing.
6:50 hey that's Gregory from TWD
What happened to him after kick ass incident did hit girl kill him since he framed her dad on damico orders
have you seen lord of war? Nicolas cage Is fantastic in that
Yes! That's one of my favourite Nic Cage movies.
Lord of war is great! Immediately thought about suggesting it on patreon after he uploaded Kick Ass. Would be such a fitting movie for him to watch.
@@Ninaofthe90s i think he would change his mind on cage for sure
@@Ninaofthe90s if you want to suggest it next month on Patreon, I'll back you up.
You gotta watch some of Cage’s classic movies, guy is a fantastic actor when he’s got good material to work with.
Nicholas Cage is either amazing or terrible. There is no inbetween🤣 his latest movie "Pig" he delivers a masterclass performance.
Pig was so good
Colour out of space is so darn good cosmic horror with Nick Cage, he delivers a great performance!!! You guys should see it. ✨
Nicholas cage is awesome, he has made some good movies back in his days.

Nicolas Cage gives really great performances in both Mandy (2018) and even more so in Pig (2021).

My 10th Grade Earth Science teacher, who was about 25, used to wear tight as it gets jeans and would bend over her desk alllll the time.
Lol. I took my 10 year old brother to this movie when it came out not realizing it was rated R 😂 They advertised it like it was Superbad. Oops.
Jimmy, haven't you seen Nicholas Cage in The Rock?
The Croods?
For toned down characters I liked:
Adaptation, Guarding Tess, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and The Weatherman.
Wasm't Superbad rated R too?
@@BrendanBeckett Was it? Oops. Well, I didn't take him to that one 😜

Do you know the lore behind the actor who plays Kick A**? 😂 that deserves it's own reaction lol
I was shocked he came from uk
Any chance you'll do Kick-Ass2?
Just found your channel and am hitting subscribe. Question......how can I pay you to watch Nick Cage in 'Mandy'!? There is one particular part in that movie that would either crack you up or make you say wtf😂I would just love to see you react to it. Plus, it's a crazy ass movie with awesome visual effects and you'd be entertained for sure!
Awesome
Oh hell yes
"Batman & Robin written by Tarantino" - that's an apt description lol
Leaving Las Vegas and Raising Arizona. Those are two excellent Cage films.
lol this is filmed in my city & my old high school.
Check out Lord of War
This movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. I’m weird, I love Nick Cage. Have you watch him in The Rock with Sean Connery? I think he’s great in that one… not quite so over the top. But I also loved him in The Sorcerers Apprentice, it’s a fun silly ride.
Really? Including Gone In Sixty Seconds? The Rock? That's harsh, man!
"Gone Baby Gone" and "Fracture!"
Con-Air! Matchstick Men....
@@sallyatticum Matchstick Men was gooooood!
I hate the trope of the hero getting the girl after manipulating her, but THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING.
GO GO GO NARCOS MEXICO SEASON 3
Bringing Out the Dead is Cage's best
Sir react on el chapo series plz and love you both of you
So, Eminem has ditched the razor altogether?
