Aren't you glad you discovered how bad this rude person was before you got hired and had to work for the rude person? Imagine how terrible your workdays would have been if this person had been your boss! When I look for new talent, I don't use the normal, stupid, lazy generic interview. My stylists are recruited like college sports stars. Look for the best and then offer them a package that will make them want to move to our team. I can't remember the last time I hired somebody from the standard process--maybe 15 -20 years ago.
You probably dont care at all but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
I had a horrible job interview. I was interviewing for a forensic examiner position. Mind you it called for a high school diploma. I have a college degree in forensics, 1 internship at a ballistics crime lab at the state and a internship with an advocacy center. Went in for the interview and was mocked and was told “ did you just wake up and decided you want to do forensics? Which is called CSI effect. Where people watch entertainment and decide they want to do it. I worked hard for my credentials and was over qualified. They also made a comment “about my daddy”. My dad is a successful business man in my small town so yes that was used against me. I didn’t get the job and luckily I’m glad I didn’t. Do not want to work with people like that.
K S0731 so rude and unprofessional!!!! Yea you just worked your but off studying and achieved your degree plus student debt because you woke up and thought it would be fun to do!!! And actually because your dad is successful to me shows he was showing you the motivation that showed you that if you apply yourself and work hard you get ahead in life with something you are passionate about! My uncle was a coroner and it takes special kind of person to do this work, she did you a huge favor by not giving you the job!
That is so unbelievably rude unprofessional and childish of the interview person. I hope you can work for the FBI or something some day. With benefits and all
Sounds like someone was jealous and threatened! I cannot even imagine the rage and seething anger I would feel after that. I would have found a way to file some type of complaint because I'm that person. Someone like that does not deserve to be there.. I'm angry for you. I wish you the best and I like to believe that stuff like that happens because that's not where you are supposed to be
Wildly unprofessional. That person had some powerful neuroses that she totally put on display in your interview! She was probably insecure about her own capabilities and threatened by a more educated person coming the place where she has been the "expert," as you might challenge her knowledge or discredit. her standing. As the daughter of a successful man in a small town, I had a lot of crap and preconceptions to deal with - it really tells you all about the person who puts that shit on you. This person tried to make you feel invalid so she could feel better; she'll never change and ain't a damn thing you can do about her tiny miserable brain. Your career sounds like it will be amazing!!! Go forth and examine! I moved to NYC and escaped that fishbowl 25 yrs ago. 🧘
On the other hand, I had the most amazing interview with a woman for a retail position - we talked for over an hour with only the first 15-20 min being scripted questions. She loved me, I loved her- everything was perfect. She must be the best actress in the world and only pretended to like me because I NEVER heard back - even after I did a follow-up. For another job, I got hired on the spot after 20 minutes and the interview was just ok, nothing special For another office job, I got hired with no interview - just a casual convo on the day I started and I loved that job. It’s so frustrating because we spend so much time stressing out and perfecting our answers and sometimes it’s for nothing but with both positive and negative outcomes being possible. Great video!!
It's true! I'm sure that in at least 50% of interviews (depending on the position, of course) your actual responses don't even matter. They just judge whether they like you or not by your appearance and the way you come off, how you speak, etc. Those first impressions are everything, and unfortunately, not everyone is going to like you, no matter how qualified you may be. That's what I've learned anyway...
@@LaDiiGiggleZ718 Jobs where you can tell that they need people, fast! Look at what the job is, think about what kind of answers a good match would give, then go in and play that part! Of course, not if it's something you can't do or don't want to. I faked it like this into jobs right after college in NYC cuz I was starving and nervous. You'll have to do it a few times and think of the rejections as one step further toward your job! Still here after 25 yrs.
As someone who interviews people as part of my job, she did ALL the wrong things. The only thing I do is we don’t always make eye contact but I assure the person that we will not be making eye contact because we write down their answers. We do this for two reasons. One is for hr purposes because we need to justify our reasoning to hire and decline people to ensure we are being fair and equal to all candidates. Two is because we may interview several people back to back and we want to go back and remember what they answered. I try to make my interviewees as comfortable as possible because I get so nervous when I am the interviewee. Honestly though my advice, if someone interviews like that lady DECLINE the job if offered. That person would be miserable to work with. Also one more thing. I sometimes talk about myself in one sentence to say how I started but that is to show that we care about growing from within. Especially because I interview for the entry level position I don’t want them to feel like they’ll be stuck in entry level because I’ve worked for other companies that do not promote from within. I do not however go on and on about myself. That’s just rude lol
Any advice for someone who wants to go job hunting again? I'm 37, so I don't have youth going for me anymore. I hate job hunting which is why I've been stuck in retail 11 years, and I get discouraged. So I can use any advice you've got so I feel better prepared. I'm just curious what an interviewer is looking for in both resume and interview. And are cover letters that important? I hate them, but should I just suck it up and do them?
If your company doesn't insist on you to refrain from eye contact, I would seriously reconsider this approach. Eye contact with a job applicant allows you to gather critical information about the prospect's personality. In addition to visual info, people tend to give more genuine answers when they are speaking on a more connected level, it's a much more efficient way to accurately assess them. The step of speaking to a person looking down recording answers could as effectively be done with a questionnaire. You could also put a clause in the application that grants you the right to record the conversation for transcription purposes and the tape could then be typed up and subsequently destroyed.
I had a bad experience with Micheal Kors! She literally was being childish I was going for a leadership position and was highly qualified. She indicated I didn’t have luxury experience however I was the manger at Dior for 2 years. However I’m glad I didn’t get it I wouldn’t want to have a manager like that.
Ambers Alerts I was actually at a job interview at Enterprise, and the regional manager told me that his wife works at Michael Kors. He said it was super catty there, and at meetings they try to undermine and ambush each other to seem dominant. I wound up not wanting to work at Enterprise and he could tell and he denied me before I could deny him lol, but that little part of the interview really stuck out to me. I think a lot of female dominated companies are like that to be honest. I worked at a unisex salon and it was catty there as well. Anyways, seems like you dodged a bullet.
I’m a very thin person and I remember going to a bank interview and the lady interviewing me looked me up and down and told me how thin I was before starting our interview. I remember stressing so badly about not getting the job. Looking back, I wish I would have told her how rude it was and NOT stress about working for someone like that. I feel you!
I experienced this same type of interview recently and FELT THE EXACT SAME WAY. I walked out of that interview asking myself, "did that just happen?" I felt attacked? and ignored? during an interview? it was so unreal. It did give me a sense of disappointment in myself and in the people who interviewed me since these are people I looked up to in a professional manner. I as well thought it was going to lead me to where I want to be career wise but I am now reminded that another door that is meant for ME, will open. It is also a sort of relief to know someone as talented and well spoken as you went through a similar nightmare as I did lol, All thanks to your storytime! I appreciate it and I do feel blessed to have come across your video!
I once had an interview when I was a teenager at a kid's play place where they would host birthday parties. After the interview I was told I'd have to work a party before being officially hired. I said that wouldn't be a problem and cancelled all my plans for the weekend. When I got to the party the other associate told me another girl was supposed to work it but, she had been sick for 2 weeks so, it would just be 2 of us and 25 kids. I worked the party and enjoyed it, the other girl said she was impressed with how I worked and that she could tell I was great with kids. A week later I still hadn't heard anything about if I had the job or when I should start so, I walked up to the location. When I met with the owner she said they had decided to go in another direction. I was crushed. I found out later they never had the intention of hiring me or amybody else for that matter. They just needed someone to fill in for the sick girl. Worst part was that I never even got paid for the day I worked.
That is awful! Honestly I’d be surprised if that wasn’t illegal. I’m sorry that happened to you and I wish you the best in your future job/career/job search
I’ve worked retail for years and the amount of abuse I get from customers for no reason is ridiculous. People just love to take their shit lives and bad days out on us and I’ve spent so many days crying after my shifts, it’s not fun at all.
A lot of managers say that they really like you and need to talk to someone else to give you a job, but they are just bluffing and trying to be nice and don’t intend on hiring you. It’s happened to me a couple of times.
so true, I went through a very long interview but the guy had checked out within the first minute... he looked tired and was staring at my boobs or at other people in the store. I had to tell the same type of stories about when I faced adversity and challenges in my life, neither of us were into it. It was all for a coffee shop job. So awkward.
She was sending so many mixed signals to Sam though. Like at the start, talking about herself and texting people etc then near the end, saying how she would take her on etc. A bit confusing and misleading!
Yes, my take on this is that she was threatened by you. You're young and pretty and that made her feel insecure so she was definitely playing a power game. She was lying. I would have called her out. I have experienced situations like this...working for other women sucks!!
OMG you are 100% absolutely right about the part "people who are so into themselves and they think their so much better than everyone else" I can relate to this so much because I know such people in reality, sadly. Smh.
It is so hard when you're starting out. I had so many horrible job interviews back in the day. I remember one that was advertising a marketing job with top notch clients and big names. Showed up to the interview in a beautiful suit and ready to go. The waiting room was filled with other people waiting to be interviewed. I get called in and the guys office is totally empty except for some staged basic furniture. No paperwork or anything to give it a look that any actual work occurs there and no other people besides him and a receptionist. He wouldn't let me ask any questions about the job and got offended when I was jotting down some notes as he spoke so I could remember questions for later. He wouldn't answer anything and said I would have time to ask questions on the first day! Told me I looked great, wear the same suit tomorrow and some comfortable shoes not the stilettos I had on. The whole thing seemed completely shady so called the next day and said I wasn't coming. He didn't even remember who I was one day later! Turns out I had a friend who later applied unknowingly and actually went on the first day. They ended driving her like 3 hours away in a beat up Dodge with two dudes to sell computer paper by going door to door in random office buildings. LMAO! Completely dodged a bullet with that one! I tell people if you get a bad feeling from the interview trust your instinct and forget it. Those jobs that I have had a bad feeling but took it anyways always turned out to be my most miserable jobs.
I was being interview for a cellphone store. I always dress up for interviews & when I left the house that morning it was chilly. November in the south is weird- it might be 35 degrees in the morning and 75 by lunch. So I show up to meet the owner in a blouse with a leather jacket over it and I hadn’t intended on removing my jacket & this wasn’t a shirt that would’ve been appropriate for an interview without the jacket. Where it went wrong was he interviewed me on the sidewalk outside the store 😳 in the direct sun. So it was really hot. The kicker was he asked to SEE MY ARMS because “you know you’re wearing a jacket in this heat” and I couldn’t help but shoot back “well I’ve NEVER been interviewed on a sidewalk before.” It took me a second to even understand what he was asking for. Oddly enough I did get that job and the manager who trained me from another store is now my boyfriend of 3 years. We’ve both moved on from there but I’ll always been glad I got the job or I doubt I would’ve met my partner who lived about 45 min away. But yeah that’s the story of when my future boss asked to check my arms for track marks because I wore a jacket in November. Lol
I had a similar experience with a job interview I'm pretty sure was a prank. a local ballet company was looking for a sales person for their tickets and the guy interviewing me started grilling me about my experience as a musician in high school band (this was 6 years after i graduated high school) and started bitching at me about my answers. He used the whole thing to show off his amazing knowledge of classical music and at the end, he didn't even shake my hand. He also just like stood up and walked out of the room and that was the end of the interview. I thought there was a second part and he was gonna go get the person who was really interviewing me but that was just the way he ended the interview
To me it sounds like this woman wasn't looking to hire people full-time. The job ad was there to get people in the door so she could sell them on volunteering for the make-up event.
Right??!! Especially if you don't have to go through any type of interview process to determine that you actually can do makeup, and you don't have to go through any type of training to learn about the specific products you're using (and essentially trying to sell)!
No joke had a similar experience at a Macy’s! One of my husbands friends, girlfriend told me about working at a makeup counter in a Macy’s. I told her I don’t even wear makeup and she was adamant that it didn’t matter. I can only vaguely remember what happened, but I remember being totally being blown off by the manager doing the interview. I can also remember her talking a ton about herself. Glad it worked out for both of us!
Interviews are a two way street. It let’s prospect employers get to know you and see how you are, but it’s always a great way for you to see how the employer is. So when I go into interviews I’m also judging the place I may be working at as well.
Yes, this is such a good way to look at it!! I adopted this perspective two years ago and it has definitely changed the way interviewers see me. Like they don't see me as someone that is begging for a job, but rather someone that has value to bring to the market.
Sounds similar to an interview I had, the lady interviewing me tried pretending I showed up the wrong time and day. I had to show her the email she sent me confirming that time and day for me to interview. She couldn’t find my resume so I sat waiting for her to start the interview, which started 15 minutes late as she was not prepared and was turning other applicants away that showed up the exact same time as me!🙄😑.Once she finally sat down she barely asked anything and spoke up other personal things and that was it. She was so unprofessional and unorganized.
Happened to me today I cried all day because this woman was so rude to me it wasnt even a interview I was in there for about 50 seconds at least and I'm still in school.but my hours were good enough to have that spot i feel very deafeated and diminished so embarrassing to walk out with people staring at me because I had just went in
I had a lady be really rude to me when I was applying for a kitchen job and basically tell me Thanks but I think I’m gonna pass 😱I was mortified! That whole interview still haunts me... and I was positive that she pulled the wrong resume from her database. She called me again a week later to come in for a interview I got to tell her off and tell her Thanks! but I think I’m gonna pass!
That’s a horrible experience. Thank you for sharing it to help others. It’s horrific how disrespectful interviewers can be. In my ‘20s a woman interviewed me for a telemarketing position and was blowing bubbles at me during the whole time. Yes, bubbles from a bottle to her mouth to the air. Ask me how I would deal with it now. I’d write to the CEO and post about it.
I once had an interview where they were convincing me not to have a job at all. "Oh you're going to school? Why don't you live off of your student loans????" 😑
i’m very shy and like to avoid confrontation.. but i honestly at one point in that interview would decide that i don’t want to work for someone like her and would walk out of the interview. i’d probably feel super anxious at first.. but i mean, i’m sure she wouldn’t even notice honestly
This reminds me of my first "real" interview when I was 19. I had always worked in poultry houses, processing plants and cleaned houses on the side. Trust me, I wasn't afraid of getting dirty. But I was excited to apply for Cato ( and like you there was no requirements other than a high school diploma), I was nervous of course, but I dressed nice and noted to wear accessories because I remember that the employees at the store wore a bunch of bracelets and overlapping necklaces. When I first got there and no lie the first thing she said was. " I only called you in because your resume was unusual". But she said it in a joking manner so I just laughed and said yes and agreed. It started off okay, basically asking me what I did in my last jobs and why I would apply to retail. Then it just got stressful. She started asking questions none of which were the basic retail questions (strengths weaknesses, what's something you overcame in your work, nothing).. literally only people in upper management would know. I had no idea what she was talking about so I just went with. "I can't answer that but I am more than willing to learn." I felt like a moron. When it was over she smiled and rolled her damn eyes and said "Well it was nice meeting you. You looked nice anyway." I walked out of there completely terrified of going through interviews. I also applied to Walmart for the clothing department as well. They called me in. I had three people sit in front of me, very friendly. Asked me the basic questions and hired me soon after. I then came to realize that the lady that interviewed me at Cato KNEW I didn't know the terminology of retail (I feel even more stupid now because she specifically said at the beginning she felt my resume unusual so obviously she knew I had no previous retail experience). So she decided to make a complete ass out of me instead. *I also want to note that I wasn't expecting for the lady at Cato to just straight up hire me. I just wasn't expected to feel so stupid about myself for not knowing things*
Omfg I had almost the EXACT same experience with Macy’s! Lady was on the phone & then told me she would “hire me on the spot” if she could. Never received another call or email from them. She ignored the voicemails I left so I gave up
I had an interview with Kohl's and somehow my preferred name and my legal name got mixed up so thw lady (who interviewed me) was going on for 5 minutes about how that was unprofessional and your I-9 and stuff like that. Akd them she asked me when im available i said im open, i told i cant drive my mom takes me. She said your mom works doesnt she? So why are you open if you can't drive, that's rude to your mom to drive you everywhere. You should get a licenses. After that i walked out crying.
It’s kind of true unless it suits your mom and is near her work but it depends on your age as to whether it’s “rude” or not I mean she’s ur mom she wouldn’t mind doing it for a few months until you get a licensw
It’s okay, she probably was trying to give u advice but it came out wrong some ppl don’t know how to talk to people.. but u should use ur real name when ur applying for a job and then when u meet in person u can say hi my name is *blank* but I go by *blank* also she’s not allowed to ask u about transportation it’s illegal..but I see where she was coming from unless ur mom agreed to take u to work whenever, it’s best to have a set work schedule don’t say ur available bc they’ll put u on whatever shift which could be conflicting
Regardless ^^^^ none of her damn business. Is she the mom, is she driving you to and from work? NO. All that should concern her is that you have transportation and you’re on time, that’s it. How you get there is none of her business.
It’s okay I worked at kohl’s and I can for sure tell you that you’re not missing out on anything lol and that lady is probably just a bitter bitch who most likely isn’t happy with her own life
I had the same experience with my first corporate job interview with a crazy older Karen recruiter 😂 I feel never understand why people can't act normal.
I had an interview with a company five years ago. She interviewed me while eating her Chicken McNuggets and feet kicked up over her desk. I was told within the first two questions that my “qualifications might not meet the standard”, (This was for a call center) and that they would have to “get back to me”. I was never returned a phone call. 😂🤷🏻♀️
i tried working in retail but i quit after the 4th day 😣 and once i applied for a job (retail) we had to go through exams and personal interview lol the interviewer told me the only thing she noticed about me that she did not really like is that i showed "2 much confidence" when i answered the questions but then she said she likes me and gave me a form to fill in my details cuz i got the job but a few days later they sent me an email telling me that i did not get it 😂😂 so stupid ugh 😣 anyways, love you gurl ❣ ur doing an awesome job 💜💜
Lol yes retail is hard. I don't think I could ever do it again. And isn't it so frustrating when people do that?! Like don't tell me I have the job when I don't.
I'm going to school right now for Communications as well and I have no clue what to do with it at all! I've always thought about after college, if my degree doesn't work out, then going to beauty school. for me personally, I could never do the typical 9-5 desk job either! 😭
If you don't have any plans to do anything specifically with your degree, I HIGHLY suggest switching to business!! I wish I had done that because it could have been sooooo much more useful to me now!
I'm so sorry about that. The lady who interviewed you seems very narcissistic. It was misleading how they advertised their job posting. I feel like that's the job market nowadays. Any job will be "entry level", but you need to have 20 years of experience, go to the moon, and find a cure for cancer (at least that's how I and a lot of people interpret it). The expectations are increasing and starting to become unrealistic. IDK if that makes sense.
I hate ppl like your interviewer .. it’s probably also a little bit off her being intimated by u /ur potential - u handled urself well .. definitely never let other ppls problems bring u down or make u feel a certain way 💙 just go that much harder towards ur goals
i had a boss that would make people wait longer to come in for interviews sometimes and have another employee nearby the interviewee to watch how restless they get. he would go out to lunch right before they come to test their patience! ridiculous to me but just thought i should share :)
I worked at Macy’s in accessories as a teenager in the late 90’s (yes, I’m getting old, lol.) The manager threatened to “nab security on your ass” when I truly accidentally forgot to lock or close the expensive purse cabinet all the way while helping customers. She was such an awful manager, there was a petition to have her fired. She is as an example of how some people act really pathetic when they get a tiny bit of power. They must feel badly about themselves so they need to feel better than others by treating others poorly.
Wow I had no idea you had a communications degree 📜, That is what I am studying for rn. Watching your videos inspires me to push forward :,) and take a different route. I’ve been looking into cosmetology for the longest !!! Still on the fence about what I want to do but beauty is on my top list !
I had a terrible one where the lady was so f@#$ing rude that I almost stopped the interview to ask what the problem was. She just acted like I wasn't what she expected right off the bat. Almost like I walked in with goth clothes and makeup with a septum.piercing
Omg! I worked at the Macy's makeup counters for a few years and even transferred locations! It sucked! The head of the makeup department didn't even interview me, the store manager did. I did however get the opportunity to travel to chicago to be trained for the counter I eventually ended up at. Working for MACYS was the shitty part... especially when they made me work at 4pm on Thanksgiving and I wasn't off until 11:30am (I got a 4 hour break in the middle to sleep...) AND the 3% commission is kind of bullshit in my opinion.
I once had an interview at a dog daycare place and the manager (which was a male) told me to tell me about myself. He said "So do you have a boyfriend? Where do you live? Age?" Like excuse me? You just asked if I had a boyfriend..? Creepy. Also told me I wouldn't be able to Uber there (even though it was a 5 minute drive) but he could take the train and a longboard to work. Let's just say I didn't take the job
Omg I had a similar experience at Macy’s too!! Went for the interview and apparently no one was there to interview me from the beauty department so they had a men’s department manager (???) come interview me. She didn’t ask any questions about my experience and when she got to the mandatory questions she didn’t write down any of my answers. Also she took 3 full phone calls during my interview and never said excuse me or I’m sorry. I left feeling like damn I must’ve done something wrong to have such a shitty experience but not even an hour later I get a voicemail saying I got..the..job.... safe to say I didn’t accept 😂
It sounds like a bad fit. Sometimes people just automatically dislike one another, and will then put way more stumbling blocks into the conversation. It's automatic, it's subconscious.
I went to apply at a tax office and when asked why I left my old job I told them I was sexually assaulted and harassed out of it. I had just graduated and didn’t want to seem like I was not qualified so I was just honest. They laughed. It was the worst feeling in the world. I felt like I was being stabbed especially because it was two women and a man interviewing me.
Oh gosh, I think there might be some kind of conspiracy at Macy's to make employees miserable or something. 🤣 My friends who worked there hated it too.
I had a similar situation with one of the hiring managers from Macy’s. She had a degree in criminal justice but she then decided to work in Macy’s and that she was so successful at the store. Blah blah blah... got the job and quit when I found a job in my field.
omg i have had a job interview at a local clothing store (where they make all their clothes) and the owner asked me questions but his back was to me, and he was working on his computer on his schedule... i stopped too and was like, is he listening? he eventually turned around and offered me the job but i declined. so strange!!
Ingrid Weiner it’s just something I thought was cute. I’ve always been really bored with my actual name:/ It’s one of the most basic and overused names and I know at least 12 other Rachel’s - I just wanted something different about it. I know it doesn’t sound right but the dots make me happier
I remember I went to an interview not that long ago and the manager of the store interviewed me and during the interview she said “i know a lot of people talk shit about me but if you’re going to do that wait till you step out that door then you can run your mouth” 😂😫
I had a similar experience with Macy’s manager for a sale position super rude and unprofessional. They feel they’re better then everyone .. they told me I was over qualified .
I know this is old but I also had a Macy's interview and also got those makeup related questions. I was thrown off by then as well, because it said no experience necessary, but I just went with what I knew.
Aren't you glad you discovered how bad this rude person was before you got hired and had to work for the rude person? I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me

What job didnt give you an interview .I have bad social anxiety.i need to know what job was that
@@styledbysamvay You are wise!
She looks like Miranda Cosgrove in this video !!
Omg now I can’t unsee it
Where?
He he
Holy poop! She does! Lol
You dodged a bullet on this one. As soon as she got on her phone I would have said thank you and walked out. Glad to see your in a good place now 🖤
Bm
Aw thank you! Yes, it's a horrible feeling at the time, but don't let it keep you down! Something greater is waiting for you :)
Sounds like she found out she could give interviews and just started giving them out for a power trip
Oh helllllllll no!!!!!
People can be the worst
Aw. Man that's terrifying. I can relate. Hope you have better days.
Currently watching this in the bath with an eye mask on. Lol might be my new favorite thing
A lot of managers say that they really like you and need to talk to someone else to give you a job, but they are just bluffing and trying to be nice and don’t intend on hiring you. It’s happened to me a couple of times.
Unfortunately this is how most interviews go they know they want you within the 5 seconds they meet you. Basically she didn’t like you 😑
That does not justify her behavior
True, but why waste the person's time? At least ACT professional and do the damn interview properly!
so true, I went through a very long interview but the guy had checked out within the first minute... he looked tired and was staring at my boobs or at other people in the store.
I am finishing up hair school right now and living for your story times lol!!❤️
If she did that to me while I was giving her answers I would had got up and left . 🤷🏻♀️ lol I love the HD foundation too by the way .
It's funny she smack talked that foundation off all products. That's an extremely popular product for a reason.
Definitely dodged a bullet!!
I had a bad experience today and my heart goes out to myself and others who went through really bad interview. This sucks
Lol
Lol this reminded me of when they interviewed me for Sprint Mobile..they asked me whats my favorite color😂
Hahaha what?!?! So random!
Omg yes! I had a interview for Carters, a baby clothing store and he asked me what’s my favorite chocolate bar 🙄
J. what did you say and did you get the job tho
squid jelly I said Kit Kat and I don’t even like chocolate 🤦🏽♀️ and no I didn’t 😩
J. damn well they missed out!
Omg Sam you’re looking gorgeous every time!! 😍💕
Thank you so much!
You're my favourite RUclipsr atm! You tell your stories so well!
It weirds me out that volunteers can just come in and do makeup 😬
You look GORGEOUS!! Your makeup, is flawless. 🌹
Thank you so much!
I love you ❤️
Interviews are a two way street.
You are so beautiful! I love the dark hair with that red lipstick. Your shirt and jacket look adorable. I love your story time videos. ❤️💕
Thank you :)
Thank you for the message at the end of three video! I’m watching this at a time of my life where I really needed that 💕
Happened to me today I cried all day because this woman was so rude to me it wasnt even a interview I was in there for about 50 seconds at least and I'm still in school.but my hours were good enough to have that spot i feel very deafeated and diminished so embarrassing to walk out with people staring at me because I had just went in
I had a lady be really rude to me when I was applying for a kitchen job and basically tell me Thanks but I think I’m gonna pass 😱I was mortified! That whole interview still haunts me... and I was positive that she pulled the wrong resume from her database. She called me again a week later to come in for a interview I got to tell her off and tell her Thanks! but I think I’m gonna pass!
Wow smh
i love your storytimes, you have the most soothing voice lol keep em coming!!!
You’re really entertaining ❣️ hope you’ll keep the STORYTELLING/STORY TIME on, regardless of the topics
Obsessed with your videos always get so excited to see you post
That’s a horrible experience. Thank you for sharing it to help others. It’s horrific how disrespectful interviewers can be. In my ‘20s a woman interviewed me for a telemarketing position and was blowing bubbles at me during the whole time. Yes, bubbles from a bottle to her mouth to the air. Ask me how I would deal with it now. I’d write to the CEO and post about it.
I once had an interview where they were convincing me not to have a job at all. "Oh you're going to school? Why don't you live off of your student loans????" 😑
Hahaha what the hell!
Wow! What? Lol.
Makes me wonder if there was a job opening at all. I wonder if they were just expanding their “who will work for free” pool.
Ughh loved this fit on you ❤️❤️!! That lip color and your top goes so well together
Omg! I would have flipped if my potential employer was on their phone like that! I would have told her to grow up and left
I came across your page less than a week ago, I’m literally obsessed! Lol I wake up and just start watching your videos 🤣 love you already!!
I’m graduating with my BA in Communications next year have no idea what I’m gonna do 🥴
Oh girl, I've been there!! It's so tough and confusing, but you'll figure it out eventually. :)
i’m very shy and like to avoid confrontation.. but i honestly at one point in that interview would decide that i don’t want to work for someone like her and would walk out of the interview. i’d probably feel super anxious at first.. but i mean, i’m sure she wouldn’t even notice honestly
I really love your hair this darker cool color .
"I can't answer that but I am more than willing to learn."
I felt like a moron. When it was over she smiled and rolled her damn eyes and said "Well it was nice meeting you. You looked nice anyway."
I walked out of there completely terrified of going through interviews.
It’s okay I worked at kohl’s and I can for sure tell you that you’re not missing out on anything lol and that lady is probably just a bitter bitch who most likely isn’t happy with her own life
I just found your channel. I love the way you tell stories. Your voice is so soothing.
"Why are you giving me all this attitude? I didn't make the product" 😂
It honestly sounds like a nightmare interview!
I had the same experience with my first corporate job interview with a crazy older Karen recruiter 😂 I feel never understand why people can't act normal.
5:08 - 5:20 that’s the classic definition of what we in the streets call a Narcissist 🤲🏼
WoW. How rude! I can’t stand people that are obsessed with themselves
i tried working in retail but i quit after the 4th day 😣 and once i applied for a job (retail) we had to go through exams and personal interview lol the interviewer told me the only thing she noticed about me that she did not really like is that i showed "2 much confidence" when i answered the questions but then she said she likes me and gave me a form to fill in my details cuz i got the job but a few days later they sent me an email telling me that i did not get it 😂😂 so stupid ugh 😣 anyways, love you gurl ❣ ur doing an awesome job 💜💜
Lol yes retail is hard. I don't think I could ever do it again. And isn't it so frustrating when people do that?! Like don't tell me I have the job when I don't.
That's crazy. A similar thing happened to me when I was a freshman in college.
Btw I love the way you speak and carry yourself. You're so grounded. 👌
You’re so cute!!!! Love your white nails💕
Thank you!
I always end up watching your videos in the shower lol love your channel girl 💕
Thank you :)
They must feel badly about themselves so they need to feel better than others by treating others poorly.
im already obsessed with you omg
I love your energy and your content. Hope you keep making videos.
Wow I had no idea you had a communications degree 📜, That is what I am studying for rn. Watching your videos inspires me to push forward :,) and take a different route. I’ve been looking into cosmetology for the longest !!! Still on the fence about what I want to do but beauty is on my top list !
Lmao “ I didn’t make the product” lmaoooooo
You don’t have to any questions like that unless you want to once you get the job offer it’s consider discrimination during an interview
Ew!
@@kyliej3601 but why does it matter if I have a boyfriend? It's none of his business. It's creepy and not professional at all
Omg I had a similar experience at Macy’s too!!
Omg that is terrible! Why would anyone text/phone whilst in an interview?? That is so rude! Bullet definitely dodged 😂🤣
I work in retail lol
Really enjoy your storytime videos! Thanks! 😊✌👍
I think u should have made a formal complaint because just imagine how many other people she has done this to.
It sounds like a bad fit. Sometimes people just automatically dislike one another, and will then put way more stumbling blocks into the conversation. It's automatic, it's subconscious.
I agree. That is an excellent point!! You are 100% correct. That happened to me.
Yep
i love your story times haha
I went to apply at a tax office and when asked why I left my old job I told them I was sexually assaulted and harassed out of it. I had just graduated and didn’t want to seem like I was not qualified so I was just honest. They laughed. It was the worst feeling in the world. I felt like I was being stabbed especially because it was two women and a man interviewing me.
Wow. That's disgusting. I'm so sorry that happened to you (both incidents).
she probably told her boss that you mentioned HD 😂
I recently just found your channel but I’m in love 💓💓💓💓 you’re so beautiful and I love your videos
Thank you so much :)
I’m pretty sure when products put HD in the name, they mean it will look good even on HD camera
Lol right... that's what I told her, but she was NOT happy with that response.
Power trip managers are the worst….
That lipstick looks so awesome on you
Btw what lipstick is it? Lol
Thank you! I linked it in the description box!
omg i have had a job interview at a local clothing store (where they make all their clothes) and the owner asked me questions but his back was to me, and he was working on his computer on his schedule... i stopped too and was like, is he listening? he eventually turned around and offered me the job but i declined. so strange!!
You were too nice to that idiot. God bless you.
I need to know this lip! Looking gorgeous girl!
Right that's what I want to know its so pretty 💙💜💙
I need to know too! ❤️
Thank you! I just linked it in the description box!
Girl this makeup is giving me liiifeeee
Oh I had a boss like that but at a pool. Then one at a McDonald’s... I learned my lesson
Ok but your top is SO cute where is it from?😍💕
Rachel Rogers i’m pretty sure I have the exact same top (American Eagle) but Sam can actually pull it off unlike me lol
Molly Rosales I’m sure you look amazing!!💕
Lol yes it's from American Eagle. It's from last summer though, so I'm not sure if it's still available!
Sam Vay thank you! I will snoop around in the store and see👀😂
Ingrid Weiner it’s just something I thought was cute. I’ve always been really bored with my actual name:/ It’s one of the most basic and overused names and I know at least 12 other Rachel’s - I just wanted something different about it. I know it doesn’t sound right but the dots make me happier
I love doing hair too!
Yikes sounds crazy
I remember I went to an interview not that long ago and the manager of the store interviewed me and during the interview she said “i know a lot of people talk shit about me but if you’re going to do that wait till you step out that door then you can run your mouth” 😂😫
Venena 😂omg that’s so funny
I think I would have just stopped, stood up, said “nice meeting you, thank you for your time” and politely left.
GIRL you look phenomenal😍
Oooh thank you!!
