After researching several other RUclipsrs regarding dual-strap camera harnesses I also stumbled on to your site and decided to order one. I also added 2 of their Chest Straps so I can connect them to the front D-rings and to my ThinkTank holster to allow for 1-2 more lenses at the ready in front. I had just ordered a far more expensive strap from a different company before discovering your fantastic review of the Desired Leather strap. Thanks so much for this...great review and thinking of getting one. Is there a quick release on these? Or is it easy to hold the camera over your head and shoot? I do this a lot at events and it seems like a small thing but it’s important for me before purchasing a strap!

I used it for a lot of weddings and man is it fantastic! I used it for events, family shots, weddings, journalism, etc. And it’s my favorite of all times. Recently heard about holdfast, and went to check reviews on youtube, and found this video. I'm glad I found out about it. It's a great camera harness system (with great styles), and it would be useful for my single camera, and perhaps future double camera system.
Shame they don't make a version with pouches. I'm hoping to look for a very similar harness/holster system for my everyday carry.....phone, wallet, keys, stuff.

To be honest I am not a fan of leather pouches for the lenses. However and this been said, their products being what they are, if you like the style am sure you’ll get something good. Their belts are amazing too btw 😊

Hello Mark, thanks for stopping by. They have since changed a few things such as the addition of a leather strip where I used to put my peak design anchor. Also, the security strap is now leather as well. In terms of carabiners, they are the standard ones that other companies such as Holdfast Moneymaker use. They are very strong and durable for as far as I could see in the past year of use.

Great harness! Used mine for 4 months now. Ordered it on the 28th of December and had it delivered by the 6th of January.
The only thing I have changed about are the safety clips - upgraded to a Peak Design system.
Other than that, I find the cameras rotate and tangle a lot around the safety leather straps which is a bit annoying. I’m still working out a system that would help me avoid this.
How have you upgraded to Peak Design clips? is that a customisation option with the vendor because I cant find it

I was wondering if there is a belt hook available to attach the cameras so they don't swing around or fall forward when I bend over. Similar to the Rose-Anvil strap.

Hello Gregor, which peak design screws are you referring to? This is not a peak design strap and I used peak design anchors as a work around but this was since fixed in the new updates straps that come with a leather strap instead.

Regarding the belt, I did receive one but I don't know that it is a standard action from the company (in fact, might have been a promotional action since it was a year and half ago - not sure).

can you anchor the cameras to your belt or belt hoops?
No you cannot (for the purpose of this system you don’t want to have the camera hooked so they can freely move when taking photos). I usually simply take it off when not using it

It stays put with 2 mirrorless cameras without a problem. HOWEVER, they sell one that can be put on the hooks on the front of the strap in case. I was thinking to buy it until I tried them on.

Ya... those are a « tad » bigger. However, if you look at the Instagram account of desired leather you’ll find some pretty intense setups in terms of lens/body combos and a LOT are not mirror less. So I think you’ll be pretty safe. In terms of movement, u might wanna take the additional leather strip for the front in case - never know!
Take a large model (like the one I show in the video) so it has enough holding surface area for the chest and shoulders. I since got 2 other straps and man do I love them!

S - It is about 175cm height or less, and 70kg or less.
M - It is 175 - 187cm height, and 70 - 95kg.
XL - It is 187cm height and more,and 95kg and more.

I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to test it yet unfortunately BUT I have some weddings coming up so can’t wait! I think it’s doesn’t make a huge difference in terms of body weight and size as leather is very resistant but will have to test them. I use Fuji bodies that are small (mirror less) so can’t tell with a DSLR.

Only comment is to be careful with leather terminology. You clarified that it is full grain after you indicated it is genuine leather. These can be different grades of leather. Full grain is probably the correct term in this case, which is the best

Mhello Tyki, true they do. I tend to hold them with my hands if I have to run or go faster. But in 2 years of usage, I never had a si clé problem with them. Cheers
@@cris_photography i might give it a try. i use peakdesign slide and capture clip. 1 body on my hip 1 on the strap. i can sit and move around without having them hitting the floor :D
i just wish peakdesign makes a slide with leather instead of something that looks like a fucking seatbelt
