I found “bund” straps years ago on eBay, from a seller who, last time I checked, is out of business. What you have is more what I’ve seen described as a “cuff” or “saddle”. The bund is somewhat noticeably shorter, as the first pictured example you have on this video. If you search watch cuff or saddle, you’ll see examples of what you’re wearing. I know Fossil sells them; I have about four. You can really match some watches you wouldn’t normally consider; I wear my Mudman ( Mudmaster? The 2nd tier) with the extenders and a silicone strap. You’d be surprised how they match. Congrats on your 100k, you deserve it. Always good stuff.
First time I saw a bund strap was on my grandfathers watch, an old soviet Raketa watch. After more than 20 year of wasting away in the attic it still worked when it got to me and it was on this old, thick black leather bund strap which looked alien to me. Since then I started collecting vintage watches and I find they really work well with bund straps (these fragile timepieces also get a bit more protection from your sweat which can corrode the back).
Your Channel has changed my life as well. I had an everyday watch I wore 17 years. just ordered my 1st G-shock I'll have to take off my SKX to put it on.
Congratulations on achieving this milestone, I've been an occassional browser of your channel but the humility shown in your response to getting 100K subs has now made me one of them. Keep safe over there.
A powerfully authentic introduction Jory, got me choked up about how far your T3 channel has come from your 1st review. Before ya know it, we'll be celebrating 200k subscribers. Cheers to all here & horology everywhere! 🍻🥂🍺🍺👏
The Bund Strap is the reason i don't have the original bracelet for my Accutron Spaceview I purchased with high school graduation money in 1973. Those straps were all the rage (not that I knew what they were called) and I left for college with my Spaceview attached to a wide green leather strap somewhere and along the way misplaced my Accutron bracelet. Thanks for beating that drum again. And congratulations on the 100K milestone! Keep at it!
Brother, your genuine enthusiasm and emotion for what you do and the appreciation to your fans is unequalled. I don't know if I've ever watched another RUclipsr that loves what he does as much as you. Keep up the great work!
Your love for watches is genuine and I can see how authentic your passion is with the way you talk about it. You are amazing in what you do and keep on doing so. As a fellow watch enthusiast who is just beginning to learn about it, you are a great help. God bless, man! We support you.
It was your show that started my interests in watching watch shows, my interest in watches came because of my father. Thank you for sharing your passion!
Well done on achieving 100k subscribers! You have to be one of the most genuine RUclipsr's of any genre. We need a special episode once your plaque arrives.
Lots of well deserved love in the comments below. Congrats on 100K, and thanks for igniting my interest in watches. My SBDD003 is getting a Bund strap.
"all my field watches" Two uploads a day for a week. I am genuinely happy for you Jory. Your channel was the first one I found when I started getting into watches and a lot of what I know, I've learned from you. Thank you.
This is awesome Jory! Congrats on your hard work, and the team of guys you celebrate will! I'm happy for you, and it's a cool honor to be part of the celebration with your 100,000 viewer who really enjoy your channel! Keep working hard my man!!!
Bund straps are just about the only way I can wear Vostok watches -- the Stainless they use in their case backs has a very high nickel contact, and I'm badly allergic to nickel.
I remember as a kid, my grandfather who I'm named after, has a collection of Russian watches (I'm Bulgarian, so obviously you will not about the Russian influence) and I do remember that he had one of his watches with that type of strap
Pretty cool. I've had one that I put on my Seiko SNK809. It was such a good look. And I remember one day a women in her 60's stopped me and exclaimed to her friend, "oh my god, do you remember these?". Lmaooo. Couldn't tell if it was a good thing. I love the look of them. Another underrated strap is a twist-o-flex bands. Very classic and comfortable cool.
Hey Time Teller! You inspired me to buy my first watch, it was a G shock, now I have a Seiko King Turtle, an Arnie and a Willard, and I am eying a vintage Cartier Tank! Never thought I could get into watches, but you inspired me to get involved in this hobby. I like all of my watches, I dive with most of them, and look forward to sporting the tank at my desk job. Quick question, can I put a Willard on a Bund? Is that a sacrilege? It was worn on everest expeditions
Glad you reach the 100 K magic number😀. On the subject of straps: I remember going on a military base and (if memory serves me right 1990) seeing either a Zulu or a nylon strap BUT with a cover to hide glare from the glass of the watch. Who made those straps? What’s the name of those straps? Were they government issued? At the time they were only Kaki. Does it remain a mystery? Keep on ticking, John
Hi Jory and everyone else. I really like this channel because it's really down to earth and not snobby at all. So, when it comes to bund straps. There's actually a downside. I bought a new Oris 1917 that comes with a bund strap. Looks really cool. However, after wearing it for a week (I work in an office, so no hard labor here) I noticed scratches on the watch's case back. Dirt seems proned to get stuck between the leather and the case back and scratches the watch. I haven't seen this problem with any of my other watches that I don't wear on a bund strap. So, just a little warning.
Thanks Jory and congrats on 100K, you rock. I have been thinking about the BUND strap for some time now and you are probably the only one who has really made video showing its form and function. If you aren't the first then I am sure your is way better. I already contacted ManCaveLeather and he said he does each one special order and makes it specifically for the dimensions of your watch, so that is so cool. They are $50.00 which is an awesome price if you look at the time to make it and the amount of leather that goes into it. Thanks so much for this informative video. I wonder how my Serica WWW would look on one, well it looks pretty good on about anything if I must say. Stay safe my friend, Brian
Congratulations on the 100k subs! The Bund strap is not only badass looking but also very safe. Had an experience once, i did not notice that one of my springbars snapped. When i checked the time, my watch was dangling but still attached to the strap.
I was wearing those in the 70's. Leather was cool then and the bigger the better. I didnt know the history of it til now. Thank you. I had mine on an old Timex, probably a Marlin if I recall.
Hey dude, I'm not a subscriber but from time to time I do watch your videos when your reviewing something thats relevant to me. I have to say time and time again they are always on point. Love the videos 😎👍
Congrats on the 100k milestone dude, appreciate your style and content. Regarding the bund...I've never owned one and actually used to hate the look of them. But now I want to vary the look of my watches more and these really grew on me. I’ve got some scrap pieces of leather and was thinking of crafting my own DIY bund. I also figure with these types of detachable bunds you can use pretty much any strap to loop through the bund to get more variations with all your straps. Keep up the good work!
I had those straps in the 2000's. They were a big thing back in the 2000's Some didn't have a leather strap to slip in but had loops for the spring bars to connect to the band. I even have a silicone one. Back in 2003 I wore a rectangle one with a rectangle watch out in the heat of Los Angeles. It was in July. I had to take the watch off because all day my wrist was covered in sweat. I changed all my leather strap out a few year later because of the Los Angeles heat and haven't ever warn a leather strap since. I don't see those straps too much as I did in the 2000's but I know they are still available at the fossil store.
Congrats for the 100k subs! Been following this channel for some 1,5 years now, and i can tell that you deserve it. And thats a nice bund strap too, man. Keep it up, stay safe! Indonesia here.
Firstly Congrats on the 100k subs. Secondly "I NEED THIS STRAP" it looks awesome. I have a couple of of mancaveleather straps I got them after the video you made reviewing them last year and you're right they are the best. Love the content next stop 1,000,000 subs👍👍👍
Hi Jory, well done on the 100k subs big man. I've worn Bund straps for many years, specifically on smaller, field type, watches. This is because like you I have big wrists and some of them, e.g. SNK809, can look a bit silly on a large wrist. Add a Bund strap and it makes all the difference. Keep up the good work.
i remember watching That 70"s Show and watching Hydes watch, I Bought a cheap leather bracelet from a street artisan, and fter a few punch hole and cuts, i added it to my Orient star with a thick leather strap and after 7 years still rocking that look, every once in a while.
Hi Jory. Congratulations on 100k(we created a monster). People love you because you are ground and honest. Regarding the strap. I make leather straps in my free time and most of people bring me streps like that(to take a measure) for Fossil watches, so I think that Fossil is selling their watches on that kind of strep as factory. Stay well and keep good work.
I'd like to add a point in addition to what T3 said above. You can use Bund strap to make smaller watches look better on your wrist. I have an 8 inch wrist, and I use a bund strap with my Hamilton Khaki Mechanical. Not only the watch looks awesome, but it doesn't look tiny at all on my wrist. Btw I got the bundstrap from a local strap maker here in Bangladesh who handmade the strap for me. I wanted my Hamilton Khaki Mechanical to have have a strap with military/war heritage.
I am a huge fan of the bund strap, I picked one up from Amazon, a fossil brand leather bund. I put my Seiko neo sport SRPC85 on it and it looks amazing. I call the watch my Seiko King kahki field watch. I also have the Orient Defender 1st gen and I love that watch like you do. CONGRATULATIONS on 100k you totally deserve it.
Bund straps are awesome. I surprisingly stumbled over one at an online shop in my country. It was only available with 18mm lug width, and since it looked really good I ordered it and thought it would be perfect for my Seiko SNK809, which is a kinda mini flieger type B as the dial design goes. Well, that 38mm watch looked ridiculously small on the bund strap. The middle piece was way wider than I expected lol. I then put my 41mm Escapement Time flieger/chrono hybrid on it which already had a strap with matching colour and white stichings, and the proportions went way better. It now looks like the watch came with that bund middle piece. I'll also try it on another flieger style watch I have. Bund straps are indeed a fun way to change a watch's looks.
I've got a good many bunds, about 10 Soviet style ladder bunds, 3 from a company called ESS which were fitted to its submariner homage called the Military Royale in dark brown and black (seriously nice with 5mm thick soft soft leather and a huge buckle and a 22mm lug fitting) and I also buy some for a few pounds each in black or brown which are simple thick hide cuff bunds from a company in China, two of which I have hand riveted with brass rivets and fitted built in compasses and one has my very early Sekonda Safari on, the other has my Eaglemoss 1940's Luftwaffe "Fliegar" on and just very wearable and rugged. I've now got some quality thick hide offcuts and have been making a good start on doing my own, a very super soft oxblood hide piece will hopefully yield my first proper one and its very enjoyable side pastime.
Oh my Vostok Century Time has that exact same green bund strap at 4:35 :) I also have some very nice 5 ring leather NATO's in varying sizes and the 18mm goes very well with my Vostoks and other Russians.
I have worn my watch (usually titanium incl strap) in arctic and jungle and desert and tropical conditions with no burning or freezing or other ill effects. Other than cosmetic I fail to see the need. It does look good and very sturdy though. Love the channel!
I love bunds with vintage watches, especially from the '70s. The look matches completely. I have it on two old cheapos, Orient and Excalibur, and I love them, they look just cool.
I had a really cheap tiny 18mm Bund strap someone gave me, I cut a tiny segment out of the middle and threw it on a Casio F-91 W, surprisingly, it didn't look totally absurd
YOU ROCK BROTHER. CONGRATS‼️ Funny, honest, knowledgeable, candid with confidence (real), and the perfect blend of all QUALITY watch types👍 From Automatics that are high end to affordable value, occasional quartz to mix it up, straps, and the little more rare, but HILAR, rants on a horrible watch or brand! LOVE IT ALL so keep it up and don’t change a thing. Saturday’s and time with Connie allow us to know you on a different level👊🏼 I’ll be watching at 500k subs😜#LiveFreeOrDie
Congratulations! Cheap, accurate time and GPS are one of the most amazing accomplishments of our time, no pun intended. I am amazed at how many variations and styles of watches have come, and gone, and will be made in the future. All the Best! 73 DE W8LV BILL.
I initially got one for my Timex Waterbury Chrono but it wasn't doing anything for me. So I slapped it on my Vostok Amphibia and realized the hole on the center piece (it was for a smartwatch heart rate reader) could be widened to fit the caseback and would stay centered under the watch. Honestly it looks quite nice on my Vostok
Congrats on the 100k subs. Thanks for a video on one of my favorite strap options. Bunds have become something of a fashion fau paux with a lot of watch fans, but I think it's a great way to jazz up a casual look. I was a child in the 70's so perhaps that's why they don't seem offensive to me. All the cool guys were wearing them back then. I like Dassari bund straps, as sold by Strapsco.
Congrats!! I always enjoy your videos. Not surprised that you have so many followers. After all, you are indeed a GOOD MAN 👏👍👏... Take care. Stay safe.
Great video and fun to watch, especially your German impersonation 😂. Alright, I‘m one of the 100k bunch and incidentally have some personal insight on the whole topic concerning citizenship and military affiliation. BUND is imprinted on many issue items of the German armed forces. It’s meant to be a short term for BUNDESWEHR, which means German Armed Forces. Just as you would find the U. S. branding of your own armed forces issue items. I have a modern day BUND pilot’s watch in my collection. There’s BUND milled on the caseback and imprinted on the strap. Even though the Third Reich Luftwaffe aircrew on your black&white photo would have worn a similar looking watch strap, the BUND version of the strap was issued later with the newly formed military of the BUNDESREPUBLIK Deutschland 🇩🇪. Cheers from the other side of the pond.
Congratulations from Egypt! The bund strap that comes to my mind is the one worn by Brad Bitt in once upon a time in Hollywood. Hope to see you soon reaching a million viewers :)
Hi there from Brazil! Just subscribed today! I have a Bund Strap 22mm for my Bronze watch. I realy like it for the smell from the "patina" that cames from the bronze. Nice vídeo, and nice Channel!
Its harder to get a bund strap on with modern watches due to them being so thick, but something thin like the SUF 180 will maybe work well with the bund. Congrats on the 100k T3! Mazel tov!
Papa Shark Actually, I wear a fossil “cuff” with a Mudmaster fit with extenders, and a 22mm silicone strap. You might be surprised how they fit together. Really not as obtrusive as you may imagine.
The MCL bund strap really dressed up your Orient watch!!! I wear bund straps on ALL my wrist watches. Bund straps are classic & timeless in wrist watch wear!!! Great video!!!

Congrats from France🇫🇷. Vote for The Time Teller as next President!! 👍
You may have said this but it's also a good method to minimize allergic reactions to metals if you have them - like you.
Congratulations T3 on 100K! You truly are an authentic person that cares about other people and that's what makes your show so good

Bund straps are just about the only way I can wear Vostok watches -- the Stainless they use in their case backs has a very high nickel contact, and I'm badly allergic to nickel.
Those are fun watches.
They sell a exhibition back for $35.
I remember as a kid, my grandfather who I'm named after, has a collection of Russian watches (I'm Bulgarian, so obviously you will not about the Russian influence) and I do remember that he had one of his watches with that type of strap
CONGRATS JORY ON 100K! Very heartfelt.
I only know Steven Hyde frm That 70's Show wearing a bundstrap
Pretty cool. I've had one that I put on my Seiko SNK809. It was such a good look. And I remember one day a women in her 60's stopped me and exclaimed to her friend, "oh my god, do you remember these?". Lmaooo. Couldn't tell if it was a good thing. I love the look of them.
Another underrated strap is a twist-o-flex bands. Very classic and comfortable cool.
You have been working hard for this. You deserve this milestone. Thank you for telling the time.😊
Hey Time Teller!
Keep on ticking,

7:45 i almost pissed myself of laughter at this part!
Congrats with the 100k!
Greetings from the Netherlands!
I was wearing those in the 70's. Leather was cool then and the bigger the better. I didnt know the history of it til now. Thank you. I had mine on an old Timex, probably a Marlin if I recall.
Congrats on reaching 100,000 viewers!!! You make watch collecting fun!

Well done man! Really enjoy the channel. Your USP is your humour. You’re a funny bloke. Keep it up!
Really looks great Jory. Reminds me of the 70's. Have a manual wind Timex back then. Wish i still had it
The best watch channel on youtube! Congrats brother
Nicely crafted piece .. The two leathers used really add a lot to the straps presentation.
Hi Jory, well done on the 100k subs big man. I've worn Bund straps for many years, specifically on smaller, field type, watches. Very cool strap. I'll have to see if they have one that'll fit my SNK809 and pick it up once I get back to work.
I wore a hand made bund strap with a dive watch made by a local specialty shop from 67-71 when it was stolen in Viet Nam. Enjoyed this look.👍
I wore one of those in the 70s. I also had lime green shag carpet. I have no plans to repeat either mistake. Thanks for the video all the same.
Congratulations on 100K! I've been watching and waiting for more than a week.
Nice to learn about the Bundstrap specially as a German who never hear about this before.

That packaging was so cute, well done to Mrs Man cave
Congrats T3 on your hundred thousand subscribers!
Very good watch/strap combo, looks great!
I had one of those straps once, I'm not a big fan but the Airboss mach 9 limited edition comes with one and it looks dope. I think I would wear it.
Oh my Vostok Century Time has that exact same green bund strap at 4:35 :) I also have some very nice 5 ring leather NATO's in varying sizes and the 18mm goes very well with my Vostoks and other Russians.
Nice job. I love my Bund Strap. Wear it often when at my home in Arizona.
Congratulations on the 100k milestone....keep up the good work
I had one with a watch cover that clipped downed. Very nice buddy.i might go get one for myself.
My father wore (now mine) his 1967 Timex Marlin on this kind of strap. I replaced it with a nato but now I wanna get a bund strap again
Dude you have the best intro theme video. Keep it going!!! On to 200k!
Congratulations! Your hard work is paying off.
Congrats on 100k! Love the channel
I had a really cheap tiny 18mm Bund strap someone gave me, I cut a tiny segment out of the middle and threw it on a Casio F-91 W, surprisingly, it didn't look totally absurd
Congrats Jory on your 100K subscribers..well deserved Sir, please keep the vids coming.
I purchased my first one the other day for my Hamilton mechanical. It looks great and yes its really comfortable.
Well done on your 100k
Congrats on 100k. Really good content. I spend The few hours a week i have free watching youtube vids and your channel is a regular. On to 200k!
I had a Nixon with a cuff strap. It was a type of bunt stap. It was comfortable, but I found my watch when the style was going out.
Jory - went to Mancaveleather.com - I am not seeing any Bund styles there - is that a specific request to Mykola ?

Congrats again on the 100K! Thanks for the history lesson, that strap looks like a beast!
your almost at 200,000 its crazy keep up the work
What color is that main strap if you don't mind me asking? Also, what size watch did you enter when ordering the Bund?
Congratulations on your 100k subscriber milestone - and I am sure it will be a lot more soon.
The MCL bund strap really dressed up your Orient watch!!! I wear bund straps on ALL my wrist watches. Bund straps are classic & timeless in wrist watch wear!!! Great video!!!
Wish you could do more videos on bund straps. I like it!
I love the look of this strap with my Apple Watch it’s the only one I wore for a year till it ripped lol.
Congrats on 100k subs. Don’t really like bund straps, but that one is a pretty good execution of one.
congrats on 100k you deserve it.
Congratulations on 100k subscribers. You have a good channel with good content. Keep it up.👍🍻👏
have you ever tried this with the skx? would love to see a pic of that
It's most likely for protection from cold. So that u don't get frostbite from the metal casing.
