    Thanks for sharing. I purchased the Corio black model and I LOVE it! I am STILL breaking it in after almost a year of owning it. Only funny thing about the design is that, with its polished black finish and chrome rivets, it looks some kind of futuristic harness. But I believe it will outlast every camera I purchase!!

    Seth has had his Holdfast for sooo long, maybe 7 years now. I bought one last year and I really like it too!

    I remember there was a video by holdfast detailing why he used nylon for the safety strap for the camera, and it has to do with the fact that they make a belt clip for the moneymaker, and the release for the belt clip is leather, so that as a user you could differentiate just by feel when you were trying to release the camera from your hip vs. release the camera from the money maker!

    Love my Holdfast. To me it’s well worth the money. American made with quality components.

      I have to agree. If I have my A9 with the 35mm 1.2 on one side and the A7R IV with the 105mm 1.4 on the other, I am not going to take a chance with a cheaper strap. Well worth the peace of mind IMO but of course, we are all different.

      @@LuisGabrielPhotography Do you have any flashes or Battery packs on either of these camera's ? I do a lot of weddings and concerned with the safety of straps before i buy them.

    • @LuisGabrielPhotography
      @LuisGabrielPhotography 3 года назад

      @@desistudioz9040 No battery packs and as far as flash I normally have flashes around the area and just triggers on my camera. And if not then I may use the smaller godox 350 so its not too cumbersome to carry them with the strap. On events though I may go with ambient light too depending on the location.

    There is something iI wished you mentioned in the video and that is sizing. I looked up Coiro and they only offer a single size. I am a bigger guy and Holdfast has a few different options and I messaged them and they are even open to making a custom one as well.

    Side note : I have no idea what the deal was with those two glitchy B Roll clips. It happened during capture, so hopefully a format takes care of it. Anyone else seens those on Sony video clips before? HLG?

    I don't need to use any of them, but I did consider buying the holdfast at one point. I decided not to buy it because of its price, given I would only use it less than 5 times in my entire life time. But I think for the price difference, and if you need to use something like this for work few times a week, the holdfast would probably last longer.

    Hi! Is it only me who has serious concerns about the metal parts to scratch and damage the camera?? Why they use metal? It can at least be rubberized etc.. Please share your experiences.

    a bit late to the game, but I have the moneymaker, living in the Netherlands and getting a hold on any holdfast gear is nearly impossible without crazy import fees and months of waiting. Got one 2nd from a dude that did the importing part. getting to the question, are there any cheap ways to attacht a bag like the sightseer to the moneymaker? other brand, cheaper bag. You can get the attachments for bags from holdfast, but again, crazy expensive, a bit less import fees, but still a long wait.

    Hi Rob, have you tried the padded version of the Coiro harness or the normal one??

    • @robhallphoto

      I've got the normal one. I wanted as similar of an experience to the Holdfast as possible.

    I bought a dual sling from OP/Tech and found that with a 1Dx and 70/200 on one side and a 6DII with a 24/70 on the other that when I picked up one camera, the other drooped significantly and I kept having to fix/center the harness every time I changed cameras or put them back at my side. Wondering how the Coiro harness handles weight and if the harness moves around.

    The only thing that sucks is the squeaky metal carabiner sound when cameras swings. Silent version wuld be great!

    • @robhallphoto
      @robhallphoto  4 года назад

      Holdfast actually recently developed silent ones. Basically identical to black rapid but wide enough to accommodate the Holdfast connector, so they would work for either of these.
