    I miss the signs too and I must have kept fish for at least 15 years in total now. I'm going to treat maybe even 3 to 6 months.
    My track record of saving fish once they look distressed is about a 95% failure rate. So I'm starting to feel that once you see distress - it's too late to save that fish.
    Also - I discussed this with our local fish supplier and they said that certified paracites are resistant to these dewormers - in other words there is not always a solution.
    I'm switching to regular treatment. Can't hurt given the other strategy isn't working for me.
    Thanks for a good & informative video!

    Would it be better to move fish to a smaller tank for deworming or foes the medication kill worms in the tank too?
    Asking because id imagine scale-less fish in a community tank need a different dose and idk if the medicine would hurt live plants?

    What would you suggest for tanks that do have shrimp or snails?

    • @naturallyscaped1135
      @naturallyscaped1135 3 года назад

      I use fluke solve. It is safe with shrimp and other inverts.

    • @AquariumAdventures
      @AquariumAdventures  3 года назад +1

      I've heard of people using 'fluke-solve' with shrimp and snails - it's a Praziquantel based medication. I've just not found it to be particularly effective at the 'getting rid of worms' part, so may need several treatments. Also heard of people using Esha -NDX with success, but not sure if it claims to be shrimp safe or not.

      @@AquariumAdventures There must be a worm predator out there. That would be very useful...

    Is it true that deqorming regularly will make discus fishes infertile? They will not be able to produce fertile eggs..

      I have never heard this before - I have also bread fish that have been regularly wormed, so doubt it.

      @@AquariumAdventures you can but before the friday night live you made more of these kind of videos. I prefer them more than the live videos. In my opinion they are better than live videos. That goes for 90% of the RUclips channels.

      @@michaeldegroot7550 The live streams don't affect my recorded video output. Lives take 2 hours on a Friday evening - recorded videos take much longer, as and when I find time. I have people who prefer the livestreams, and people who prefer the recorded content - If you prefer one over the other, thats cool!
