Hi Lisa, puppies usually have a course of three vaccinations, normally given 4 weeks apart starting when they are from 6 to 8 weeks of age. We recommend you to consult your vet when is the most appropriate time to take your puppy out as it will depend on where you live and the incidence of certain diseases.

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us. Newborn puppies receive disease-fighting antibodies in their mother's milk. However, these antibodies normally last only the first few weeks of life. After that, vaccinations protect your puppy by introducing modified disease-causing agents into their body to stimulate their immune system to produce their own antibodies. I breed Toy Poodles and I only give distemper and parvo at 9, 12 and 16 weeks. I follow up at one year and that is it for life. I've titer tested my dogs at 15 yrs and they still have immunity. You should never give these vaccines younger than 8 weeks! Full stop after booster at a year old. Less than 1/3 of puppies develop immunity after being vaxxed at 6 weeks but 100% will be exposed at the vet clinic. For rabies, I do first vaccine at 24 weeks, booster at a year and then every three years as required by law. I will never give any other vaccine

We recently gave him a second round of dhpp, do I have to wait a couple weeks to get another shot or would he be fine with 2 at the age he’s at? Just curious. (I live in an area that has limited resources for animal care due to limited amount of vets and volunteering, so getting vaccinations rn is a long process and I need to take out my dog to exercise)

Hi Jeanine, thank you again for reaching out to us. Vaccinations stimulate puppies' immune system to produce their own antibodies and protect them against a few diseases depending on the vaccination program in your location. Puppies usually can start going out a couple of weeks after the final vaccination, but we always recommend consulting your vet for more details.

I always had dog's, as puppies they did get the three core vaccines, but I waited until they were 6 months old before getting rabies vaccines. People please understand there are titer tests's a simple blood draw to make sure your dog has the antibodies for rabies, Parvo and distemper. Upon the results of the blood test's all my dog's have had antibodies against all three diseases for the rest of their lives. I feel most vets are following the money trail and just don't care. We must learn how to stand up and protect our pets. If your vet give's you a hard time about over vaccinating find another vet who will work with you. There is a movement to stop the use of over vac. Where I live the vet's are way out of line with pricing and keep pushing products that are not needed. Have your pet tested twice a year with a blood test for heart worm and Lyme. They don't need to take once a month protection, I have seen what this product has done to dog's. There are natural spray formulas that work and smell great. Do your home work big drug companies and all doctors love to push more medication not only on our pets, but ourselves and our kid's. Don't be afraid to stand up to your vet they are not God.

Kept him indoors then he started pooping wet with blood and throwing up. no more appetite. i tried to give him electrolytes but didnt help. also some antibitics didnt help. he died from parvo virus which i think he got from the vaccine. the vaccine beat him

This is a reaction that is NOT okay! I have never vaccinated my dogs and I would especially not vaccinate them at 8 weeks. A vacation will not take to puppies body until they are 10-12weeks. So any vaccination under 10-12weeks is honestly a waste of money. This is a real fact and you can do your own research on it.
Please rethink about vaccinating. Many dogs regress after their vaccinations and these real stories are honestly heart breaking, for the dogs and for the owners.
My best advice, is to do your research! Find out what ingredients are in the vaccinations and find out the risks you are taking.
One concern that many new owners have (which I went through), was PARVO virus. Did you know, that even with your dog having the parvo virus vaccination, your dog can still get parvo?
A natural vaccination you can use with the same effect is Nosode. Other people in the comments have mentioned it too. My dogs have had Nosode and are healthy and happy.

You take your puppy to the vet to get it vaccinated and it's get sick from the vaccinations... The advice is to take it back to the vet!?!
What, so it can be given some man-made synthetic medicine... No Thanks...it's a scam! Vaccinations are evil.
And just like the flu shot... The people that get the flu shot are the ones shedding the live virus on to everyone else getting them sick! The same goes for parvo.
RUclips how many people save their own dogs from parvo...
After the vet told them it would cost 2 to $3,000!!
The pet owners didn't have the money. And vets telling the pet owner, their pets would most likely DIE without their service. Scam!!!

Check out Dr Ronald Schultz on this channel, also Dr Karen Becker and Dr Andrew Jones. Also check out Dr Jean Dodds and Dr Patricia Jordan. Vaccinations are not as safe or effective as what we are led to believe. Unfortunately you have to do ALOT of research to find out the truth. Dogs naturally magazine is excellent and a good place to start. My advice, either use a minimal approach to vaccinations (one DHP at 16 weeks is enough for the life time of the dog, Dr Ronald Schultz has done this for years) or use the natural alternative called nosodes. Nosodes unlike the vaccines have no side effects. Mostly everything most vets tell you is wrong and very misguided, you must educate yourself.

A friend of mine lost her beautiful small fur baby after he had his vaccines. Please research properly! She didn't want him to have them, her husband took him to the vet when she was out of the house and he got three shots into his little body. That afternoon he was shaking and had shallow breathing. The next day he passed away. Pets are very often over vaccinated. Please read the packaging inserts and check the list of side effects and ingredients before vaccinating your fur babies!
