Absolutely excellent advice, delivered clearly and concisely. No waffle at all thank God. The number of time-wasting RUclips videos where the so-called 'trainer' is muffled, waffles inanely on about nothing and subsequently loses your attention is so annoying, and worse, you learn absolutely nothing. We're moving to a new apartment we're ranting the apartment in 1 or 2 years and my dad told me we will talk about getting a dog and I'm pretty excited about it cause I wanted a dog since I was 5 🥺
And did you get a dog yet? Our family always had dogs, I was allowed to get my first one at 7 years old. Unfortunately I live in a city now and travel alot (usually, crazy times we're all in). So now I'm part of pawshake, this way I still get to take care and go for walks with our furry friends for a time.

This is excellent. I've watch a number of similar videos and none are as concise and comprehensive as yours. We're in the process of training our 10 week old miniature poodle and it's been a battle in large part because we've given him far too much territory. I think limiting the space they have is key, removing corners they can disappear around and limiting the area just makes supervision so much easier. He doesn't seem to care about the praise we give when he toilets outside or associate the treats we give as a reward but we'll keep trying.
what if you just piss in your back yard with your dog watching, will the dog do the same?

They wouldn't for sure. If you pee on the place they will just think it's your territory. Because that's how they do to own the place by peeing.

How's your puppy now
. Some tips before you get a puppy:
1. Learn how to hold a puppy properly
2. Have a small dog first aid kid just in case the puppy gets hurt
3. Research vets nearby
4. Get all the things you need such as: leash, dog food, dog bowl etc
5. Have a sleeping arrangement for your dog even though he’s gonna come and sleep on your bed.

Thank you for getting to the point and making connections between how dogs see things vs. humans. Also, everyone says use pee pads. My dog runs to carpet -- now I know why. This is going to be a very long process as she is dumb compared to my lab/pitbull mix who was very intelligent. Thank you.

I was advised to pretty much live in the garden, and I’ve heard horror stories of dogs peeing and pooping inside for months. That was NOT gonna be me.
The handful of accidents inside was our mistake 100 percent. We just took him out immediately after where he usually peed a second time. Lots of praise.
He was accident free from 9 weeks 3 days old.
I was paranoid until he was 6 months though. He was often allowed out to pee just on case.
I used the method the video talks about. Out immediately after any change of activity, and always the very last thing we did bedtime bedtime. (He was also free roam, no crate.)
I have an american stafford. People say american staffords are really dumb. But he is really smart. I taught him to sit and spin and he learned it in 1 day.

Ok so what should I do? I've had a dog (8month Poodle; it was offered to me as a Schnauzer 🙄) and ive been taking care of her for the last 5 months. Shes smart and has learned all the basic commands and and now we're working on the more advanced ones like smell and search etc. The thing is this dog purposefully is peeing and pooping inside the house and shes gotten scolded and enough time outs to figure out its not ok.I've had dogs all my life and have never had an issue training them to pee and poop but she's just a special case. The most curious thing happened yesterday, she refused to come close to me as I asked her to come check out her indoor incident before taking her to time out. She walked away and that bothered me a bit honestly. I shrugged it off, cleaned the accident and left her in the yard. Its 1am and shes pooped and peed in the house while I was sleeping (AGAIN). Sorta tired of trying to train her in something her brain obviously cant process, so shes been promoted to be an outside dog until further notice. If you got any idea on how to get her to do her toilet needs outside as soon as possible for her to be an indoor dog again, she would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

Likewise never made the association with rugs. My cute pug puppy, loves to discreetly do a wee under the dining table, when we aren't looking (luckily we don't have to many visitors over)

I got ahead with my dog's training after reading " Forward Fast Dog Training ". Found out how to stop my dog from jumping on people. Learned that you quick turn your back on the dog when they jump and leave the room through the door. When dog finally stops jumping you give him a treat.

Very interesting and informative video ! So far, we did not pay much attention to our dog's toilet behavior. He normally becomes restless before going for toilet. He like to go toilet in the open area but it is not consistent. We do not mind if he does it in the house. We will start to reward for his good toilet behavior onward. Looking forward for more useful videos !

I’m also struggling my puppy is asleep rn..try to take the dog outside as soon as possible literally when you wake up to when breakfast,play time,naps take them out they will have the urge to go and be boring to your dog don’t play with her be boring as possible

I just trained my puppy to toilet when he sees a newspaper then i used to keep a piece of newspaper in his bathroom and after some days he learned to toilet and poop in his own bathroom...now I dont have to keep a newspaper also he just knows where to toilet....and the best part is that though he is a street dog he is very intelligent.....So, u can try my way it just took about 2 weeks to train him.
