@@EmpyreanLightASMR It's definitely not for everyone, but if you don't try to identify with any characters and just treat it as a spectacular train wreck unfolding before you, it's glorious. That's the way it's meant to be enjoyed. Every single main character is an absolutely horrible person, and watching them bounce off each other (plus the confused reactions of normal people they interact with) is where most of the comedy is derived from.
Every time I hear Charlie, I'm shocked that's apparently just his natural voice.

They put so much of themselves into their degraded characters that it’s almost surreal to see and hear them in real life (still on the tube or the interwebs, which still isn’t their “real life”)

Dudes like the next Jim Carrey or Robin Williams. Its really hard not to just like him as a person.
It's crazy to think he made the show and the woman who rejects him and insults him is his actual wife.
The show is top tier and is the pinnacle of what we should achieve in comedy..........unless Charlie decides to make another show 😂

No. There is some great stuff but some of the latter seasons are poor.
@@brendanhill1868 they have more than enough great seasons/episodes that blow any other sitcom out of the water by far! Name another show funnier than Its Always Sunny…if it has a laugh track your a fool and if it Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm then go play in traffic cuz you dont know what funny is

@@andy1181-l3m I'm more of a quality over quantity man. It's a great show but some of the latter seasons have been brutal, the Irish one in particular.
@Brendan Hill I can't think of a funnier sitcom. Most sitcoms suck when you watch them when you're older. This one stays golden.

I saw the vaudeville act in 1911.
You can clearly see the lack of applause when conan refers to the show at the start breaks charlie's heart and it also breaks mine. Conan even does a gesture to the crowd like 'cmon guys wtf'

I watched sunny multiple times growing up and my sense of humor was somewhat formed because of this show. Iv gone back and watched the show a few more times since i became an adult to. It’s just timeless

I only found out about this show when i was already an adult. But once I watched it for the first time, i knew it was exactly what i have always been looking for

that was the last season iirc, the one in ireland - either that or i've got some catching up to do myself. they were recently writing the new season, idk if they finished already or not.
