2 grown men telling me how to cut an apple
bekells RUclips at its finest
100k+ of viewers enjoyed that
With a $200 knife at that
2 years late to the party but I will be ordering mine this weekend for my birthday.
Just ordered on XD
4 years late I guess 😆 mine should come in the next couple days
So this is a HANS on situation huh? ... I'll go now
anotherrandomtexan25 ba dum ts
Totally getting one.
The Late Boy Scout I saw your review
I don't know if I should get one, the pocket knife to end all pocket knives
Apple seeds actually do hurt you - in extreme doses though. Apple seeds contain cyanide. A 150 lb man would have to eat the seeds of about 20 apples to die from cyanide poisoning... so there's that.
Noteful exactly what I was thinking
Fake
@@Marcosmatamoros10 googles free figure it out for yourself
Finally got mine a few days ago and I'm in love with this knife.
4 years late but I gotta say that I love it
Oh man, the last thing I need is another knife....but this! 😆 Very nice blade!
I love the information you provide and the editing is gold please keep up the great work!
I feel like this would be Ben’s ideal knife because he is always leaning towards small lightweight knives. I tend to lean towards the bigger blades my self but, this would be really good for him since he could use it for all the random things people use their knives for as well as a self defense tool. I say that because I believe that Ben has mentioned that being an aspect of a knife that he wants from previous episodes.
bet nutnfancy is stoked.
Andrew Green i was thinking the same thing
Andrew Green He hasn't traditionally been super stoked with benchmade. I think you're right though!
Andrew Green ROTFLMAO he totally will dig this
You mispronounced "M390"
Not enough jimping though...
My first Bugout was the Tan scales blade blade with gold thumb studs I have gotten to the point I am liking the Axis lock way more and there are so many aftermarket parts for the 535 Bugout.
I'm flipping this 535 in blue color and its is an amazing knife. Specialty for backpacking. I know that for some people $140 is too high, but you won't be unhappy with provided quality.
Fantastic knife at a fantastic price. I haven't purchased a Benchmade knife in quite awhile because of price, quality and plain boring. I picked this up yesterday and I'm extremely impressed. Well done Benchmade.
Tell Honz to step up the quality control😂. Great vid!
Best knife I've ever owned!!
Why does Hanz look like the
Schnitzel man from hoodwinked
How doesn't this have any likes
Would love to see the new 535 in a smoky gray, translucent handle scale and black anodized thumb stud. Great vid as always. Hugely jealous of that limited blade show run 707.
Wow this knife can cut an apple!!!
This is "Hans" down the best knife review I've seen today 😃👍
Austin is such a knife nerd I love it
got this knife a few months ago and now, I am an absolute fan of it. I have had an experience using Spyderco tenacious before that and was looking to buy paramilitary 2 with some better steel but ended up buying bugout somehow and absolutely happy about that.
bechmade ans pyderco which one is better?
@@chris813 hands-off reply - bugout.
This morning I reviewed some old Blade HQ orders and ran across the mini-Grip I purchased four years ago for $67.
Anyone else here remember those good old days?
koomo801 yeah now there 93 dollars lol
The bugout is a great knife, I find it in my pocket more than anything else. It’s slim, comfortable, my only beef: the blade came off center but the action is beautiful regardless.
I wish more demos were Hans on like this.
Great review... excellent looking knife... again... looks like the Casbah and 530 had a love child
Might be my next Benchmade....could it possibly be better than the grizzly ridge?.?.? Idk...love my grizzly ridge. So far in my opinion grizzly ridge is the best edc I’ve ever held...thanks blade hq for the great video and Benchmade for the awesome knives!
It’s funny that no one thought to save cost by making thinner blades and now it’s The Thing.
Its about time they came out with a light weight offering. Spyderco has been crushing them for years on that front-because they get it.
Just got my bugout yesterday. LOVE it so much! Now I just need some apples. 🐛 🍎
I very much like mine, but definitely believe it was poorly named. This is an awesome blade for regular EDC tasks, especially when wearing basketball shorts, which is annoying with a heavy blade. However, i would much rather take a stronger and slightly heavier folding knife when camping/hiking, like my Cold Steel Finn Wolf. Not too much heavier and can withstand more wood processing (although would still rather use a fixed blade). Nice video though guys.
Here's to hoping benchmade is getting QC squared away...
That's just not possible
Just ordered mine from Blade HQ, of course! Lol. I got the Ranger green with the grey blade and clip... even after owning two 940s...I'm super excited to get the bugout.
This video had the perfect vibe. Some dicking around yet very educational about the product. Perfection.
can you guys please do a sharpening video about how to sharpen, and what sharpeners do you guys personal use.
James Miller if you have a bench made they will sharpen it for free
Who wants to send it out and wait tho
Old video but I can tell you I bought one for my brother. He's ex SF and jerk enough to tell me if something is junk. He has carried it for 2 year's and loves this knife.
just bought one this afternoon! i am in LOOOVVE
Damit Ben! You missed out Bro. Austin great job buddy. 👍
I resisted getting this knife for almost 2 years and bought a Grizzly Ridge instead. I listened to the negative and positive and now that I have one, I find it an exceptional knife. I bought G-10 scales to replace the perceived flimsy scales. I may have wasted my money because there's nothing wrong with the stock scales.
Just picked mine up this weekend. Absolutely love it
Ordered one from you guys today 🤘🏻
Local shop is almost out of knives. First spot has the bugout the next shop has the bushcrafter. Buy them while you can.
Great knife but hard to beat the 940 in my opinion its one of benchmades best designs
I really don't see why so many people are complaining. Yes it's gonna be a bit pricey but for something made in the USA it's always gonna be more then what you want to pay. I'd rather buy this one from benchmade rather then a clone using the same blade steel and handle but for half the price made in China.
Pre-ordered! Stoked!
I love all the blue in there!
Never thought watching someone use a pocket knife to cut an apple would make me buy the knife 😂💯
It’s an awesome knife! I would have bought it from you guys, but it was on sale at my local shop for $88. I couldn’t pass up that deal!
I was hoping y'all were going to show the serrated edge one as well.
I love Benchmade knives. Just bought 2 from wish (😂), and now I'm out almost $15.⁰⁰ !! Nice clone, no where near as nice as the _real deal,_ but I can't afford to pay more than $50 for a pocket knife; I can get almost 100 rds of 5.56 for that $$. Much more important for me, personally.
Returned the Bugout because it was to light. Seemed like it was designed for a small woman or a child. Just didn’t fit my hands at all. Manufacturer also didn’t offer many option for design as well.
Hi I saw a knife that looked exactly like a Benchmade and it had the bench made actual logo I saw this knife on teemu it had the yellow scales I was wondering if those Benchmade looking 5:35 bug out knives are actually really Benchmade knives cuz I can't find a maid in China anywhere in the paperwork or on the knife it's exactly the same but for less Price
I get mine today!
A Great slice Every time. OMG.
I suggest all knife company should make the handle blade space tapered customized to the blade to add more stability in closed blade centering, handle durability and aesthetic geometry.
If I understand you right that is a great idea
Need this in a basic black handle!!! (Don't do funky colors)
Just bought one. Love it.
Nice folder! :)
Just got the ranger green bugout and I'm very impressed.
Hey Man U still using ur bugout and if so have u had any issues with the knife at all
@@danielvargo8369 it's not my main everyday carry knife. I now have a Hinderer that takes that roll. But the bugout does get used when I need a lighter carry option. Like when going fishing or going swimming and I want a knife on me. I haven't used it super hard, but it has been used for feathersticking and cutting all kinds of food. Knife is still wicked sharp and very sturdy. I would say it's been amazing for the size and weight.
Oh wow, a modern knife that can cut an apple! It just shows how much we have abandoned practical blade geometry in favor of aesthetics when an attribute of a knife is that it can slice an apple without breaking it.
Cut to years later and it’s now Blade HQ’s best selling knife and a favorite edc among millions 😂
@@davidg4419 He has a point though. Nowadays every pocket knife is super thick to look "tactical." When a thin blade is released everyone thinks its a new concept.
I like your blade obstacle course. Are you guys going to try any new blades on it? I don't mind the banter videos but would love to see some more of these blades in use too. Maybe you could even add a segment where you test the blades your discussing that day. Food for thought. Keep up the good work 😎
They showed us the knife and then cut an apple with it. Nice looking knife. I'm sure it is quality. No doubt . Much more could have been done to demonstrate its capabilities.
Finally got my first bugout today. In Ben blue. Got it from you guys. I love it. Thank you.
I was saving for my bugout for some time and I thought its gonna be my dream knife and finally bought for £140 I'm in UK. And after 1week of using both omega springs broke... I was so disappointed.bought guitar string and make new ones but that left bad taste in my mouth because knife is quite expensive. Also I noticed blade being little bit loose. I think it's great knife but not for that price. Many ppl complaining about omega springs in benchmade knives. Pls consider this before buying.
andy pandy send it to benchmade. They have a great warranty
I like the small pocket clip
Not a word of a lie...I just cut my ambrosia apple with my bugout. Creeeeeppyyyyy
my favorite knife
I need it... I want it... I GOTTA HAVE IT!!
I might get this soon to cycle with my SOG flash II as edc
Love the knife those carbon fiber scales and blue hardware they have out for them is amazing if you dont like the flex of the blue ones the carbon fiber doesnt flex or move 80 bucks i believe is the price forget the guys name or website
I got one on the way can't wait
Nice vid, awesome knife!
It's very light. The scales make it feel cheap. This knife is a sleeper.
I will order Carbon fiber black scales and make it my own. Super nice compared to my 943 Black Benchmade.
Although my 943 Black is my favorite of the two.
1:44 - It's called a "mini deep carry MAGAZINE". clip?! pft. rookie.
I once bought a top-end Benchmade 760Ti Lum and I was very disappointed. The blade was loose and not centered, felt flimsy for such a high end frame lock. Needless to say, I'm reluctant to try any low end Benchmade now.
i love s30v!
Hans is the man, He talked me into my Phaeton and introduced me to Shane Sibert at there new shop experience event earlier this month!
My next knife will be a benchmade! Just can’t decide between a bugout or a fixed blade
If you don’t mind the money the assisted axis Benchmade knives can be locked into a fixed blade position while also being able to fit in the pocket. I personally love my Benchmade Boost. Just ordered my bugout today also.
I just ordered a 940-2, but I might like that knife better?
The Tod no way.
Lucas Byrnes for the price difference it might be the better choice, but who knows its still new
Love the knife, not certain I like it better than griptillian or rat 1 in D2. Weight of edc is not a big deal to me, I 💪 out lol.
On the website it says Bugout Family. Does that mean there will be more added? Different colors maybe? A mini Bugout perhaps?
Love the blue
I don't know, maybe this could take over for my Lone Wolf (Benchmade) Landslide. The Landslide as been a solid user and it was a steal at $55 on closeout, shame Benchmade killed them. At this wait and with these materials it would be great for clipping in swim trunks and jogging shorts and such.
That Blue has got me eyeballing my blue Delica 4.... it may need a friend
Wow, back from when the Bugout was brand new.-
i feel like a bromance was started this day
Interesting knife!:-)
Looks like a nice slim knife for edc too.
Small blade, blue handle; Ben is away grabbing his Benchmade 535.
Ordered 2!
Blade hq do a video on titanium lock wear. Let's see if they can hold up.
Def getting one
The intro guitar sounds like the guitar from AC/DC Dirty Deeds
Anyone know if that new mini deep carry clip shares the same holes as the full size clip? I.e. Are they interchangeable?
I wonder how many people are going to buy this knife just to cut an apple.
want this so bad.
Does anyone know of a good way to tell if a Bugout is a counterfeit? I got one off a friend really cheap and he said he didn't pay anywhere near retail for it new from a brick and mortar cutlery store. It has all the correct billboarding, weight, colors and action. Benchmades, imho, are one of the brands that really have most people fooled. They're a great example of "paying for the brand name." I'm not saying they aren't good blades, especially the black box stuff, but most of their prices are ridonkulous. $200 for the Altitude? Come on B'made, seriously?
Ordered mine like 3 weeks and still hasn't shipped yet. About ready to cancel my order.
Are u guys going to do another one of Austins knife collection
Just ordered one 👍✅
Sweet blade.
Very cool blade
