I don't know how in Slovakia, but here in Czechia, return tickets were still standard like 5-10 years ago, but then private companies started occupined rails with their flexible price that is constantly changing and the biggest state owned company canceled return tickets for no reason. It´s the first free royal city in Slovakia, also known as Slovak Rome, or Little Rome, because of number of churches in centre of town. Trnava was the center of the Hungarian Church. And the historic walls you stood by belong to the oldest wall systems in Slovakia. After their construction in the 13th century, they defined an area of approximately 56 hectares, which made Trnava one of the largest cities in Europe. Trnava is one of the cities with the best economic results in the country, with a very low unemployment rate, and is a model for the whole of Slovakia in the renovation and construction of public spaces, for which Trnava was awarded with the national architecture prize.

Man, I would love to see you next year to come at Bardejov Fanfairs ( or as we slovaks call it, "Bardejovské Trhy"). I believe you would enjoy it too. And when it comes to sports, hokey is simply far more dominant over here. If I can I would recomend trying to go at HC Košice - HC Slovan Bratislava hokey game. Its biggest derby in the country. But yeah, thats pretty much why not many people watch futball. We have a lot better hokey stadiums, players, fan bases,... than our futball stadiums, players and etc.

The emblem of Trnava has a wheel from a wagon. according to historian Richard Bulliet, a professor emeritus at Columbia University. It's possible that the wheel was invented by copper miners in the Carpathian Mountains up to 6,000 years ago, according to a modeling study that uses techniques from structural mechanics. and Trnava is located where?

But yeah, thats pretty much why not many people watch futball. We have a lot better hokey stadiums, players, fan bases,... than our futball stadiums, players and etc.
You're absolutely right, nothing against scottish football but this is the content i wanna see!
ONLY 200 k subs? This lad deserve more
I am from Hlohovec ( 15miles from Trnava ) and living in UK , Peterborough since 2013 , glad to see u enjoyed the game and country.❤
Glad you've enjoyed our country. Greetings from Slovakia! 😊
Really cool video 😂 like it very much. I hope you enjoyed
it's the second largest stadium in the Slovak top league, looks like they hold a lot of international matches there.
Keep up the good work mate 👍
Thanks, I will try!
In Germany, we pay between 40 and 100 Euros for a train ticket from Stuttgart to Hamburg, which is almost the same distance as Glasgow-London. And we are complaining about our prizes...:-)
TBF if you book ahead you can get a round-trip ticket Glasgow-London for £75, or about £47 with a railcard. He's using the most expensive walk-up fares - and he's going to Brighton, which adds a bit more.
lol love that he went all that way and then bounced midway through the second half to get up the road 🤣
Great city Slovokia.
Great to see you exploring another country and its football culture.
Love these wee trips, I do them too when I can. I think in many places in Europe you can only purchase one way tickets .
Thanks for remembering our country 🇸🇰❤
Great video just back from last weekend in Krakow and as the girlfriend explored the Christmas Market went to Cracovia on the Friday Night and Wisla on the Saturday.
Both about £10 admission and that was is in the posher seats .
I'm from Slovakia thanks for visiting!
I mean a bit sad you didn't visit Košice (I'm from there) but it's alr. I mean it's the second biggest city so it's okay, I loved the video tho
The woman at the train station ticket office said "well, now you have to pay this, you didn't say [that you wanted a return]."
She could have canceled the ticket, but IIRC there is no longer a discount on return tickets anyway...
Paid £40 return for flights to Sarajevo last international weekend. Watched a Bosnian second tier game. Great weekend!
Due to the a big number of churches, Trnava is also referred as slovak Rome))))
Just found your channel - terrific frugal travel vid! Cheers
Great video, come back one more time when Slovan Bratislava and Spartak Trnava will play against each othen❤
Spartak reached the semi final of the European Cup in 1969, losing 3-2 on aggregate to Ajax.
i live in slovakia, near bratislava. i just got home from a morning walk around the old town part of bratislava. kinda blows my mind that a week ago this guy was right where i was today
This needs to be a series where you try to watch football in every country in Europe for less than a train ticket to Brighton!
It's not much, but nice that you liked it. Such an openminded approach, there are not too many of these. Stay awesome.
I used to play for Skalica in youth teams and now living in Trnava, if you’ll be here once again, just let me know mate😉
on the train station when you were buying the ticket i was on the exact window with the exact lady and on the same christmas market😂 slovakia is a small country
Thanks for visit the club with best atmosphere
trnave is also called littli roma
haha i have seen you on the train station there :D i remember that :D and i feel bad for being in the video haha
The emblem of Trnava has a wheel from a wagon. according to historian Richard Bulliet, a professor emeritus at Columbia University. It's possible that the wheel was invented by copper miners in the Carpathian Mountains up to 6,000 years ago, according to a modeling study that uses techniques from structural mechanics. and Trnava is located where?
west slovakia near nitra town which are oldest cities in slovakia
Wow this an insane video 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!!
@@FootyAdventuresyour welcome
These style of videos rock!
you were lucky to experience sunny days here 🙂 some scenes are so amusing 😅 I had a better chance when the stadium in Trnava was more filled with people, but actually regional stadiums are more enjoyable...have you already been to Italy?
Saw Spartak Trnava at McDiarmid Park back in 2014.
Mate go to Ostrava. You want to see Banik ostrava v Sparta Prague
Hey man, you need to come to Košice as well - eastern Slovakia hits differently :) And we have a decent new stadium here to boot.
only in slovakia in seasonal markets you get 0.30€ sausage for 8€ .... that is one of the wonders of slovakia :D :D
krasne video broo
9:12 she said you have to pay already since you didnt tell her you want a return ticket as well before. Workers there have a really bad paycheck so they tend o be on the bitter side so they have comments like this all the time
