The one thing I hear consistently about sailing on the Meraviglia is the rude passengers. I will definitely have my wonderful Jersey personality ready for them when I sail on it this summer. Hopefully, I will not run into any of the rudeness.

Hey Fam! Thanks for you guy's honest opinion. Everyone opinion about the food seems to be the same. However, everyone's experience with the brand seems to be different. We plan on sailing MSC for ourselves as well. Thanks for the videos. We enjoyed watching.

Awww man! Missing Ocean Cay sounds disappointing and chaotic based on that description of all that was going on in Miami. Happy you enjoyed the food in Nassau and Miami, and happy you enjoyed the entertainment onboard. Missing Ocean Cay was a huge disappointment, but that gives us a reason to re-book. We had our issues onboard, but we are willing to give them another try. Thanks so much for tuning in, fam! 🥰

I’m going on the same ship in June can’t wait first time on Msc, I’ve been on ncl, carnival, Disney in the past and loved them first time going without big family just me and my brother, his first cruise so hopfuly he likes it lol, and for the price can’t beat it
We have yet to sail with NCL, but we've enjoyed the others. Hope you guys have a great experience with MSC.
Greetings from Brooklyn, I just came back from a cruise on the MSC maravillia in Brooklyn and for my experience this was one of the best cruises that I have taken and I have been on Royal Caribbean Celebrity and Carnival, well we did go to Boston Main and Canada and like I said before this is my own experience as well my girlfriends, and I agree with both of you the only complaint I also had was the rudeness of a lot of passengers and I don’t know if this is a New York thing or just a culture thing!

About to go on this ship on the 28th I told my wife we needed to do all this ahead of time so im glad I pushed for all physical paperwork right on time. Il report back here if it was okay or not. Wife and I barely get vacation time so as long as it wasn't down right terrible we're happy 😊

Yup, Yup. I see a pattern. I had a similar experience on the December 2023 cruise. Couldn't go to Ocean Cay, and wound up in Miami during a major rainstorm. Everyone had to disembark. No announcements or announcements made without the aid of a loud speaker. Completely disorganized.
We thought the Miami substitute/disorganization only happened during our sailing. Thanks for sharing!
I've taken 8 MSC cruises and you're right about the buffet and main dinning. Though I enjoy it purely to relax, I don't recommend MSC to others.

Fam 😳😳😳. Spending what should have been Ocean Cay day in Miami is wild 😮. The restaurant looked like the best meal of the whole cruise 😂😂. Definitely agree on the rudeness of other passengers. Great review!

I am so sorry things went slow in the beginning. It's terrible that the food wasn't great and passengers were undesirable. I wish you could have made it to Ocean Key, its such a bummer that you missed the one spot you took the cruise for. This happened with us on Howard's first cruise. We missed Grand Cayman. There was a lady that took the cruise we were on 3 times, and again we didn'tgo to that island. Yes, safety over anything. I hope you get the option again soon. Sounds like it's time to book again 😄. I was just on this MSC cruise. It wasn’t bad. Food was 50-50. They need more food options. I also didn’t agree with them taking the chair outside the desk away every night

I’ve been on the Meraviglia and Seaside and have not tried the main dining - we did specialty dining package and had no complaints
If/when we sail with them again, we'll definitely have the specialty dining package.

MSC meraviglia was horrible. Some staff was rude to us. They changed our dinner time without notification and on top of that I got food poisoning. I lost three days before of the food poisoning. I have the drinks package and when we sat for dining, I never got my drinks. smh.

Hi, I had the same experience in December, Ocean Cay canceled and rerouted to Miami. Because we were back on US soil, everyone had to disembark the ship for customs clearance. I do feel that they should shut down the bars and buffet at a specific time to get guest to disembark. Was not on the ship, but they continued to try and locate missing passengers via loud speakers, passengers were hiding in their rooms and 2 passengers had to be removed by security to get to the zero on-board passenger count. Just as I was calling an Uber for a Walmart run, they started to reboard all of the guest. If this happens to you go anywhere, sitting or standing for 4 hours 🤐.
Food was ok, if I did not like main dining room, I went to Buffet. 3 more cruises scheduled including a back to back in January.
Same experience. Like you, we're going to give them another try. We haven't booked yet, but we will. Hope you enjoy your 3 cruises. 🥰

Thanks so much for this synopsis. I was on the fence, but scheduled a cruise with MSC but to cancel due to other Summer plans. After listening to this review of your experience, I think I will give it a go. I am concerned, however about the “need” to purchase a dining package as food reviews have been consistent. Doesn’t this put MSC back in the same price points as the other lines? 🤔 Something to consider.
You're welcome, fam, and you are so right. It worked in our favor since the cruise fare was free and the specialty restaurant was included, but having to pay full price plus the cost of a dining package? That is definitely something to consider.
looking to trying MSC MERAVIGLIA next July out of NY. Have only sailed on NCL, and have reached Platinum status. we want to try different cruise line

They are right about the drinks. The oj was watered down n ur only option is water at dinner if u ask for a coke it literally takes a half hour to get

Good video. I suspect that since you technically re-entered the country in Miami you didn't need to do that again in NYC

So how long did you guys get to stay in Miami? How long were you in the terminal before you were able to leave, and experience the city?
We were in Miami until 9 or 10 pm. We could've left the terminal, but we'd just left Miami right before we flew to NY.
Apart from the white night what are the other parties also how many dress your best nights are there we are going in October thanks
There was a Tropical Night, an Italian Night, and a Music Night, but most passengers only dressed for the White and Tropical Nights. There were also 2 formal nights and several deck parties. Hope you enjoy your upcoming cruise!

Did you purchase the drink package? I’ve heard people have had issues with that also. We are considering booking beginning of December are on the fence about it. Price looks too good to be true even WiFi is included
No, we didn't purchase the drink package, but their prices are usually decent. Let us know your experience should you decide to give them a try.
They always have juices on msc. Carnival only has water, no sugar iced tea and no sugar lemonade. There drink packages and wifi are so cheap when you book.
Wish juice was available throughout our cruise.
Me again, a diamond member. I don't enjoy sailing out of NYC. Unfortunately, that New York attitude comes with it. As a fellow New Yorker, I dished it right back.
It was truly a different experience.
I am fresh off Meraviglia, not more than 3 hours ago. I did a 7 day Bermuda out of Brooklyn terminal. Boarding was smooth, surprisingly, ship was beautiful. Activity-wise, you can easily get bored if you dont have money. Meraviglia is an upscale living ship, you need money for everything, nothing is free except the buffet. I was Gold member, you were diamond so you had a few more perks than we did. Food????? Good luck.... Specialty dining only, thats where your quality meals are, again, you're paying for it. Buffet????? Kill yaself... No exaggerating, you'll be miserable the whole trip if you're counting on buffet to sustain you. I PROMISE!!!. Not many activities onboard if you don't register for a show to kill ya time between ports. All you really have is one of the multiple bars, the casino, a lounge to sit around in or your cabin( with only 2 watchable channels) CNN and DiscoveryHD. Again, beautiful ship, absolutely, you'll learn the entire layout in a day looking for something to occupy your time along the way.

OMG! THANK U SOOOOOOO MUCH 4 this info 👏👏👏 I hope don’t have a lot of coins, and love to spend wisely! My hard earn money needs to b well spent, and food is the number one a MUST ON MY LIST! Lots of food, which is why I go to all inclusive resorts..LASTLY. Hear me ppl when I say u are getting ROBBED. Bc back in the days cruise company gave u so much! So I’m going to continue to fly out and land….

@YourFavoriteCouple we got the seashore 14 days. Balcony, free drinkS ( mid tier package), wifi & 400 dollars of OBC. For 1,300 per person next month. Can't beat that even with meh food.

My husband and I were on the same ship and we feel the same way… food in the main dinning room really bad, the buffet very crowded, so many Asian rude people…. taking teabags/whole fruits/pastries and staffing their bags!!! Unbelievable!!!

Why didn't you just fly to Orlando msc seashore or Miami msc seascape. Why would you fly to NY this time of the year.
It was a free cruise and a free flight.
So I guess you didn’t get a drink package? It seems like you were just trying to find the negatives in the whole cruise. I LOVE MSC, it seems like maybe MSC isn’t the cruise line for you as it doesn’t cater to what Americans are used to on other American cruise lines. The food has a European feel, and MSC caters to all the different cultures. The weather can’t be controlled by MSC, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t. To be fair Ocean Cay isn’t all that exciting, I heard they are making some major renovations finally.
Umm, no. We're simply stating the facts from OUR experience. Although it may differ from yours, it is our truth. Since we consume, at most, 2 alcoholic beverages per cruise, purchasing the drink package would've been a waste. However, if the cruiseline promises complimentary tea, water, etc., then those products should have been available. Glad your MSC experiences have been enjoyable, and thank you for watching.

Terrible food (unless you do specialty dining), poor customer service, and that terrible port experience... this video has re-affirmed that MSC is not for me. My vacation is too precious to risk it with MSC

Hey guys. Late but here. My old school behind always prints everything out cuz these darn phones don’t always open up. Their muster was a disaster. Our cabin deck 15 and muster station deck 6 by stairs. And the whole ship traveling by stairs at the same time 🤷🏻♀️🤦♀️. Service for us on the Seascape was good except many bartenders that catered to premium drink package and yacht club passengers. Buffet was ok. Could always find something. Lucked out in our MDR. Seasoned and tasty and hot. We were in the Aurea experience designated dining room. The drink system in the buffet sucked. Pressing the button on the table for the attendant that took forever to come 🤷🏻♀️. Themed party’s re: white night/Caribbean night etc were fun. Oh the wings do look tasty 😋. Oh the band looks great. Crisp. Ocean Cay and Miami not a trade. Wait. In Miami sitting for hours ? Omg. I don’t understand why you had to get off? Oh you went to dinner. So everyone could’ve strolled in Miami not just sit in the terminal? That I liked that the luggage tags and info were placed in our room. Our thoughts are similar. Leaving from NY and Cape Liberty the ships more rocky. Absolutely the rude passengers of foreign demographics were out of control. And a good portion of selective bartenders was disheartening. Agreed. Generalized ppl thing rudeness. We too would try again. In fact want to try this ship out of Brooklyn to see how the bartenders and passengers are. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend 🤗
Hey, hey, hey! Yes, the muster drill was a disaster. Glad your MDR experience was better than ours, and the buffet drink system definitely needs improvement. Since Miami was not a scheduled port, everyone had to get off and go through customs. We could've left the terminal, but we'd just left Miami right before we flew to NY and were hoping to explore areas of the ship in which we hadn't had an opportunity.
