- Join us as we board the MSC Meraviglia for our FIRST MSC cruise. This beautiful MSC ship features a two deck promenade, an LED dome, and the famous Swarovski crystal staircases. We boarded from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in NYC December 2023 for a 7 night Bahamian cruise. Although we've heard horror stories regarding this cruiseline, we wanted to try it for ourselves. Was it really that bad? Keep watching to find out.

One of y’all said security was yelling at herself and I just know that had to be Ke 🤣🤣. The ship looks really pretty. So many steps to accomplish basic tasks on day 1 though, I really want them to change that. Great video!!

Thank y'all for being in the premiere. Yes, give MSC a try. Our only issues were the boarding day process, the food, and the ship's temperature. It was always cold! The guests were extremely rude, but that's not MSC's fault.

Hey guys. Was out. Team replay. Living in NY we have only embarked in Manhattan. Would like to try the Meriviglia. Wow. So many ppl. Ppl must’ve come before their boarding time. It was not like this out of Miami 😮. Lots of rude passengers on the Seascape and let me say they were not American. Do not like their safety drill. The whole ship sent to their cabin to look at the video and the entire ship to report to their muster station by stairs. It was chaos. Cool with the status match. Sorry about dinner. We lucked out. Food hot and seasoned. Thanks for sharing your 1st day 🤗

Fam, the people were out of control at the buffet. We'd never seen anything like that. The muster drill process was a bit much. Love MSC'S status match system, and the airline snacks were right on time, lol. Thanks so much for tuning in! 🥰

Orlando/port Canaveral has been like this every time I leave from there as well . As long as it constantly keeps moving it’s not bad but if you jammed up like you guys did I imagine it’s real frustrating

from what I understand the longer lines come from folks not coming at their assigned time. At least that's what I hear from other folks I know that have cruised with them. I'm going for the first time in September.

Hey family! Lawd that embarkation was rough and homegirl had an attitude, but with a disorganized system like that I’m sure it’s tough working there. Yea the food didn’t look that appealing and that apple crumble looked just like sand ⏳🤢This ship is definitely different. The outfits in the show were nice 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏿♂️We can’t wait to see how the rest goes.

How early do you suggest arriving before the embarkation time?
Unlike other cruiselines, MSC did not check our listed boarding time. Not sure if this is their normal process, but just in case it isn't, we recommend arriving about an hour before your assigned time.

You're welcome. Yes, there was an opportunity to eat 3 meals a day, especially at the buffet.
Soooo.....where are the videos of the ports/destinations?
There were 2 international ports: Nassau and Ocean Cay. Nassau was vlogged on a previous cruise 2 weeks prior to this one. Ocean Cay was canceled, so there's no vlog.

I wanted to book to Bermuda this October..but it seems MSC is not the one... The lines...my Father is elderly and could not do it...and FOOD not good..deal breaker...you get what you pay for..Going to Norwegian ...
Not sure if it's like this for all of their ships/ports or if it was just this particular sailing. We haven't tried Norwegian, but it's on our list. 🥰

Yes. It worked well, but MSC doesn't allow you to switch devices.
Your diamond and didn’t use priority line?
We inquired about priority boarding for diamond members pre-cruise and were told via phone and email to stick with our assigned boarding time.
@@YourFavoriteCouple we sailed out of Miami a couple of times and they had separate check in. Of course you had to read the signs too, once out of Brooklyn but we used yacht club. Huge difference
We were told that the priority line was only for yacht club and suites. Hopefully, should we sail MSC again, we'll get to experience priority boarding. Thanks for your input.
How much did you guys pay for this cruise?
It was a comped TA cruise, so we only had to pay taxes, port fees, and gratuities (around $500).
i booked thtis ship jun 09,24 my question is only I have my certificate of birth and REAL ID OR DRIVER LICENCES, I need passport for the trip,
If you're leaving and returning to the same US port, you can use your US birth certificate and ID. If not, then a passport is required.
Hello , I am a check in agent there . A passport is recommended , a birth certificate with official seal and driver’s license is acceptable
Please make sure it’s current and not expired . My personal suggestion is if you arrive after 12 pm the lines are generally shorter and you’ll most likely go straight on board !

Never get a boarding time before 1230 or even one, on any cruise
Out of all of the cruises that we've taken (except those with Virgin), we've always boarded before noon with little to no problems.
Too much noise for me.

Yes, they will status match with Royal, but the benefits may vary.

You're welcome. The cabin hallways needed updating, but overall, the ship was nice. The specialty dining restaurants were good, but the other food was disappointing. It's still worth a try.
