As a retired teacher, let me say that this is not a new experience for him. He was one of those students who refused to exercise self control. This should have been addressed in first grade.

This judge’s patience is just beyond incredible.
Which was actually very bad for Darrell Brooks. Because he managed to not beat her into doing anything wrong, and because she went beyond out of her way to accommodate his nonsense, he will have basically no grounds for appeal.

I hated to be a student in classes with several disruptive classmates. Made the whole process of learning difficult because the teacher was constantly reprimanding them.

I don't have a lot of respect for the judicial/federal systems, but in this particular case, getting this man off the streets was 100% the best thing they could have done. And he had just recently gotten out of jail for hitting someone a few weeks earlier with the same freaking car! So this wasn’t just a tantrum that he’s never had before, he’s done this behavior over and over and over. Absolutely evil human being.

The only reason is because he’s representing himself pro se and attempting to get it declared a mistrial. So she can’t just kick him out or silence him because that would be considered kicking out his attorney.

This is an easy case study in a law book of how not to be as a lawyer. Every mistake you can make as an idiotic lawyer is made. I think he's doing it on purpose because even an average joe would know better than argue over nothing, screaming in court, and objection every 5 seconds.
One thing is for sure, they will have to rewrite court procedures in case this kind of behaviour turns in a new normal.

As annoying as this guy is the judge is not patient with him because she’s nice. The judge wants to avoid a mistrial or a delay on the trial over technicality. Also, the judge is doing a great job helping him understand some aspects of the law even though she doesn’t have to. But she also does that to avoid a mistrial. Her patience really comes from the fact that this guy will be found guilty. Great job judge keep it up.

This case is a VIP for the interests of the public to understand the rules of evidence in criminal cases differ from that in civil cases where the judge has more Authority over what evidence is allowed and why there are far more objections in criminal cases as each side works to get their 'extraneous' evidence presented that will prejudice the Jury ... most civil cases are adjudicated by Judges v Juries as a jury trial is expensive for the plaintiff who has the burden of proof. Corporations will pay big buck law firms to defend the enTITy in civil lawsuits where we see these huge monetary judgements$ Corporations$ have to pay and most settle out of court to protect their reputation in the MARKet place ....
She’s the most polite judge I’ve ever seen.
Super valuable for people to see narcissistic tendencies, in action, with the intensity and consistency that Brooks displays. The pattern of behavior is just so obvious, and in your face. Typically, narcs are more covert and tactful in their manipulation techniques.

The way the judge explained to him on the record that he chose to.represent himself and shows that he is fully aware of he's doing is magistral. He will never get it overturned for lack of competence
This is why I left teaching. Every class had 2 or 3 kids just like him. Calling home did nothing and admin would punish the teacher if you sent them to the office "too much", but you were not allowed to discipline them in the classroom (not that it would have worked anyway). I just didn't have what it takes so I changed professions. Watching him gives me flashbacks.

His constant “substain”, “truff”, “oaf”, “lawful Law”, “grounds” and “objections” was the “childish stuff’ that went on throughout that entire trial. The judge did everything except cancelling the trial to make this very fair for a CLOWN that doesn’t respect women or any type of authority figure. He attempted to turn the trial into his own circus and was not able to. He only showed the world that HE was the problem.

How this judge kept her calm & composer is beyond me. Total respect cos he's playing mind games. This man cannot help himself. He's just making himself look even more of an epic tit. He's nist showing the entire world why he should never be released from prison

Talk about disrespect….he knows he’s lost this trial…a female judge is perfect to rile his well being. He has no witnesses, so Brooks creates this chaos.
She is so strong. Her composure is awesome. He is exhausting.

Judge Darrow deserves so much respect for dealing with this case so respectfully and professionally. I’d have lost it within the first day.

It's funny, you watch Ted Bundy (Sick evil person) defend himself and it was mostly professional. Stark contrast to this guy. I'm shocked they've allowed this joke to go on as far as it has....lol
it really wasn’t that professional. ted bundy was all bluster and wasn’t actually knowledgeable enough about the law to represent himself. the courts gave him allll kinds of leeway.

Holding Brooks in contempt would've _only_ prolonged the whole ordeal and have the victim's families wait even longer for a resolution.
As well, of course, cost the taxpayer more money.
There's literally not _one single good thing_ that would've come out of holding him in contempt.
His malfunction is that he always says what is fair to state or say. But what about, what it is fair TO DO? IT ain't fair to run away from the cops, after beating a young lady just to run over 76 people, and cripple and kill people. Im so glad this punk will never see his kids or freedom ever again.
Even when it's explained to him ,he can't grasp that he and he alone is responsible for his own conduct. Don't worry folks....soon he'll hear those prison doors close behind him for the last time and the stain that he is will be forgotten.
