Very useful video for pupils in this quiet time. I'd noticed in comments someone pointing out their driving instructor didn't go through this. There is only so much your instructor can teach you (remember your paying by the hour, and it's best spent actually driving), so going on RUclips and watching excellent videos like this, is the thing to do, don't wait 6 months after your test, then realise you don't know.
It's normally a wrestle with time when you're teaching someone yo drive. There is an awful lot more I can teach, but hours of lesson time are expensive for most people.

I’ve watched many videos on changing a wheel as I’m apprehensive of doing it, but you’ve explained it better than any I’ve seen and with very good tips like duct tape over the wrench and the locking wheel nut first off but last on, which I didn’t know. I now have the confidence to change a wheel. Thank you for uploading this video.
A very worthwhile video for those who have a spare wheel. It is always worth checking if it is an option as many cars only come with the repair kit. On a cautionary note DO NOT attempt to change a wheel at the side of a road and especially not on a motorway hard shoulder. Call a rescue service.

I don't like the crappy wheel wrench & jack that was supplied with my car. So I bought a small trolley jack & extending wheel wrench instead. The extra leverage is essential if the wheel nuts have been over torqued.
It can help but that's a lot to carry in your boot. Perhaps torque your nuts yourself so you don't get caught out if you get a flat and have to fit the spare at the side of the road.
for anyone worried about the wheel coming off, remember there are several bolts/nuts of which pull on a thread which equally is pulling against the bolt/nut of the wheel. as long as the wheel is placed on straight and all the bolts/nuts are tightened generously, you have nothing to worry about
If there's one thing I learned from this video, it's that I'm keeping my AAA membership! LOL! Don't know what the UK equivalent is, but AAA is the big roadside assistance/car club here in the US. All I know is that in Germany, the equivalent is ADAC. Anyway, I couldn't imagine doing this in the freezing cold on the side of the freeway, with cars rushing by at 70 mph just feet away from you. Every now and then, I'll hear in the local news about someone getting killed changing their tire on the side of the freeway. I think that changing a flat tire on your own should be done as an absolute last resort, and only if you're in a low traffic, rural road where you can't get a good cell phone signal.

You don't know the history of a part worn tyre so it's a risk. However, I prefer to have both tyres on the same axle equally worn or it pulls to one side.
What do you call that tool that you used to easily turn the jack lift? I had a hard time last time as I don’t have the same as yours. Yours looked easy you just spun it. Did you buy it in amazon?

Not really. You'd have to break into the car to get it. Nearly all modern cars will have alarms/deadlocking. And the thief would have to spend time searching for the lock nut whilst the alarm is blaring
Nothing much has a very good point. Also, it's very hard to access the boot without a key, even if you broke the window the parcel shelf is still in the way.
Yes I do, when I replace the front I then switch rear and front so the new rubber is always at the back and the old rubber is being used before it expires.
I have a full size wheel for my spare but my mechanic said there are markings on them that show they are the spare. Is this true or is he talking crap.
mines like your first car.. no spare. just compressor n a tub of tyre weld type stuff to screw onto the compressor. the stuff goes out of date. good vid tho
It does go out of date. I have some in my VX220 and I recently noticed it was a couple of years out of date. I'll replace it with a fire extinguisher given how modified the engine is it's probably a better thing to have. I'd only put that stuff in my wheels if I really had to.

Hurting your knuckles is easily done with these tools. I've learnt to do it a bit more slowly to save the pain.

Mine came without the spare secondhand but it does have a space for one so I might buy one at some point.

Good effort, most videos do not give a clue as to the force you require when tightening the nuts back up when you don't have a torque wrench.

In the UK it's AA. We don't say double A like you say triple A. We literally say A A

You can swap the front and rear wheels if they're the same size.
Will the jack points under the car be the same for the rear wheels aswell?
If differs from car to car, make sure you check what's true for your car. A Google search can normally help.
Hi, i'm having an issue where my wheel wrench rubs against the inside of the holes where the lug bolts go. it ruins the paint. how do i avoid this?
You'll need a new tool. I use sockets with a nylon surround to protect the wheel along with a breaker bar. They're special for wheels.

Sounds like nonsense
If it's full size you can use it like a normal wheel. But it may be different cosmetically.

Can,t you just lift the handbrake up
The handbrake only stops the rear wheels. So if you lift the rear there is nothing to hold the front wheels
