This time I decided to freshen up my sound and make something that sounds less electronic and more natural and vintage with some 70s disco/funk vibes.
FYI: I am still working on Marina remixes, they are coming just as soon as I finish my finals at uni (I need to finish my Master's dissertation and it completely destroys my music schedule at the moment, but hopefully this ends in a month or so)

The cover art is the real cover of a single from Spagna, an Italian singer who rose to fame in 1986 with her italo-disco mega hits Easy Lady and Call me.

In the previous 2 years she achieved success all around Europe with the smash hits Easy Lady (1986) and Call me (1987) -not Blondie's Call me-.

Due to the 2nd Oil Crisis in 1979, this song couldn’t be a road hit. But it became a perfect Saturday night fever song in discos... Absolute dancing hit.
She was and will always be Madonna’s Inspiration.
You have to have more 80s/70s interpretations of modern pop. This niche needs to be filled. Keep up the work bro, seriously.

I remember when this was charting and in the early 80s Donna Summer mentioned in an interview, she wished she had not turned it down when it had come to her to record.

She wrote Bad Romance to ABBA, but they turned it down because it doesn't really matched to their album. Then Gaga wanted to give it to Donna, but she said no too.

I remember when the kids used to vogue to this song back on the West side Piers in NYC 1980. I think this was the song playing when House of Abundance walked as a house at the Autumn Legends Solstice ball in 1984 ;)

80s remix is fine...it has that cusp sound of leaving disco and heading into synth- 80s sound...all good.

Wow, this is amazing. To think that she was one of the few disco stars able to transcend the Disco era and have dance hits into the 'eighties!
Oh, gawd this takes me back... Underage in Studio 54, tearing up the dance floor coked out of my mind, hooking up with random nameless bimbos... That was the life. It seemed like it would never end. I do kinda like her daughter's cover that came out a while ago, though.

I’ve loved Italo disco for some years- discovered it on RUclips. This is a gem! I wish more of Gaga’s singles could’ve picked up traction in the States. It seems only this LP was available here. I’ve tried hunting down some other ones but it seems like most records she did have been lost- or they’re stupidly expensive. There was a 30th anniversary disc selling for over $200 on Amazon. It’s a shame I didn’t pick it up, I didn’t have the extra change to spare at the time.

Honestly, it's basically that part of the 70s disco/funk scene where the 80s started to bleed in retroactively anyway.
Or you could say they were beginning to move towards the now-familiar 80s sound, but I feel like the 80s were so... _immense_ that they overtook everything they touched and transcended time in all directions.

"80s remix" fits, as most people, me included, would propably associate an earlier sound with "70s remix", even if it would technically be correct.
It is fun when unofficial remixes rival the official releases.

Amazing remix! But I'd almost believe it was an early 90s Vogue-type track. Guess a lot of early 90s tracks took inspiration from the 70s disco era.

I remember this song it was big! 3 years later there was a new younger girl from Michigan on the scene with her song Everybody. It was catchy but was followed by other songs and outlandish behavior that eclipsed GaGa’s sound. We all know she stole Gaga’s sound.
