Happy New Year!!! I just wanna say; I watched your video on the four tips to start writing, and it changed everything. I have ADHD, and consequently I’ve been thinking about the same book idea since I was 12😅. But after I watched your video, specifically the zero draft part, I was able to plan a fully fleshed plot in 2 days! It was such a relief because I’ve had constant writer’s block for ages, but now my mind is clear. I feel like I have the tools to write anything now haha😂 Your tips are game changers for me, and you’ve become my favorite writing influencer! Thank you
If Colleen Hoover can get published, if lightlark can get published if that one guy who wrote a poorly written angry hit piece dedicated to a RUclips reviewer can finish his book and self publish it YOU CAN TOO❤

Your channel is such a safe space for new authors and authors in general. I’ve looking for so many tips and guidance to start writing, and all of them were so intimidating and structured in a way that didn’t align with how my brain works and creates. Your channel was seriously the light at the end of the tunnel. Your tips are so incredibly helpful, your 4 step process to write a book served as an epiphany to me and it was exactly the guidance I needed to start writing and not be so intimidated. And the more I dive into your channel the more I realize every one of your videos is a literal treasure. Thank you so much for this wonderful channel and community.
Tip #3!!! Write for yourself 100%. I would have saved myself so much time if I used tip 6 lol. Remembering why you started and where you want to get is huge! Amazing tips Ana, great video!!
For organizing my writing, I really enjoy Notion for my planning. You can almost use it as a Wikipedia and have many "pages" to organize it all. There are also tons of other features such as tables, dividers, different list things, and so much more.
Y'ALL WAKE UP ANA POSTED. Thank you Ana for all the tutorial and tips you provide us with. They really help. Do you know that I'm writing 2 books and I'm hoping to finish them by the end of this year! Thank you for this video and happy new year Ana !
My favorite thing about being an artist and an author is being able to visualize and draw my characters and settings. I get to look at them and have that extra insight into their designs.
Instead of presuring myself to write a full lenght book (or even first draft, which I haven't done yet) this year, I am planning on experimenting with writing this year! I've already written some poetry (the last time I did I was sixteen or something, now I'm 18, and a few days ago I looked at my poetry again and really liked it so now I'm writing some again!), I wanna explore writing scenes with certain emotions (like how do I write a scene where a character is angry, or has a secret), write some short stories (last year I wrote two) and all those things. Just wanted to share this for the people who are also scared of the idea of a novel, you don't have to write a whole book to be a writer! Short stories, poetry (although that is a very different kind of writing), or just writing a scene is writing too! Good luck everyone
THE HAPPIEST NEW YEAR TO YOUU ANA...I hope this year becomes your most successful year so far...congrats on 80k subscribers and I feel myself to be the luckiest of your subscribers...Thank you so much for your content and your Instagram aesthetics...you've literally been my inspiration ( I don't have more like yeah!) happy new year ana! I'm thirteen and I've written two 'almost finished' books that I look upon now and wonder "wat the hell was I thinking?" I've written around thirty poems and they're really good. I'm about to publish them in an anthology, but I've always wanted to write a novel. I have a new story idea and after watching your video, I'm filled with hope and motivation. I promise myself over here that I will, write a book and finish it. I hope all the writers out here in the comments do too. all the best everyone. ☺
Great tips I appreciate you advice. I just started writing and your tips are so helpful. Also what I did to push myself to write was put my book out for preorder with a future date and then I was able to complete it. I may do that again because I’m dragging on my new book but just started using the writer tools like campfire which is a game changer
Hi ana :) i really enjoy watching your videos. I have recently been taking a liking towards literature, more specifically writing. I started to write a book some recent time ago but i rewrote the main idea various times. Your videos have been helping me to write it (even though English is not my first language). Hope you have a good year ❤
My goal for this year is to finish this book I'm writing (word goal: 82,500), so this is VERY helpful, tysm!! I hope that you have a wonderful year 🫶🏼 Edit: Oh my God I just saw the Spotify playlist and wonderful song choices, but are you willing to pay for my therapy once i read Ghostcide?? the songs scare me 😭 (JKJK obviously. I'm very, very excited for your book tho)
Happy kind of late new year! I haven’t watched your videos in way too long but, as a long time fan, they help me so much with writing inspiration. Thank you so, so much Ana, and I’m so happy for you for putting out Ghostcide!
I've started a book and here is my concept, a girl meets another girl and they fall in love. They are in love for about 10 months, but one girl falls out of love. Absolutely crushing the main girl. And she turns to SH/Suicide to help "cure" her depressive state. She ends up attempting Suicide and almost succeeded but her mom catches her the night before. Her mother is broken and sends her to intense therapy and mental hospitals. She ends up living in a mental hospital for almost a year and completely loses her sense of emotion. Blank forever. Then she wakes up one morning and decides to try and end it again. She again, almost succeeded but her therapist walked in and caught her. She ended up being severely injured and upon seeing her mom's broken down face, starts sobbing and her therapist teaches her how to feel emotions again. (This is somewhat based off of personal experiences.)
I'm twelve years old and I'm writing a book and this helps so much that it's almost like you are a godsend P.S this is the first video I've watched but now i am definitely subscribed
One day my mum and i where in the kitchen and she stopped what she was doing to ask me " Angel can you go to collage for cooking to get a job ?" i was paralyzed in al mix of emotions and she kept on going she said " yes you can write, yes you can do art, yes you can make music " then she said that it was all i thought which i compactly understand. Though i don't want to go to collage for cooking i want to go for art. and haven't my own art business and make a book to sell it. I've already planned for a book i want to write I've planned for some of it last year it's called " the slow artist " i am only 16 years old and i make my own poetry and my own stories i write like my life depends on it, I can't go a day without writing. I don't know what to do i don't want to say yes however i don't want to say no coming off as rude. also i love your channel i want to publish my poems and i want to publish books and let others se my art, my creativity. i already made a poem called financial Creativity which at 15 years old i was crying because i feel that creativity won't help me financially leading to the point i thought creativity was childish also hppy new yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I have this random idea that I finished a small short book idea and almost done with it I have a different idea, I've been interested in doing a romance genre (though I struggle with that I like action and adventure kind of things) I've also been interested in military so I was like,"let's combine that together" and then I thought of the song Backstabber (I forgot the artist name though it was a really good song) here's the plot idea, *Character still needs a name* is on a mission to kill the man that way he can save his country though he falls in love with a daughter of the man that he needs to kill he needs to decide (in 24 hours) if he needs to kill both of them, the father or save the country.
I'm starting a short story project and publishing it on my RUclips. I'm absolutely terrified I'm afraid that my short story just isn't good enough and detailed enough to want people to read/watch.

Hi there. So for finding a storyline, a good rule of thumb is "what is the worst possible thing that could happen to this character?". Something that would absolutely destroy them.
Make that your inciting incident. Then work from to there to have him figure out what to do next.
Next, what values does this character hold? What does he want most in this world? What lines will he NEVER cross?
Then, create characters with polar opposite ideologies and let him clash with them. That is juicy conflict.
And create situations that put him in positions to cross his boundaries, so that he makes difficult choices and is tested.
Or people or things that keep him from what he desires most.
Or, what tropes do you enjoy most in the media you consume? Heists? Duels? Treasure hunt?
If you enjoy watching/reading them, you'll probably love writing them. List them, and see if some can be used as a story.
Let your imagination ran wild with it.
Hope that helps.
Do what Jesseheymann3295 said! It's wonderful advice.
