I told my mom to read one of my chapters and give me some advice and she said 'I think you should change this, because the ocean isn't really ever flat and calm." Literally almost cried even though I knew full well she wasn't being mean. "I was so jealous." No, yeah. Girl me too. I see someone has 200 followers and so I will sit and make reels upon reels only for it to get mainly around 12 likes and 0 followers in return.I tell myself at least it's smth and not nothing, but I still PRAY that I'll eventually get some sort of hype for my books/work. As well as meeting other writers too. Also, I'm so excited for project o. That train scene lives rent free in my head and I don't even know all the details. I hope Ghostcide gets published this year too so I can read it! But of course, take your time and allow it to become the best it can be.
I’m so glad I came across this comment today bc you don’t know how much I can relate 😭😭 I can’t handle criticism and im so inept at social media, having never gotten any traction despite years of trying, idk how people can rack up thousands of likes and followers is it their personality or ideas or whattt

There is most definitely editing in paintings. Just like writing a book, corrections on made along the way to the final product. Sometimes the artists gets outside critics, sometimes they notice it themselves. Every great artist has a floor and trashcan filled with "edits." Another great video though. And posted at the perfect time in my view.

You are a very large inspiration for me, Ana. When I first started out writing, I think most of my material was rather dull, and it helped to see other people creating which I could identify with and garner motivation from. I'm excited to read Ghostcide, and given that we're the same age, it's giving me inspiration to work towards getting published (and get through university). If I ever do get published, the Ana Neu podcast is my first choice to appear on (so keep doing it until I'm ready!)
I majored in creative writing and tbh I regret it. I wish I would have stuck to psychology and become a psychologist. I don’t say that to dissuade you from chasing your dreams if you truly want to major in creative writing, but it’s been a struggle from day one for me. I hope I see my writing degree pay off soon, but my life would be so much better, I feel, if I’d pursued a different degree and made writing my hobby, rather than working for over a decade to try to make it my career as I work a draining and stressful day job.
I wish I kept track of what I wrote in 2023 and what I wrote in 2022. They blend together XD oops I might check out document creation dates? That should help. I wonder how much of project WOE I've written this year. Well. Last year. edit: I will listen to Searows
@@siennayaps @little.miss_writer i draw and i am not ruining anything by stating an objective truth of: you can literally edit a painting I would say i even find it more inspirational that way: not matter what you did, you could always change it; you could always change what’s in a canvas, painting is not done until you decide it’s done I once saw a inst reel there girl (traditional painting) wanted to draw a girl with a hat then changed it to bare head then changed her mind _again_ and added a whole hat. On, like, a watercolor painting (or maybe acrylic). Like, I didn’t know you could _do_ that, i didn’t know that was _allowed_ ; it was inspirational to me🤷

You literally can edit a painting
u can paint over it I guess. but you can’t redo what you’ve already done in the moment. (if ur confused i was referring to traditional painting!🤗)
@@ananeu yes that’s called editing. And you can erase pencil, wipe away watercolor (if done quickly), scrape away oil, etc.
