    I think a cool video idea would be to get viewer save files and make a video basically critiquing it and saying where they can improve bc its sometimes hard to look at your game vs my game and see why you have 8x my science lol

    That was a great and useful video. I see many about early game, and so few about mid to late.
    How would you define mid or late game?

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  5 месяцев назад +1

      Typically, to me, "mid-game" begins around the time you hit the feudalism civic and start spamming a ton of builders with the serfdom policy card. This usually involves chopping a lot of your woods and rainforest, putting mines everywhere, and massively spiking your science/culture. Typically, this happens between turns 45-50.
      The late-game in multiplayer games, in my eyes, starts when you start dipping your toes into modern-era technologies, usually either Chemistry (which unlocks research labs) or Combustion (which unlocks tanks). Which technology is prioritized first largely is a decision of how safe your position is and how greedy you can get away with being.

    Hey, Herson I had 2v2 game yesterday, and we managed to get 18 diplo points, mostly. However my mate contructed the temple one, while the other wonders were on me, since i got attacked. But we stayed on 18 points after completion. So my question is, must all diplo points be on 1 player of the team or was there something else we did wrong. Thanks in advance.

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  6 месяцев назад +8

      The wonders do actually have to all be built by the same player. The UI on the diplomatic victory overview makes it seem as though your team shares all of their diplo points, but in reality it's actually just displaying the diplo points of the single player with the most on your team.

    Why would you only need 50% of the length to be covered by railroads? Doesn’t that result in a net multiplier of 1 which results in 100% efficiency and not 200% efficiency?

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  6 месяцев назад +9

      The formula for calculating efficiency is (100% + Efficiency/Distance) capped at 200%. So with railroads on half the trade route's tiles, efficiency/distance will equal 1, so the equation becomes (100% + 100%), so it comes out to 200% efficiency.
      You always start with 100% efficiency on your trade routes, even with 0 efficiency points on the route.

      Thank you! I thought it was multiplicative, not additive. Brazil game when?

    I would love to see some more in depth guide about governors. Also when do u start sending international trade rodes instead of national ? Most of the time i do it when i built industrial zone (or something else for production income) or at the latest when I research diplomatic service. Is it to late ?

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  5 месяцев назад +1

      I usually start sending all of my trade routes internationally a few turns before I unlock Diplomatic Service, as I believe the Wisselbanken policy card marks the clear moment where international trade routes are just better than Magnus internals. Sometimes, if you can get coastal trades for more gold, you can start sending them internationally even sooner, as soon as you can form an alliance (at civil service) - but on land, they aren't going to be as good as internals until you get the Diplomatic Service civic.

    Great vid. Can you make a guide on aerial warfare and nukes?

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  6 месяцев назад +5

      I'd estimate more than 90% of multiplayer games are conceded before they reach the point where aerial warfare and nukes become major factors, so a guide on them is not particularly high on my list of priorities at the moment. I'm glad you liked the video, though!

      Look at his Arabia Religious Victory game, where he had to defend against Hammurabi's nukes. While there wasn't much combat going on, he showed how you can prepare to completely nullify those kinds of fights before they even begin.

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  6 месяцев назад +1

      I believe you're thinking about the Sweden game, not the Arabia game. The Sweden video is the one in which I'm under threat of nuclear strikes by Hammurabi.

    Why does it matter if you send trade routes to both of your allies? I see why you'd want to send them trade routes, but what do they get out of it?

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  4 месяца назад +1

      The yields granted on trade routes by alliances (such as +2 science from a research alliance) and the yields granted by the Wisselbanken policy card (+2 food and production) and the Democracy government (+4 food and production) are provided to both players when a trade route is sent between them. The rest of the trade route yields will only be provided to the sender.

    What maps do you use? Pangaea? What maps does the multiplayer community use?

    • @HersonCiv
      @HersonCiv  5 месяцев назад

      The multiplayer community mostly uses Pangea, 7 seas, Lakes, and Highlands. As a result, these are the most common map types in my videos.
