    Very well explained I did UFE procedure sep 28 of 2022 caz of fibroids off-course which was causing very heavy bleeding that was the initial reason as it was making me anemic, first few periods I’ll spot no heavy bleeding n irregular spotting but now it’s been six months and my bleeding starting being as heavy as it wad before the procedure so basically it failed. Now I was thinking to do laparoscopic myomectomy but watching ur video u mentioned a very good point which got me thinking open myomectomy sounds better everyone just talks abt laparoscopic being better caz of small incisions n fast recovery but what u said abt laparoscopic how it churns the motor causing side effects makes so much sense We always go for outer small incision less scarring that’s y I was considering laparoscopic ur lucky whoever ur doctor was, was genuine person thanks for sharing. Now the question is how is the scarring is it minimal or it’s a big cut how is healing hope u share that we’ll be watching thanks

    Thank you for sharing this Shreya. I wish you long health
    Fantastic of you to take the time to explain the downside of the morcellator in such detail
    There is a procedure where the fibroid is contained in a surgical bag and then morcellated within the bag which is then removed sealed through the incision

Since the time Dr recommended Myomectomy I was kinda curious to know how will the surgery go since this is my first ever surgery. Your video gave me a gist of the entire situation. ❤️

    Great. I want to know why hadn't you chosen UAE? ( UTRUS ARTERY EMBOLISING) . It isn't open surgery and even it has less recovery time as compare to surgery.

    • @neneyounge
      @neneyounge Год назад +3

      I had the open myomectomy surgery 3 weeks ago. My doctor advised it was best since I desire to have kids. The UAE is risky as it pertains to fertility. Also, if the fibroid is big, UAE wouldn't be effective.

    • @ahmadarif4920
      @ahmadarif4920 Год назад +3

      @@neneyounge my wife got UAE for 3 months back and mostly dr recommended her not to go with surgery as it could be risky for uterus and UFE could be more affective and less painful.
      Different dr has different opinion.

    • @neneyounge
      @neneyounge Год назад +1

      @@ahmadarif4920 Are you based in the USA? I guess it depends on the location and the woman's age because UAE/UFE doesn't remove the fibroid and is generally not recommended for women who want to become pregnant under my insurance policy. Unfortunately, since covid, insurance companies have gotten more personal with medical decisions.

    • @ahmadarif4920
      @ahmadarif4920 Год назад +3

      @@neneyounge nope. I'm from Pakistan. I don't have any insurance policy. Though here, UFE is bit expensive than normal surgery however dr recommends UFE is more effective and woman has greater chance to get pregnant thereafter. Fibroids ain't get remove after UFE but dead and eventually invisible or dilute in body. Further theres no need of anesthesia which is also sometimes risky and there's no scars left after treatment.

    • @ahmadarif4920
      @ahmadarif4920 Год назад +2

      Further, I'm not against with myomectamy and ain't offending you. Sorry! if my pleading is with UFE. It was my wife's decision and she's satisfied with it.

    Can Open myomectomy prevent future fertility?

    • @pramanikshreya
      @pramanikshreya  Год назад

      I don't think so, as per my conversation with the doctor. You should talk to your doctor once. It is kind of like a C-section. So it does not have any effect on fertility as far as I could understand.
