A caution about V-mount batteries and flying. You can NOT take batteries rated more than 100 watts on a comercial flight. Two 100 watt batteries are fine. A single 101 watt battery is not. You do not want to get to the TSA check point and discover you can't take your battery on your flight.
I have had luck with the brand Kastar. Good quality with fast ship out of LA. I took one of their small NP-F batteries apart and found chinese batteries inside from what appears to be a high quality Chinese Li-Ion battery manufacturer.

Yes! These have a Bowens mount which is pretty standard for most photo/video softboxes.
Did you boom an xlr mic with a 3.5mm jack? Hows the sound from that?
Yes, My Sennheiser MKE 600 takes a AA for power and I use a XLR>3.5mm adapter into the Rode. I think it sounds great and then I have an audio backup on the Rode Wireless.
