This one might be the best one you did. Such a classic rivalry.
Paulie : You're late.
Ralph : Tomorrow I'll be on time. But you'll be stupid forever.
I'm sure that's inspired by Winston Churchill, a notorious imbiber.
Lady : You're drunk, Mr Churchill.
Churchill : Madam, tomorrow I will be sober. But you'll always be ugly.

“I’ll be on time tomorrow, but you’ll be stupid forever.”
The wit on this show was great.
That was great fucking Joe pantialano
It's based from a real Churchill quote
"Lady, in the morning I'll be sober , but you will still be ugly"
@Ryan Guidry Ralphie was a made man and the Dimeo Family's top earner so Paulie would've been the one to get whacked. In a straight up fist fight with no weapons Paulie might beat Ralph's ass but Ralphie would still put up a damn good fight. Guy was batshit. If Ralphie fought dirty as he did with Tony Ralphie would kick Paulie's ass. It'd be one helluva brawl.
One things for sure. Paulie would take one to the nuts!
Using that next time I'm late for work
Enraged Paulie always looks like an angry muppet
Watch it, Chrissy
lol he does
He was on sesame street
He actually did a skit on sesame street with Steve. It's pretty funny

Furio slipping on that ice and cursing in Italian is way funnier than it should be..
His final yelp before the scene cuts especially.
*In Neapolitan

"Nobody's killin' anybody!"
5 mins later Tony is beating Ralphie to death. :D
@@MachaotakeTony even said that who ever did this gets a pass. "The guy was a piece of shit".
Tony had enough. Ralph battered a pregnant twenty-year-old girl his own daughter's age and her unborn child to death with his bare hands. It's never made 100 percent clear if Ralphie burned down the horse stables but he still had it coming.
Kinda true when people say Tony was a selfish sociopath. He only cares when people's money are green to him. Anything else to his crew are in the back of his mind
@@Machaotake "guy was a piece of shit"

Paulie was the cause of like 60% of the problems in this show...
And I still loved him lol
95%
It was more of paulie trying to be old school, and being told no by a mental midget 30 years younger than him
@Big Daddy let’s not forget tony killed Ralph and was willing to blame it on New York. The only real problem paulie started was with the Russian
Chris, Paulie, and the two of them together caused *at least* 2/3 of the show’s problems, either directly or indirectly. I’d say Blundetto & Tony himself probably deserve at least 10% each
“ you know guys like Paulie never kick up their full percent “ I always wondered if that influences Tony’s decision at the sit down...
I think this was about the retirement home that cost a fortune and Tony wanted to make it rougher for Paulie to come up with the dough for it for his ma. There was a scene where paulie said to tony "I'm gonna put my ma in the retirement home u recommended" and Tony was like "I never recommended it" and seemed slightly upset by it
Tephlon Don nope tony was gonna rule in paulies favor because he hated Ralph but paulie brought up the nursing home (ITS A RETIREMENT COMMUNITY) and it pissed Tony off so he fucked paulie over. Then paulie fucked Tony over by telling john what ralphie joked about Ginny
@Fernando Aispuro Paulie was right to act like that with Christopher, first week as a made guy this dumb Christopher wasn't capable to come with the cash.
@@sebc3546 Yes it was probably because Paulie talked about the retirement home. Tony understood that the money Paulie asked for, was because he put his mom in such a pricey retirement home. It's not for Ralph to pay on his end the retirement home of Paulie's mom ah ah.

This is what I just figured out about Paulie. He was involved in several money heists in the show. Most of the other guys have some sort of legit business of their own (Sil with the strip joint; Pussy with the car shop), but Pauile gets his money from no-show jobs, gambling, loan-sharking, etc., and still has the balls to pull risky jobs like heist (at his age). Say what you will about him, but Paule was one of the few old fashion wiseguys.
I don't think it's a question of being old school, Carmine is the epitome of an old school mafioso in the show and is all
business.
I think Paulie just lacks the intellectual capacity to run an organized racket. These small jobs (like literally stealing from an old lady or extorting a landscaper) either earned him peanuts and/or were just a short term cash boost. Ultimately this approach greatly diminished his stature in the organization due to the small envelopes he kicked up, which is largely where his constant insecurity and double dealing came from (one of the main factors to being down the Soprano family).
He's like the old boomer dinosaur at the office who holds the company back but sucks up to the boss and relies on his seniority.
@@colorcombinations7387John Gotti was almost exclusively a heist and loan shark guy like Paulie until he took out Paul Castellano. Gotti and the guys who supported him looked on Castellano as a "racketeer" and a "businessmen" and not a "street guy", and they derided him for that. That was actually part of the reason they could get the muscle together from different crews to hit Big Paul. Including Sammy the Bull who, before the hit, was considered one of Paul's guys. Gotti, before he approached Sammy in the preplanning phase of the hit, was even thinking about taking out Sammy too - until they approached Sammy, who had lots of different conduction businesses (some legit and others not legit), other businesses including nightclubs and so on, but still carried himself as a "street guy", and was known as such because he'd spent years robbing people, robbing cars and even robbing phone booths (one of his biggest incomes waa from literally robbing phone booths of coins), during the period before he got into business.
So it's not always about intelligence. Big Paul was a very smart boss and made millions for himself and his family. But he isolated himself and by not being involved in, and by looking down upon street crimes, he was considered, basically, weak.
Cuz Paulie was a full blown theif.. He enjoyed it.

Tony couldve at least got Paulie about $20K , $12K was very low for a $100K lick. After all , Paulie was always very loyal to Tony and always checked anyone who didn’t respect Tonys orders. Tony slacked especially since he didn’t even like Ralph that much anyway.
CRISTIAN GALLARDO and little Paulie should have got some doe for having to hang around in 11 degree weather!
Ralph was his best earner.. Vito was his best earner.. Money matters the highest for the ruthless Mafia Boss.
He might have got more if he didn’t bring up Green Grove.
Remember this is only a couple of episodes after “Pine Barrens”, where Paulie’s dickheadedness messed up what should have been a simple, quick assignment. I’m sure that was still on Tony’s mind as well. Not that Tony ever knew the extent of Paulie’s culpability, but it was a pretty serious strike against him. Paulie lowkey got away with way more than he should have over the course of the series.
That was a bad call on his part

Cracking up, ugotz.
“criminal sexual activity” really set him off
“You forget the thousand other incidents with that guy?” asks Paulie, of all people
Paulie's face at 3:13 cracks me up all the time
Furio perpetually entering a situation then yelling in Italian is the best running joke
Paulie was smarter than people may realize and Tony's mother was pulling the strings with Junior's crew.
Ralph was the only character on this show that was true to himself and more than competent at what his job was. He didnt pretend to be a nice guy or false empathy. He understood that loyalty only comes from what he brings to the table.
That’s my fav line from the show. “Tomorrow I’ll be on time, you’ll be stupid forever.”
2:06 that's so funny how he reacts much more aggressive to Ralphie 'sit the fuck down and shut up' while Paulie was the one attacking and he's only being told 'sit dooooown' in a let's be reasonable voice. The look on Ralphs face while he's eyeballing Tony too haha
Omg Furio falling had me crying🤣🤣
Tony could have ruled Paulie was owed 25k or so, 12k was insulting
At least 25 especially since he held off paying him for a while.
Ero Sennin I was going to say WTF u mean, but you’re right....at 2 points a week the juice would drive up the debt
eric williams You know paulie is a greedy fuck he was probably only entitled to about 30k but was shooting for 50k lol
So this entire fiasco with New York could've been prevented if Tony ruled to split 50-50. That 38K Tony gave to Ralph cost him hundreds of thousands in HUD. At the same time, Ralphie was his biggest earner and didn't want to upset that gravy train neither. Tony should've whacked Paulie plain and simple for being disloyal to his family.
Tony did that cause ralphie was the biggest earner, notice Tony’s eyebrows went up once ralphie said thanks to him the family was making 3mil a year from construction
That scene when he called Paulie’s mother was GOLD.
One of the milliion reasons why Sopranos is amazing. 90% of the time it works as a comedy as well.
I need that money for my “long range planning” 😂🤣😅
Paulie acts like such an old lady with the way he gossips, breaks anything he's told in confidence and starts shit for no reason. Paulie was never an learner like Ralphie so he had it out for him and would attack any way possible, especially with writing the family gossip pages.

I love that pleading note in Paulie's voice during the sit-down.
"Mr Walters" was my favourite character.. wish they did more with him.
The prank call was insane 💀💀💀
As always with Soprano's, Tony ruling against Paulie, at the sit down, was a culmination of many things. Ralphy is a good earner, so Tony was content to keep him happy where possible. Tony was getting increasingly pissed with Paulie, for a number of reasons. Messing up at the pine barrans job etc. Tony can also be petty if he feels undermined, like when Paulie was bragging about getting his mom in Greengrove, where Tony's mom was. But I think the main reason, was that he told Paulie he would speak with Ralphy about the £50k, meaning he was in Paulie's conner at this point, Paulie, being a hot head, shot down Tonys help and demanded a 'formal' sit down. So Tony, feeling slighted at Paulies response, was thinking, fine, you want a sit down, don't complain when I rule against you then. It was probably fair to give Paulie, much more money, but Tony was always an opportunist. All things considered, an excuse to keep Ralphy happy, punish Paulie for his mistakes and bring him down a peg, all played in to Tony's hands. Even the slip from Furio was a great excuse to cut the meeting straight after the ruling.
True.
Then there's always the game of Tony being able to throw that in Ralph's face later on & forever over anything.
Wise play despite the screw to his own crew.
Paulie is the ultimate survivor of the entire show.

Paulie was out of his mind literally wanted half for alarm codes
I doesn't matter what he wanted. Whatever the sum was, Ralph obviously agreed to the split. Instead he scammed them and tried to bring the sum down after the fact. I'm sure Paulie would have no shortage of people willing to go on a job like this.
They'd prieviously agreed to split it 50%, and Little Paulie was meant to be part of the crew that did the jacking (it was going to be a joint thing). Instead Ralphs crew got the codes and did the job on their own, leaving Little Paulie outside waiting in the freezing cold and refusing to hand over Paulies share

Joe Pantoliana so good , best in this show
Paulie is making all of the noise, but Ralphie is bringing in all the money. Ralphie speaking out of turn is really Ralphie demonstrating that he has the upper hand and he knows it. Tony isn't mad that Ralphie is provoking Paulie. Tony is mad because Ralphie is letting Tony know that Ralphie is calling the shots on this one even though Tony is making the judgment. Tony is pissed because Ralphie is smart enough to know what he can get away with and is using that knowledge to annoy Tony when Tony is basically going to give Ralphie what he wants. The fact that Ralphie is a huge earner gives him power over Tony(as Tony relies on the money) until it doesn't.
That kiss on the cheek was like one I’d give my grandmother
