As for a code of honor, free paladins basically have none, besides, “don’t break the law” and “try to be just”. In Ff14, Paladins fight each other for dominance when they meet, Warriors are Zen masters of their emotions, and Dark knights gain their power from love.
Considering you have to beat the Living Shadow, and the Dark Knight will heal to full with the current Living Dead, you essentially have to beat them 3 times to win.
As a Dark Knight Main, just make sure you didn't touch or threaten the child, lover, or peoples they're protecting. Dark Knights are weaponized rage incarnate, whether it's from love or hate doesn't matter as long as there's a strong emotion backing that rage (they are basically paladins with a warrior complex and dark magic). A dark knight who's calm and at ease is usually the safest thing to be around, even compared to a white mage and a paladin who are the stereotypical "good guy" tank and healer role

Bro paladins are damn near unkillable, even if you do damage they heal themselves, they can make themselves completely invulnerable, and they have unlimited blade works. Fight might be fair, but not a chance of winning against one (yes I’m a pally main so I’m bias)
Yeah, Paladins would give you the fair chance of starting the fight by throwing their shield at your face like Captain America, and summon TONS of swords at your feet if you dare to runaway (or if you are next to them, they aren't picky). You are also fucking dead xD We were originally gladiators, after all.
I think realistically Dark knight is the weakest of the tanks. Every other Tank relys on something other than aether, and it's not like a Dark Knight is conserving their aether smartly, look at those particle effects! If you can survive for twenty minutes, they'll probably end up burning themselves out.
Do you know that they can easily replenish their aether? Also did you forget that you would need to kill a Dark Knight twice and with Living shadow thrice?
Whenever I'm a healer in the party, I always feel more... useful when the tank is a Dark Knight? The other tanks have their healing abilities and their mitigation stacks up but Dark knight can only do so much "hit me and I hit back harder" until, well, they need a hyper heal move.

You should also try to let your hp drop low enough before popping bolide so you're not just wasting your Health. With its cooldown it's pretty great

Tanks are all busted lore wise but I would probably say dark knight would be the worst one to pick a fight with. Not only does he have cheap dark magic and thrives on paim but he's also got a shadow clone to gank you.

Gunblades arent actually guns. They do not shoot projectiles. Theyre based on the FF8 ones. Garlean gunblades on the other hand are proper firearms.

Bro paladins are damn near unkillable, even if you do damage they heal themselves, they can make themselves completely invulnerable, and they have unlimited blade works. Fight might be fair, but not a chance of winning against one (yes I’m a pally main so I’m bias)

Yeah, Paladins would give you the fair chance of starting the fight by throwing their shield at your face like Captain America, and summon TONS of swords at your feet if you dare to runaway (or if you are next to them, they aren't picky). You are also fucking dead xD

I think realistically Dark knight is the weakest of the tanks. Every other Tank relys on something other than aether, and it's not like a Dark Knight is conserving their aether smartly, look at those particle effects! If you can survive for twenty minutes, they'll probably end up burning themselves out.
Do you know that they can easily replenish their aether? Also did you forget that you would need to kill a Dark Knight twice and with Living shadow thrice?
Whenever I'm a healer in the party, I always feel more... useful when the tank is a Dark Knight?
The other tanks have their healing abilities and their mitigation stacks up but Dark knight can only do so much "hit me and I hit back harder" until, well, they need a hyper heal move.
