A great reminder that you can’t take it all with you, don’t keep it for ungrateful families the young ones are not interested. Scale down through the years it’s very cleansing.
Oh my gosh y’all! I cried through most of this episode! How could they not want their Mama’s personal items? The pictures! Memories! I’m beside myself with grief for this woman! Thanks for sharing this! Love and blessings boys!❤

They do this for the $ not the person's history ... You may not understand it but its how they make $ ....and maybe she wasn't very close with her kids ...that's usually how this ends up or they sold her house and split the bank accounts and we're good u just never know
I didn't look through all the comments, so this is a comment about the Supreme Court Document and the framed photo of the men and women with it. It piqued my interest so I went looking around. It is a certificate showing James Wilson was basically approved to bring cases before the Court. The man who made the recommendation, Marcus Hollabaugh, became a well-known anti-trust attorney in DC, and his obit states he was a former FBI agent. I'm not a great researcher, but I found out that Wilson graduated from the University of Akron Law School. J. Robert Wilson graduated in 1946, and went on the be the head of Roadway Express. The photo that was with the Supreme Court certificate may be Wilson's law school class. There weren't many in classes closer to WW II. Just some cool history, and I hope you kept the stuff to possibly pass along. I looked up Virginia's obit and it comfirms J.Robert was the head of Roadway. He died before she did. She was also an attorney, keeping her license until her death. You can bet they had a very interesting life.
Seriously though, was there a teenager in the early 70s that did NOT have Desiderata (on faux parchment paper) pinned on their bedroom or apartment wall? I am 67 and can still recite it from memory. Also, a suggestion for Jeff, with the most soothing voice ever, you should narrate some classic poetry and/or bedtime stories and save them on an audio file. Your children and grandchildren will treasure them, I am sure of that.
The more expensive artwork was definitely hidden!! The others may still have value though - if you have someone who looks up artwork. That was the poem "Desiderata" - very popular poem in my teen days (I am 68!)! Quite a mixture of items! Good to see you did get some treasures to offset the cost! Thanks for sharing! It was good to see you and Jeff with George and Patience and sweet little Pepper - looking forward to see Jeff's unit unpacking - will it be on here and does he have his own channel? :)
Desiderata - a poem by Max Ehrmann. It is lovely. My in-laws and an uncle had it framed hanging in their homes - no, they didn't know each other. Look it up, it is easy to relate to.
Here in Ireland in the 70s and early 80s we all where given a scrolled copy of Desiderata upon leaving secondary school graduation , Hi school in the states. To this day it resonates with me. x
Hey guys, hope you're both well, the silver coins was a cool little bonus ? But I genuinely think the artwork will get you over a thousand bucks easy ! Plus the vintage clothes, ephemera, old pics and postcards plus the wooden parrots and some other odd and ends, plus the little bits of gold?even the plushies will all add up to a nice profit ? I mean that one painting of the leopard was worth about 1 and a half times what the unit cost on its own, nice score rob,JJ, 👍🏴😎, ATB guys
That tidbit of history and the impact Mrs Wilson had on nor just the community but overall in the US with her advocacy for the ADA had me a little star struck lol. All I can say is just wow. ❤
I think you two missed your opportunity as a pair of stand up comedians on the stage but there is still plenty of time , l would pay to watch you perform! ( as you should be quite cheap night)😊😊😊 Rich W Ely UK 🇬🇧
I was going to kick it off and I caught the glimpse of you with the last box you really hit the Mudder load with those VHS tapes Eagle ! hope your paintings Or whatever are worth something

liked the video _ you have a gift for finding real cash value in these storage lockers. btw, $100 in 1965 is around $1,000 today. keep up the search and good luck!
Oh my I understand that you are in the business to make a profit and I hope that you do but for me the personal papers and pictures are the treasures in this locker, especially the older stuff. I’d love to have those sort of memories from my mother or grandmother but they both passed early and didn’t leave much behind like this.

This is the saddest thing to see there is so much history in those pictures. In the long run they will be worth more than any amount of money those boxes could hide. Those are pictures of a one family and can never be replaced once tossed in the garbage… who knows who these people are they cold have can told the history of a future president or who knows the first to travel to mars unfortunately they are only worth something to the family members that rented the storage unit..not the ones that bought the stuff. So say good - bye to the one of a kind pictures of who knows what family’s future and the stories those pictures could tell.

Provenance ~ if you have a tiny piece of nothing… IF you have the STORY and FACTS about that little nothing it can suddenly be worth millions! Facts attached to art or anything is so EPIC!
I much rather listen to Just Jeff talk than the females giggling flirting and making sexual innuendos. Just Jeff has a soothing voice. Appreciate you Just Jeff!
I am doing my family tree, I don’t understand why her family doesn’t want all those photos of ? how many generations. I would love to have even some of those things of my family, that’s both sides.
Yes, i do scrapbooking and collect old photos. Its disgusting to watch him tear through the delivate tissue paper... and photos. Placing artwork on the dirty floor. 🤬
Art can be worth money it increases with time I bought an Asian artist some years ago for close to 25 $ a few years ago it was worth 75$ and some could be worth so.much more depending on the artist but I am sure you would investigate the worth plus things that may not be worth anything to you could be collectable !!

Sad that this lady held family pictures, memories etc with such love, but her family didn't care enough to claim them!

Funny that I came across this video, I’m beginning gifting my belongings. I love shopping so the struggle for me is to stop buying. 😊😅
Those boxes of letters you should read them learn about the lady that had the unit you might be surprised
Oh my gosh y’all! I cried through most of this episode! How could they not want their Mama’s personal items? The pictures! Memories! I’m beside myself with grief for this woman! Thanks for sharing this! Love and blessings boys!❤
This will be my daughter. She is from a different mold.
That makes me sad 😢

After watching all of this..I just feel sad. But wow, what a life she had! Cheers to her!

I agree - I am 68!! The parchment paper - the poem - hung on my bedroom wall with tacs! :) Something to be said for the good old days!!
I did!
that crocheted afghan is gorgeous
That vintage black multicolored afghan is very popular right now
Just Jeff, I like the mystery and history of all of the units too.
I would keep everything because those that look rubbish are probably worth the most
I'm cringing watching how rough you are with handling the items. Please be more careful!

I worked at an auction house for 4 years, and loved it.
Hi from 🇨🇦 Another great storage unit. Hi Rob and Jeff
Hello 👋
That tidbit of history and the impact Mrs Wilson had on nor just the community but overall in the US with her advocacy for the ADA had me a little star struck lol. All I can say is just wow. ❤
Jeff cracked this case wide open. Not a bad unit some quality art. But not much in the way of projectiles for Jeff to dodge !
I know, nothing good to throw
Great unit 🤗🥰👍🙏
Thanks Karen
The pic of kids fighting I believe was a Manuel Monedero from Seville and sold by the Dickson Gallery in Washington
Those kids are gonna wish they kept all those old photos. Especially if they do genealogy.
Thanks Rob.
Like the banter between Just Jeff and Rob, it makes me laugh.
Well, I think that was a great unit ! So many old items , who knows what you'll find when you go thru it with a fine tooth comb.
Yes, it's definitely a time capsule of their lives
50:56 I like that piece too!!!
The gold earrings are malachite!
love that picture of the horses misty's
This was a very cool unit!
That purple iris painting looked like a Georgia O'Keefe big $$$
Thanks for the information, I appreciate it

All that lovely ephemera, I would be in my element 😊
Interesting unit, love the art work. I am sure some of them are worth a bit. Especially the Disney stuff. Fun video.
Yes, I can't wait to research the artwork. The 1 piece they bought for $100 in 1965. That's like paying $1,000 today
She was a supreme court attorney for South Eastern ohio. She was one of the richest families in ohio. 😎 locker yall.
Definitely, had a lot of $$$$

If they were framed by a dealer they should have records if they still exist.
Did You Guys Notice, Not A Single Electronic Item In The Unit??? Later Boys!!
True
A handheld tape recorder.😊
The piece with the children fighting was stunning! Then it started to really bother me cause it is truly so sad. 😢
Yes, it's an amazing piece that captures movement in the subjects. It was created in the 1960s, definitely different times
Jeff is why we watch!
I think it was her dad or husband in the pictures of all the udges
Hi Rob and Jeff
Hi Gayle 👋
Just Jeff called it, that deer is awesome 😊
It sure is!
Like the frames on some of them
Yes, definitely some great frames
that crochet afghan looked liked it was done by a Master crocheter.
It's amazing
Hi Rob. Hey Jeff.
The little thing cames up about price on the side is that what you sold it for
I sure hope you try to find someone in the family to take those pictures.

This is so sad all that family photos and history. I hope you reach out to a relative if you can and try to return them
I gave those items to the storage facility manager
@@2ndCentsIncAuctionsCleveland excellent good thinking, I hope they find a family member that will cherish them.
The Disney cells, if original will pay for the unit, easily.
Thanks Terry
