Fighting continued for several days and the total number of American troops reached near 7000 along with 300 troops from the _Organization of American States_ (OAS). The invading forces encountered about 1,500 Grenadian soldiers & roughly 700 armed Cuban nationals manning defensive positions. The People's Revolutionary Army possessed eight BTR-60PB armored personnel carriers & two BRDM-2 scout cars which they had received from the Soviet Union in February, 1981, but no tanks. If only Barry had a Tony...
"i was saying TTYL to my innocence"
Hader absolutely nailed this, and that girl’s puppet.
zing 😂😂
And I wouldn't rule out him nailing the girl later, either.
Low key one of the best parts of this is how the other two students just completely roll with it in the scenes he involves them in.
The girl is so hilarious, the way she calmly enters onto the bizarre puppet sex, like it’s as natural as can be!!😂😂
It's one of those things that as an actor, or in this case puppeteer, you really do need to naturally play off others... but here I think it's kind of a fear/respect socially intimidated thing.
Probably very little of this sketch was improvised. I'm sure they had a day or more to rehearse it.
Seth MacFarlane and Bill Hader talents together: 🔥🔥🔥
show of hands, who else thinks Tony should be a regular on Sesame Street?
Me
Elmo: Elmo is going to go shopping!
Tony: No-one could go shopping in GRENADA!
Elmo: Is Tony sad?
Tony: Yes child, since I have yo know things you'll never know.
Elmo: ... Elmo going home now.
Gilberto Tabares 🖐
🤚🏻
He should appear in a Binkov Battlegrounds video.
Most underrated part is Keenan's look after the absurdity of a puppet smoking the cig.... such a fantastic skit.
Not under rated by me.
and Keenan's puppet has the same expression, it's great
@@ephenseyst Yes!! revisited this and the laughter is still rolling
Kennan is one of the great comedy "straight men"
Right?? 😂😂 Priceless!
"I had a friend in Grenada I called him little tater"
I...covered up his mouth and...chocked him out!!!
He will never be forgotten.
"CLASSSIC"!
JUST, FKN CLASSIC!
Little Tater got choked out.
🤣
Seth is so great. His character starts out being obnoxiously enthusiastic and cheerful. And tries so hard to stay that way.
He didn’t break once watching Bill Hader on a roll 😂
At 1:52 he is about to break, so he took a deep breath and went again. True professional!
"Is that what you like, daddy's girl?!" *intense puppet make out session*
4:39
Almost as touching as the sex scene in Team America.
When Kenan's puppet started making noises like he was getting choked out for real...That shit had me rolling!😂😂😂😂
He's brilliant!
I didn't even notice that the first time i watched it. Took me a second view to catch it.
I refuse to believe this was shot in 2012.
Same here
Y??
Why?
Same lol
Ray Diesel Cause SNL has been shit for years, but this was good
2:19-2:22 😂🤣😅😆"Nobody was Laughing Out Loud that Day in Grenada".
I lost it when he started shaking, and was on the floor when he was smoking and shaking.
Keith Purdue lol me too
Lol! Hilarious when the smoke poured out of the puppet!
snowflakestomper in this case, yes, yes it is. 😂
snowflakestomper lighten up snowflake they ain’t victimising particular people....
snowflakestomper I got past my PTSD by lifting weights 🏋️♀️
This has to be one of my top ten SNL sketches ever. Every joke hits, every expression and reaction is perfect.
Nah, you're dead wrong. It would have been sooo much better if pete davidson had been in it laughing the entire time.
Auriam I completely agree with you. This is definitely in my top 10
I like it too. Shame their sketches always run 2 minutes too long though
I’m Clark, and I like biscuits and waffles!
That's great! Tell us more about Clark?
@@TikiRoly He was another grunt in my platoon, together, we'd go house to house, spraying liquid death.
Okay.. why don’t we why don’t we have these guys act out some scenes.
Maybe my guy is a real nerd and he’ll say “Hey ranger can you tell me where in the forest I can plug in my laptop?”
Clark sounded like Al Gore lol
Love this sketch so much. First saw it in a barracks and I laughed so loud at midnight I woke up so many of the guys, the flashback is hilarious
That reminds me of our barracks... in Grenada.
@@MattStevens9824 😂😂😂😂
"Hi I'm Clark! I like biscuits and waffles!"
"Tell us more about Clark!"
*He was another grunt in my platoon*
Ngl, they had us in the first half...
Seth looks like a natural on stage. Imo, he’s an underappreciated multitalented artist that has worked in children’s cartoons, adult animation, voice acting, and musical performances.
Seth was the perfect straight man, most guest hosts and many SNL players could not have done as well
and he produced a documentary on astronomy
TRUE, but also, have you not seen the Orville?
Seth is a one-man show and probably should get more recognition, although I'm sure he's extremely well compensated so that's a lot.
@@mkocel Orville is so damn good!
"I'm not dopey, YOU'RE dopey!"
"Heeeeyyy...." 😄
Gets me every time
That’s my favorite part! Lol!
It's that little delay like it took him a second to realize his puppet got him good.
One of the greatest. Can't stop laughing
No one was laughing out loud that day in Greneda...
Everything i watch it, it's to funny!!
must be nice to laugh no one was laughing that day in Granada they were saying OMG
no one was laughin out loud that day in granada......
Grenada mate, Its Grenada.
Connor Hutcheon granada is a fruit 😂😂😂
Tiger Lilly it's a Spanish city actually lol
The Granada was a popular Ford of the 70s and early 80s, as well.
Connor Hutcheon hahahahahahahaha
Knowing that Bill Hader would go on to Barry, this sketch makes a lot of sense.
barry?
Allison Avery it’s a tv show he does which is amazing
@@SparkyClarke oh ok, thank you
Barry was amazing and I never knew he did comedy. It was just good acting, which is a rare quality and he has that innocence about him in Barry...
Totally agree, "Barry" is a fantastic example of dark humor.
“I clocked you the minute I walked in the door”
Your intense
@@moodyowlproductions4287 you're* ☺️
You like that, daddy’s girl
these four playing off each other is comedy gold! love this skit
4:50 I wonder if Bill kissing the puppet was planned or improvised, cause Vanessa is genuinely cracking up and shocked.
Kole Dornseifer I’ve read Lorne Michaels famously hates people going off script, so probably not if that’s true
Hader said in an interview that it was improvised.
Kole Dornseifer
He was making fun of Vanessa's tendency of kissing handsome celebrity guests.
Loveeee your profile pic 😂😂😂 im a big fan of IJ 😂
Sean Parkinson Lorne Michaels hates improvisation, that’s true.
But if it works and the audience found it funny, he tends to not care so much.
If they improv and it bombs, then he gets pissed,
Bill Hader would make one hell of a Dwight Schrute impersonator.
I only just discovered Bill Hader (from deepfake videos) and at first I thought he WAS the actor who plays Dwight Schrute !
Identity theft is a crime, Jim!
I actually thought that Bill Hader was Rainn Wilson for second when I saw the thumbnail of this video.
He does play Dwight Schrute in the "Japanese The Office" SNL sketch, and he's as good as you think!
Y was nobody obsessed at
The office when it was on?
Funny how Hader carries the cast in everything he does.
You bet. A flop becomes top.
EVERYTHING. HE. DOES.
Yup superbad to without officer Slater it's not the same
I almost agree 💯... But those Vincent price Holiday specials he had some good back up. Almost everyone in those are great... Like Kristen Wiig's strung out Judy Garland. Don't get me wrong though... I'm watching this Video for a reason- Bill Hader is the man!
That's why he's one of the newer former cast members to host and return for appearances.
“I’m Clark, and I like biscuits and waffles.” Cracks me up every time. It just comes out of nowhere. 😂
Just looking at Bill and his puppet was cracking me up! Then he intones: "Anthony Peter Coleman, United States Army, Dishonorable discharge May 19th, 1983" ... You just know it's gonna be a classic the minute he uttered those words.
I was only two months old when he was discharged but I still feel like it had an impact on me.
I like how Vanessa just lets Bill make out and feel up her puppet.
"Just lets"? Hell, she was into it. Watch it again, and look at her face while it's happening.
Think maybe Vanessa wants a ticket to ride on the Hader train. Giggity.
@@TBustah she was in bliss listening to him grunt lmao
She nearly joined in! Haha she'd have regretted that!
I love Vanessa. That overbite is so sexy.
Some sketches become immortal as you are watching them. This is one of those.
I was too young when SNL started but of all the cast since I'm old enough to watch this show, Bill Hader is up there on the list along with Molly Shannon, Tina Fey, Phil Hartman, Chris Farley, Jon Lovitz and Will Ferrell.
And Kristen Wiig
Chevy Chase as president ford. John belushi as samari deli guy. Gilda radner as Rosanne Rosanna danna. Omg 70s snl was something you literally waited all week to watch. Theres been some cast members close to those like kristen wiig and bill hader but not many
@@rosep8481 I've seen all the first couple seasons but there have been some insanely good things on since as well. Maybe the first season or two had a bit more density of great skits but I'm not even sure about that. David Pumpkins, Sarah Palin, Sean Spicer, Bruno Mars, Sprockets, Norm McDonald...
Love keenans expression when the puppet start smoking. I can't stop laughing
Neither did we back in Grenada. Except the smoke wasn’t coming out our mouths. It was coming off the bodies we burned to prevent the lice and malaria from spreading. We laughed, cause it was one more day we were alive… in that hellhole called Grenada.
That was the best part for me as well
😆😂🤣
Have you stopped yet?
I'd be totally freaking out too if a puppet starts smoking in front of me
Seth just totally nails how puppet guys are
Tony sounds like Batman who went and come back from Vietnam.
Now that would make that black wearing pussy much cooler.
@@supergluehotty dude.. i think you have a problem. why would fighting in an extremely bloody and miserable war and getting splattered with all your friends blood and brains make someone... cool?
I'd watch/read that storyline
@@supergluehotty u r gay

"Click for more Seth MacFarlane"

*video pauses*
*staring at Seth MacFarlane*
well it wasn't wrong..
The amount of effort you see in Bill's face on 3:28 when he tries not to laugh is worth an academy award!
nah, he was actually mimicking his puppet smoking there
