    I am a very happy day 1 owner of the Pimax Crystal, and I really appreciate your big efforts in improving overall. It is of course absolutely crucial for any company that wants to expand even further. The foundation on which to build, not only on the hardware side, needs to be there. So thank you again for the work and dedication, and also for this video. Love from Norway ♥♥♥

    Wow!! That’s the most candid and honest video I have ever seen come out of Pimax. Thank you and keep up on the customer service improvements. It will go a long way to improving trust between us the end users and Pimax.

    I have had my Pimax Crystal since late August and am extremely satisfied. While I was initially pretty upset about the repeated shipping delays, the Pimax team was always responsive. I always received responses and even additional coupons to make up for the shipping delays. As for the quality, I have absolutely no complaints. Teh setup was a breeze and all subsequent firmware updates were seamless and provided a ton of additional features, such as 72Hz mode, DFR enablement, and auto eye tracking. The combination of all these follow-on features have made what was already a fantastic VR experience out of the box initially an even better experience, and I have now dialed in my headset for my purposes (DCS flight simming) to where I don't have to mess with settings anymore at all and the picture is Crystal clear. Once the 12K comes out, I will definitely upgrade with Pimax. Overall, it's a fantastic product and the Pimax team has been very professional, courteous, and responsive. Great job Pimax and thank you!

    I appreciate the transparency you give. I am happy to see this support. I have a ticket open at the moment and your agent Doman Chen proves that he does anything to help me with my tracking issue.
    One suggestion remains: the colors of the led indicators of the HMD itself, the battery and the charger should be unified and clearer explained.

    I like these videos. Wholesome, honest and with a dash of an accent I love. My advice to you Pimax is to not announce a release date for any product until its 100% ready to be shipped. Just be like valve. Also stick with your trademark as wide fov high fidelity headset. Combining pcvr and mobile isn't worth the software complications. The pimax crystal is a beautiful piece of tech but I promise you the pimax 12k qled is what the pimaxians are anticipating. A headset that doesn't make any compromises to be a quest 3.

      Hi since you have both i have 2 questions. 1: the wide field of view of the 8kx is cool but people say that it gets really distorted near the edges and the information there is kind of useless? 2: can you drive the Crystal at 90Hz or more? or are all of the games bussy with reprojection? i know its a gpu question also, i have a 4090

      I wouldn’t say the outside edges get really distorted on the 8KX unless you really look for it. I still use mine it DCS World. Love the wide field of view period. But they don’t make the 8KX anymore. Now the Crystal really nails it the clarity and colors are just super. Can’t wait to purchase the 12K when it comes out. If its clarity is even close to the Crystal then it should be a keeper. I can drive the Crystal at 72 , 90, and 120hz. I’m usually on 120 and have no problems. Hope this helps. The wide FOV is the key as the immersion is just super.

      i heard of the 12k oled but its a long time ago and there are no news since then. If its release would be around the corner i would wait. Other option would be the somnium vr1. 8Kx is on ebay sometimes. i really like the big FOV aspect of it but iam afraid that if i buy it now it would be a mistake. Currently i have/had Index,G2,quest,psvr and i want to upgrade now. if there would be a place to test those hmds before buying it

    From day one customer service has been an amazing experience, I never thought I'd move from Valve and the Index but my experience with Pimax customer service meant buying a Crystal was a worthwhile investment. Thank you for all your efforts.

    So my biggest issue with the crystal in the beginning was the unfinished software. I have yet to even try the stand alone mode as there is nothing on the store that I want to try. I have ordered the 15mm pad to try to help me with comfort as it does not fit me as comfortable as my index. I hope it helps. I HATE the battery. It's hard to remove and limits my time in sim. When connected to my computer the battery should not be used. I don't understand this. In standalone mode The battery is needed for sure but I have never used it in stand alone mode. The Lighthouse faceplate would be great except when I turn of the headset the lighthouses do NOT go to sleep. I have to unplug them. (So now I'm back to the crystal controllers) If that is never fixed, then I wasted my money on the faceplate and my AWESOME index knuckles are wasting away...The clarity and auto IPD are AWESOME. Its very hard to know if Foveated rendering is working. (Is that a good thing) I wish there was something that would indicate ingame that it was working. A hotkey maybe? Your headset changed DCS for me. I can see my GAUGES and read my indicator lights! THANK YOU!! From a very happy Texan.

      Try disconnecting all the cabling and reconnecting the cables exactly as specified in the Guidance section of the Pimax Client. Plug USBs into the hub in the exact positions specified in the diagram. This solved my problem with the battery going flat. I do not use a faceplate yet.

    I love the Pimax Crystal. I do not notice the weight. I use it for IL2 Sturmovic/Flying Circus and for Blade and Sorcery. When I put it on the heads of other VR users they always say,"Wow this is better than mine". I prefer the Crystal to the 8KX that I was using previously. Following the instructions in the Pimax Client to the letter solves most problems. I run a 2070 Super graphics card. I found out by trial and error which settings suited the card. For fun I have watched a little RUclips on the cinema screen. It is quite enjoyable.I have used it since November 26th.

    will the 12K have compatibility with valve index earphones?

      No. However, the DMAS headphones are said to use the very same drivers as is used in the Index. And having done A-B comparisons between the two, I believe this to be true. The DMAS headphones weren't very impressive on the 8KX due, I believe, to the 8KX having an insufficient amp section to drive them. But on the Crystal which has THX certification, the DMAS headphones are very good. At least equal to the Index's sound quality.
      Unfortunately, the Crystal still suffers from what I consider its most severe bug which is a half second of audio latency which makes its otherwise excellent audio system totally useless for most purposes (outside of flight sims where its just continuous engine noises).

    Paid 200$ in indiegogo and then I see that once the campaign is close within few hrs the device is on sale for 149$ . What kind of business practice is this? And whoever ordered the device outside of campaign received the devices in two days and the campaign backers still don’t have any shipping info. Is this what you call improved customer service?

      dont blame pimax, blame yourself. backing pimax on indiegogo!? they got like 20 millions from investors at least twice, and been in the business for 8 years. WHY DONATE TO A CHINESE COMPANY?

    Dear Pimax, please make your next headset PCVR only (or no batteries when connected to PC) with a form factor like the Quest 3, pancake lenses and the same or better specs than the Crystal, and I sure you I will buy it instantly and you will have a lot of success in the PCVR community.

    Even in this video you present conflicting information regarding how many Crystal USB plugs (3.0 and 2.0) should be connected to the hub. You present a picture with both plugs connected and screen from a YT movie in which you recommend to connect only USB 3.0. Can you finally clarify this and provide coherent set of instructions?

      Sharp! Visual in Pimax Play will be updated soon. We found that in some cases, using the second USB (black plug inside) plugged in drains the battery faster, hence you can try both cases. But for starters we suggest not to use it.

    I WOULD NOT PURCASE again!! Change the name to Pimax Crap!
    Apparently Pimax takes real good care of RUclipsrs by sending them free stuff to review to boost sales. Meanwhile they are slow as molasses at fulfilling promises made to PAYING customers. Thee Pimax Crystal is an overpriced by about $1000, By time you pay for the upgraded speakers, Top Strap, Big FOV lenses etc. the price is upwards of $2,000. All those accessories should come free at the ridiculous price of this large hunk of plastic. I bought my Crystal in November 2023, they promised the comfort top strap with the purchase. I wrote their support team...twice now since the purchase and still no head strap, no Big FOV lenses no upgraded DMAS speakers. Then you charge $99 for the upgraded speakers that aren't actually ever in stock to buy but yet you send all your favorite RUclipsrs all these products for. I WOULD NOT PURCASE again!! Change the name to Pimax Crap!

      They useally send a odd message asking to verify your address and such. If you miss that, I think it delays shipping. I ordered my 15mm face thingy almost a month ago and still haven't seen it and I am looking for that email. I just got one for the big lens's and I placed the order for the lens's about a week ago. {shrug} I wish they had put their warehouse in Texas where it belongs! [wink]

      I had to go back and look. Its for the 42ppd Lens. I believe it was something I got with my preorder? It was free for me. I placed the order on the 1st of December and it still hasn't shipped and my 15mm face pad was ordered on Nov25th and Still no tracking. I want that faceplate worse than the lens LOL Their shipping is still a bit bad from my point of view. The wait for the $1600 headset was Painfull so hopefully they have gotten much better with that.@@marcusdamberger

    So I am pissed off one more time. This is what is wrong with your company and why I think I made a mistake buying a Crystal. Give me the damned information ! You don't need email addresses, passwords, and all kinds of hassle and crap. You need to get help out to your customers any way you can. Then "Play" is so loaded with bugs, things that don't work, things people know nothing about, and etc. It is a total disgrace. While your headset is fine, your software and it's bugs totally stink. And it will be your demise. You are so out of touch that you don't even take major credit cards. So we go buy someplace else. I bet not one in 100 people know what "Experience Home" is, and then it does not work anyway. What a mess. You even use colors and letter sizes that are too small to read without a magnifying glass !
