Many budget devices still come with micro usb, only reason I can think of is they may need to pay licence fees for usb c

Great point about USB c not being there but honestly, I've never really longed for USB c on them. And I'm a USB c guy for sure.

why? it's only for power so why do u need usb c? plus, usb c is more expensive and it's harder to find esp in longer length. unless i'm missing something, i don't see your point.

I had to buy the light for the v3. Totally works great. Have it on my shed looking at my stuff😊 lights up when i need to enter so i can see the steps. I love that light. Super bright for such a small light. I hope this 1 is bright.

So Wyze v3 spec's for night vision 4×940 nm & 4×850 nm IR Lights, Color Night Vision vs Wyze v4 spec's just 4 IR LEDs 850nm and smaller FOV. Seems wyze v3 still better for night..Guess they had to skimp out on the night vision for better audio/led light.Think ill stick with my v3s

Compared to a world filled with ring/blink/nest type products that cant even record 24/7, are vulnerable to attacks, can’t save locally and are known to literally volunteer and share your footage with any LEA that asks for it. I would recommend the wyze over almost every other DIY type camera. You will be long pressed to find a better option with better features at even double the price…
So for someone that does not want to spend a fortune but want one of the most feature filled diy cam on the market, I would recommend. Just finding a camera that does more than underwhelming ‘’events clips’’ but is a actual security camera recording 24/7 is rare these days (again in the market share they find themselves in)?

Wyze cam used to be a great cheap option. Now their products and app are unreliable. Wyze is the reason I switched to POE
