This video is an update of my rc car "144001 GREEN" which crashed earlier when running with the stock tires.
Now it´s finally rebuilt and back on the road again hitting top speed so close now to 100 mph (160 km/h) using 3 cells lipo.
The change from previous setup are the foam tires, metal spur gear and new new motor location.
UPDATE: Fastest Speed Record of this rc car : 176 km/h

VERY NICE work!! Just a word of caution... Those foam tires can come apart at those speeds too. Might be a good idea to get a "tire truing" machine, and cut them down some (to reduce the rotation mass of foam around the rims). I had a set of those wheels blow apart on me, and I cut down a second set, so about 3/4 of the foam tire was removed and haven't had an issue yet. Of course, if you do that, they'll have to spin faster (b/c of the smaller circumference) and you'll have to re-gear accordingly. Just hate to see you have another "big wreck". Keep up the GREAT work!
Thanks! Yeah, I´ve made my own tire truing machine and already cut one set of foams into 55 mm diam instead of the original62 mm diam ... I will use that on one of my speed run cars soon 👍

I never seen a frame like that before especially for a wltoys model. that was one cool friend I'll tell you that where you can put a single lipo on each side oh, now that's cool looking. I wonder if that has anything to do with the stability of the car

At what speed you get with this issue? Using a heavier battery helps

I'm getting a Q901 and 979b to go 100mph. Q901 just did 59mph on 3s. Wasn't topped out yet. Might have to bump the pinion up again
100 MPH is quite a tough speed goal for those rc cars , the Worlds Fastest A979B is 87 MPH .

Yes, some drilling is required ... and the A979 motor mount that I used is adjustable

Hey, does the 144001 run 3S Lipo on Stock ESC?
And also since the 144001 is now a bit old, do you have any recommendations for me for a fast rc car under 100€/120$?
The stock ESC was designed only for 2s ... you can run it few times in 3s but will burn eventually. If you want a better car, then check my othe videos of Wltoys 124019 or 124018 .... interesting that they recently released a Brushless version of these rc cars , so I recommend you go fo it.

Did u use stock motor or a better one?
Nope, this one has been upgraded to a brushless motor ... the stock motor can only reach +50 km/h top speed

That was the stock rear wing and removed some parts of it

What ESC and chassis did you use ?
120 Amp ESC, link in the Description box ... chassis was Stock but I added sidetrays to hold the lipo batteries
I just got one of these and noticed there’s a lot of wheel wobble and looseness in the steering. Is there anyway to fix that? Imagine going the speed you do you need the wheels as solid as possible.
It cant be fixed 100% but using shims will reduce it

That is already a good speed for 4300 kv motor and stock gears on 3s .... I am using higher kv motor to get more speed. You can check my other videos where I showed the motor kv used. Thanks for watching! 👍

@@RcModwerks23 Thanks, I ordered earlier a CM36 in 7700 kv I will order the ESC Hobbywing EZRUN WP SC8 120A-RTR or the Surpass 120A Hobby KK I will receive a 124019 that I will assemble with this motor and a 144001 that I will fit with a motor in 2838

Dual 3s, 3sx2 = 6s
It is still on 3s using PARALLEL connection ...the ESC used is only capable for 3s or 4s , it will instantly burn on 6s

I think that will be complicated since the shipment will cost more than the rc car itself. Hope there will be somebody close to you to help you out. If we are on the same place I would surely help you rebuild your car 👍
The problem with that is once he rebuilt the car for you, the very first time you drive it you'll probably hit something because of the speed, and then you'll never be able to fix it on your own
