The Puritans did actually use legalism by trying to force Sunday worship, and everyone who could afford a Bible must have one. The real issue is that the disciples and converts went to the Temple EVERYDAY (Acts 2:46). Christians today can worship God EVERYDAY as well, and don't need a church to do so because we are the Temple (1 Corinthians 3:16). We are also the royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:4-9). The Sabbath of the Old covenant was the 7th-day of the week, but Christ is our Sabbath under the new covenant; who we now can worship any day at anytime.
That is your own interpretation Bro. All the 10 commandments have not changed under the so called new covenant. Why would only one of them be changed under the new covenant especially if you consider James 2:8-12. The new Covenant simply means the commandments will now be written in our hearts and not on tablets of stones. The only difference between the old and new testament when it comes to the law is the issue of condemnation. In the old testament, people were stoned as soon as they broke the 10 commandments. That condemnation is what Christ took way. It doesn't mean that the law is done away with. If you take the woman caught in adultery, Christ did not allow them to stone her as the old testament stipulated. However, after Christ saved her, He did not say I have come so you can continue in adultery. He said go and sin no more, meaning it is still a sin to commit adultery. I am sure you admit that all the other nine commandments are important because---adulterers, idolaters, etc will not inherit the kingdom of God. The only commandment that attracts comments like--we are not under the law, you are being a legalist etc is the Sabbath commandment. Do people say we are not under the law when it comes to adultery or covetousness? Never! They only say that about the 4th commandment. Anyway, we do not keep the commandments to be saved (no one can)--we keep the commandments because we are saved in Christ--If you love me, keep my commandments. Or are you unaware of Ephesians 2:11-12 which read: ”Therefore, remember that you were once Gentiles in the flesh, who are called uncircumcision by those who are called circumcision in the flesh made by hands; And that you were without Christ at that time, [alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise], having no hope, and without God in the world.” That word [commonwealth] in Greek is [πολιτεία/politeia]. It denotes the [Citizenship] of a kingdom/[community]. If you're a stranger FROM the covenant of promise, you have nothing to do with its reward (justification/sanctification/glorification). All of which are accompanied by the Holy Spirit, who leads one into all truth by circumcising the heart. Notice the New Covenant Circumcision: Heb 8:10 'For this is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after those days,' says the Lord: 'I will [place My laws into their minds], and [I will inscribe them upon their hearts]; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Theologians argue a vain thing by further proving themselves to be misguided whenever the Sabbath is brought up. They say, ’Oh, Colossians 2:16and Romans 14....’ not understanding the things in which they approve. The Sabbath is only a debate for those unskilled in the word.

@@umabrijmohun6720 No, it was the Roman Catholic Church that was established on the doctrine of Christ's resurrection, but the true worshippers of God are founded by the blood of the Lamb and the seal of the living God. The blood takes away the sin, while the seal, composed of three articles (The Testimony of Jesus, The Law of God and, The Holy Spirit), bears witness to us who are being saved. It's written there in Romans 8:7 that “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God; neither indeed can it be.” For this very reason, carnal Christians are considered babes, but not lost until the end of probation. They are told not to observe the seventh-day Sabbath because it is a burden that belongs in the Old Testament and never to be undertaken as if it was a command to become slaves to sin and death. It's clear to me that “the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in US, who are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Jesus does it for us and helps us to do the same.

Hello Sola 1.Jesus has the Title Michael. This doctrine was handed to us SDA by Methodist and other Protestant teachers. I believe I answered this before. Michael Arch Angel In the Old Testament, the pre-incarnate Jesus appears from time to time. He is give different titles. This is recognized by all Protestant Scholars. Michael is argued about. Most say it is just an angel. Has nothing to do with Jesus. Others say it is an Angel that angel is Jesus. Which makes Jesus an angel. Some say they are not sure. But another group which includes Seventh day Adventist teach that it is a title of the Pre-Incarnate Jesus who is not an angel except as it means messenger. That Jesus the Christ is GOD. But that Michael is one of his pre-incarnate names. Now this view takes out of the cult category since it agrees with the Trinity. You can say we are wrong. I think we are right. But since it is not calling Jesus an angel. We maintain and stay in the Trinity believing Christian Theology. "The earlier Protestant scholars usually identified Michael with the pre-incarnate Christ, finding support for their view, not only in the juxtaposition of the 'child' and the archangel in Rev 12, but also in the attributes ascribed to him in Daniel ." -- John A. Lees, The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, 1930, Vol. 3, page 2048. The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia: 2. The Bible teaches we will be judged. Why are you saying this is false? 2Corithians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 2Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 3. There is more than one seal mentioned in the Bible. We consider the Sabbath to be a seal on the Ten Commandments since it names who the giver of the law is. So which seal are you speaking of? 4. Are you saying he is not. Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 1John 2:1,2My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 13. @@CoffeeCrazy FALSE TEACHING # 2: SABBATH-KEEPING Seventh-day Adventism says that the sabbath was given to Adam in the Garden of Eden and that God intended for all men to keep it. “God instituted the Sabbath in Eden; and so long as the fact that He is our Creator continues to be a reason why we should worship Him, so long the Sabbath will continue as its sign and memorial. ... The keeping of the Sabbath is a sign of loyalty to the true God” (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p. 386). Adventism says that Jesus and the apostles kept the sabbath and that it is binding upon all Christians. “... from this it is evident that all Ten Commandments are binding in the Christian dispensation, and that Christ had no thought of changing any of them. One of these commands is the observance of the seventh day as the Sabbath...” (Bible Footlights, p. 37). “The example of Jesus is clear and consistent. His custom was a Sabbath-keeping custom. ... Yet in spite of this, we find a strange situation in the world today. For though we have the same Christ as our example, the same Bible as our guide, yet we find two Sabbath days kept by Christians...” (George Vandeman, Planet in Rebellion, p. 277). They claim that Christians kept the sabbath until the fourth century when Constantine changed the law and forced churches to worship on Sunday. “Constantine was the Roman emperor. He was a sun worshiper, but he was also a keen politician. He wanted to please everybody. It was while still a pagan that he decreed that all government offices should be closed upon the first day of the week-’the venerable day of the sun.’ The church, which had now been established in Rome, had been quick to see the temporal advantage of compromise with paganism ... so it was that after a few brief years, when Sunday had gained a foothold, the Roman church in the Council of Laodicea set aside the clear command of God and decreed the change from the seventh to the first day of the week” (Planet in Rebellion, p. 290). WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS 1. The sabbath, though mentioned in Genesis 2:2-3, was not delivered to man until it was given to Israel in the wilderness (Nehemiah 9:13-14). Ellen White added to Scripture when she taught that Adam and the patriarchs kept the sabbath. 2. The sabbath was not given to mankind in general, but to Israel alone as a special sign between her and God (Ex. 31:13, 17). If the sabbath had been kept by mankind from the creation, it could not have been given as a special sign to Israel. 3. The New Testament teaches that the believer is not bound by the sabbath law. See Colossians 2:16-17. 4. The sabbath was a type of salvation. “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his” (Heb. 4:9-10). As God rested on the seventh day from His work of creation, the believer today rests in the completed work of Christ. In order to enter into God’s rest, a person must accept God’s work and must cease from his own work (Jn. 6:28-29). Salvation must be accepted as God’s gift. 5. Jesus kept the sabbath because He was born under the law to fulfill the demands of the law. See Galatians 4:4-5. The Lord Jesus made Himself a servant and was born under the law of Moses that He might redeem sinners from the curse of the law and bring them into the eternal liberty of sonship. 6. It cannot be proven that the apostle Paul and the early churches observed the sabbath. It is true that Paul met in the synagogues on the sabbath in order to preach to the Jews assembled there, but this does not mean that he observed the sabbath. According to the Bible, the reason Paul visited synagogues on the sabbath was to preach the gospel. Paul’s desire was to preach Christ. He was burdened for his own people, the Jews. So he went where the Jews were to preach Christ to them. Consider Acts 13:14-44; 16:13-14; 17:2-4; 18:4. 7. There is much evidence in the Bible and elsewhere that the early Christians met and worshiped on the first day rather than on the sabbath. On the first day Jesus rose from the dead (Mk. 16:9). On the first day Jesus first appeared to his disciples (Mk. 16:9). On the first day Jesus met with the disciples at different places (Mk. 16:9-11; Mt. 28:8-10; Lk. 24:34; Mk. 16:12-13; Jn. 20:19-23). On the first day Jesus blessed the disciples (Jn. 20:19). On the first day Jesus imparted to the disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit (Jn. 20:22). On the first day Jesus commissioned the disciples to preach the gospel (Jn. 20:21; with Mk. 16:9-15). On the first day Jesus ascended to Heaven, was seated at the right hand of the Father, and was made Head of all (Jn. 20:17; Eph. 1:20). On the first day the gospel of the risen Christ was first preached (Lk. 24:34). On the first day Jesus explained the Scriptures to the disciples (Lk. 24:27, 45). On the first day the Holy Spirit descended (Acts 2:1). Pentecost was on the 50th day after the sabbath following the wave offering (Le. 23:15-16). Thus, Pentecost was always on a Sunday. The Christians met to worship on the first day (Acts 20:6-7; 1 Cor. 16:2). Since those days, the vast majority of Christians have met to worship on the first day of the week. They do this in honor of the resurrection of their Savior. Christ was in the tomb on the sabbath and rose as the firstborn from the dead on the first day. The sabbath signifies the last day of the old creation (Gen. 2:2). Sunday is the first day of the new creation. 8. Sunday is not the sabbath. Bible-believing Christians do not observe the sabbath by assembling on Sunday. The New Testament believer is redeemed from the obligations of the Law of Moses. Romans 14:1-13 and Colossians 2:16 clearly state that believers are not to be judged in respect to holy days. The Galatians’ respect of holy days caused the apostle Paul to fear that they were not even saved! See Galatians 4:10-11, 20. 9. The idea that Sunday observance will be the mark of the beast is not found in Scripture. This idea came from Ellen White. It is true that the Antichrist will “think to change times and laws” (Daniel 7:25), yet nowhere does the Bible say that this will involve the sabbath or Sunday. The Bible does not reveal exactly what laws the Antichrist will change.
A common error in the Sabbath-keeping debate is the concept that the Sabbath was the day of worship. Groups such as the Seventh Day Adventists hold that God requires the church service to be held on Saturday, the Sabbath day. That is not what the Sabbath command was. The Sabbath command was to do no work on the Sabbath day (Exodus 20:8-11). Yes, Jews in Old Testament, New Testament, and modern times use Saturday as the day of worship, but that is not the essence of the Sabbath command. In the book of Acts, whenever a meeting is said to be on the Sabbath, it is a meeting of Jews and/or Gentile converts to Judaism, not Christians. When did the early Christians meet? Acts 2:46-47 gives us the answer, “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” If there was a day that Christians met regularly, it was the first day of the week (our Sunday), not the Sabbath day (our Saturday) (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2). In honor of Christ’s resurrection on Sunday, the early Christians observed Sunday not as the “Christian Sabbath” but as a day to especially worship Jesus Christ. Is there anything wrong with worshiping on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath? Absolutely not! We should worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday! Many churches today have both Saturday and Sunday services. There is freedom in Christ (Romans 8:21; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:1). Should a Christian practice Sabbath-keeping, that is, not working on Saturdays? If a Christian feels led to do so, absolutely, yes (Romans 14:5). However, those who choose to practice Sabbath-keeping should not judge those who do not keep the Sabbath (Colossians 2:16). Further, those who do not keep the Sabbath should avoid being a stumbling block (1 Corinthians 8:9) to those who do keep the Sabbath. Galatians 5:13-15 sums up the whole issue: “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.”
Acts also tells us, that Paul argued in the synagogues and preached to Jews and Gentiles on the Sabbath. And we can't use Acts 20:7 to say, that Sunday was something special, because breaking bread was a daily habit, not just on Sunday. It just so happened, that this story happened on a Sunday. But the Biblical day goes from sunset to sunset. So it is completely possible, that they met on the Sabbath and then, after sunset, when the Sabbath was over and the first day began on Saturday evening, Paul was still preaching, and he wanted to depart on Sunday morning. Also, Leviticus 23:2 calls the Sabbath a day of a holy convocation. But 1. Corinthians 16:2 doesn't mention the convocation. I could imagine it like this, but there are probably better interpretations: The early Christians worked from Sunday to Friday. Then, they rested and worshipped together on the Sabbath and didn't spend their time with the money. Then, when the Sabbath was over, they would start collecting and setting aside money. But whatever 1. Corinthians 16:2 really means, it is a very weak text for arguing, that the Sabbath was abolished or changed to Sunday. At the very best, it would make Sunday a voluntary day, but it would not at all lift the Sabbath.

St. Paul went to the Synagogue (Jewish house of worship in the diaspora) to convert them and preach the Good News that salvation has come into the world. The old law could not save anyone. Jews and Chriatians were not on speaking terms and would not have worshiped together.
Andrew Hudson so a person doesn’t have to be born again? A person has to go to church on Saturday to be saved? Or do they have to be born again and go to Church on Saturday? Yes your position is ridiculous
Amber Taillon Ridiculous maybe? Can I ask.... what is your interpretation of “born again”? I don’t think the thief on the cross was “born again”, but Christ indicated that he will be saved. I don’t think there is anything in scripture which states that we must go to church on Saturday/Sabbath. However, we are supposed to rest on the Sabbath day, to spend our time focusing and reflecting on God’s glory. The Sabbath was put into place before the foundation of this world. Therefore, it transcends us mere humans. We are told to keep His commandments, which I believe includes the keeping of the true Sabbath, unless we want to abide by Constantine’s changed laws.
Works based salvation = Romans 9:30-33 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Salvation has nothing to do with one saved. Loving God and neighborhood is still required because it’s obedience through LOVE. You would keep the commandments if you love God and neighbours. All Ten!
@@tdickensheets If you want to sin willfully, you can do that. But Hebrews 10:26 tells us, that willful sin carries heavy consequences. If we carry on in willful sin, we will not escape the judgement. By rebelling against the Sabbath, you are not rebelling against the Sabbathkeeper, who warns you of the consequence, but you are rebelling against God, who said "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy." It was important enough for him to write it in stone.
For the "First Day of the Week" to be part of the New Covenant" it would have had to be brought into it BEFORE IT WAS RATIFIED WITH JESUS' DEATH"! Once a "will, covenant, contract is ratified or signed YOU CANNOT ADD TO IT OR TAKE AWAY FROM IT. Can you, or anyone, give us one verse where Jesus even used the phrase "First (Day) of the Week" either BEFORE or AFTER HIS DEATH? No Sabbatarian whom I know is judging people for supposedly "keeping Sunday" we are just showing how God/YHWH judges this matter. None of the texts he uses states that Sunday was a replacement for Sabbath which God Himself would have had to do, since the promise of the New Covenant YHWH says He would put His law in the believers hearts and minds. Sunday was never indicated to be part of His Law. All the "early church" comments about the First Day of the Week are irrelevant, since God the Father nor the Son instituted it to replace Sabbath. Paul even warned that after his departure men would come in with 'false doctrines". So since Jesus is not the "author" of this practice, He is not the AUTHOR AND FINISHED OF YOUR FAITH. Your are keeping the "commandments and doctrines of men"! FYI: Sin is the transgression of God's law.
@mbrown6837 I gave a sermon on it, and it's uploaded for your review. Basically, Jewish-Christian believers tried to force the Law of Moses on Gentile believers, BUT the Holy Spirit came down on the Gentiles.... so how can that be? ... well, because the Law and the Prophets say so.
Lol I’m sure that’s what the Israelites claimed and quoted just like you out of context Exodus 33:14 and then were punished by being taken captive by Babylon for breaking Sabbath.
That was an interesting debate. I had heard about this issue in the church for some time now, and after hearing this, I felt it necessary to become more acquainted with the whole issue better, and know the truth of the matter for myself. I have to say, I was quite surprised at my finding initially, however, the above quotes have forever settled the question for me. I hope these bless the reader as well, God bless
Colossians 2 16 isnt talking about the Sabbath. Its talking about the festivals in Leviticus 23. Notice how in Leviticus 23 the Sabbath is set apart by itself and comes before "These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times" not AFTER. When Christ died all the feasts ceased not the sabbath. Jesus said Sabbath was made for man. Not Jew. MAN. Jesus rested with Adam on the 7th day. And sanctified the Sabbath at creation not for the old Jewish law. If the Sabbath isnt to be observed then why did Jesus say in Matthew 24:20 To pray your flight not to be on the Sabbath? The temple was destroyed in 70 AD 40 years after Christ died on the cross. So 40 years later he still excepted Christians to follow the Sabbath. Our whole creation is revolved around the Sabbath. The world is almost 6k years old and we are in the end times. Bible says a day is like a thousand years to the lord. The 1k reign of Christ is a break before God makes a new new heaven and earth. If you add 6k to with 1k that equals 7k. 7 In the book of revelation means completeness. Read the 3 angels messages in revelation. The first message parallels the Sabbath commandment in Exodus. Do you think that is a coincidence? Its ironic how the Sabbath is the only commandment that starts with "remember" and its the one that everyone forgets. Jesus says hes the lord of the Sabbath. All the apostles kept the Sabbath and Jesus kept it. There is not 1 scripture in the NT that has done away with the Sabbath. If thats not enough for you then why does it say in Revelation that John saw the ark of the covenant? If you want to learn more about the Sabbath I suggest you go to SabbathTruth (dotcom). God cares how you worship. Remember how he wasnt satisfied with Cains way of worship but was with Abels. It may seem trivial to us but God cares. Christians need to stop worshipping on sun god day. I hope this helps and God bless

When a day is mentioned in connection with the appearances of the risen Lord Jesus, it is always the first day of the week. Look at the extremely important events that occurred in the life of the first followers of Christ on the first day of the week. 1). Jesus startled them by appearing to them on the first day (John 20:19). 2). Jesus received worship from Thomas (John 20:27-28). 3). Sunday evening Jesus took bread and blessed it and broke it and gave it to His disciples evidently like He had in instituting the communion meal (Luke 22:19) and their "eyes were opened and they recognized Him" (Luke 24:31). 4). Sunday evening Jesus blessed His disciples twice saying "Peace be with you" (John 20:20; 26). 5). That same Sunday evening Jesus "...breathed on them and said, 'receive the Holy Spirit'" John 20:22. 6). On Sunday evening Jesus gave His disciples the ecclesiastical authority to proclaim forgiveness to those who believe in Him through the Gospel (John 20:23).

In which ground do you say, Sunday is the Lord's Day? Did Jesus say Sunday is His day or in anywhere of the Bible says that Sunday is Lord's day? What is Lord's day according to the Jesus? Mark 2:28." THEREFORE THE SON OF MAN IS LORD ALSO OF THE SABBATH." See Matthew 12:8. Luke 6:5. Revelation 1:10." I WAS IN THE SPIRIT ON THE LORD'S DAY." This Lord's day is Sabbath day according to the Jesus himself. Do We Need Ten Commandments or Not? Why I and you need Jesus? Answer me any one who read my comment.
Are you certain you understand the text yourself? In verse 17 he says "These were a shadow of things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ." Why would this be a response to Pagans critiquing Christians for observing these things? Wouldn't he have affirmed the value of these practices as opposes to pointing out that the real substance of these things are found in Christ? And not mention that the practices themselves were just shadows? Hebrews drives home the point that the old is done away with, that we have a better covenant and savior in place. That all of these OT laws and practices pointed forward to our Lord Jesus.

Hebrews 8:8-10 But God finds fault with his people when he says, “The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will draw up a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 9 It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. @@godloves9163 Questions for Sabbatarians on worship Matt. 2:11: “And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” Was this the Sabbath? There were numerous times Jesus received worship from his disciples not once does it mention what day it was. We can assume many of these days were not the Sabbath since they were not congregated in the temple. Matt. 8:2: “And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Was this the Sabbath? Matt. 9:18: “While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” Was this the Sabbath? Matt. 14:33: “Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him” Can you prove all of these were on Saturday only, If not then they were breaking the commandment. Matt. 28:1: “Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn.” Now after - in the end (referring to the Sabbath) Greek word is compose from the same as 3694 (through the idea of backwardness); (adverbially) late in the day; by extension, after the close of the day: First in Greek: mia means one or first:, it is applied to the first day AFTER the SABBATH, the first day of the week (which is Sunday). Matt. 28:1: “Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb…v:9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshipped Him. This was on a Sunday the first day of the week - the resurrection day. If worshipping was not allowed on Sunday, Jesus would have rebuked them! But he didn't. Considering that this is right after the resurrection would be a right time to set them straight on worship days, but nothing is said. Matt. 28:17: “When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.” A new way to worship is established, as Jn.4:24 says to “worship in spirit and in truth,” not just on a certain day. It no longer was a certain day or place but in truthfulness from the heart not from the rituals of the law. We can now come boldly before his throne of grace. Luke 24:13-: “Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? V:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. This means it was the Sunday the day of resurrection. ...: But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, …V.36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you” V:52 And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, on a day which certainly seems to be Sunday or during the week, not on the Sabbath! V:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.” Not just on the Sabbath but continually. Are we to believe that when Sunday came they left the temple and no one was inside? Jesus received worship from Thomas (John 20:27-28). If we go back to v. 19 we find "Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week," Jesus did not stop the disciples from worshiping him, he accepted it. We then read in John 20:26 "And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them." Thomas sees the risen Lord and one of the greatest statements of worship is spoken, v.28 "My Lord and my God!" What Sabbatarians want us to believe is that we can worship any day, but Saturday is the official day and Sunday is forbidden! Where does it ever say this? Are we to believe we can congregate every day except Sunday! When sins are listed in the New Testament not once is Sabbath keeping listed. (Example: Galatians 5:19-21 has a list of 15 sins.) The neglect of Sabbath keeping is never condemned as sin in the New Testament. Acts 2:1: “Now when the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.” This in relation to psalm 133 the brethren dwells together in unity, this is an assembly of worship and reading the scriptures. This was on a Sunday! This is the day when he first appeared after the resurrection so they continued in remembrance of him. Are we to believe that they were were disobeying him by worshipping on the wrong day and God filled with the Holy Spirit! Jesus' resurrection appearance prompted the Church to change the day of gathering from the Sabbath to Sunday for numerous reasons. Most importantly, Israel as a nation stayed in unbelief, they as individual Jews now believed. The separation of Judaism from its old dispensation was a necessity since the gospel was now centered on the death and the resurrection of Christ. Israel continued to keep all the days the sacrifices and the kosher foods as obligation to the law. The Church learned her new found freedom from the Old Testament law covenant to keep anything from the Old Testament covenant as a choice. It was Joshua who said after the law was given, “choose you this day who you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” According to the Sabbatarian interpretations this would read more like on this day only we serve, we will serve on the Sabbath. Joshua's point was for Israel to make a decision that day if they will serve God, not which day they will worship. When the Samaritan woman said to Jesus: Our fathers worship on this mountain and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship. Jesus said to her “but the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the father in Spirit and truth.” meaning that our heart will be free to worship at any time in the correct way. It's not the place we worship, nor the day, otherwise we would need to go to the temple still (not a church).

These judgments being imposed upon them were according to the doctrines and commandments of men. Context, context, context. Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Now concerning the Sabbath, the ten commandments was not done away with! The ten commandments was magnified! When something is magnified, magnification does not take something away! The ten commandments was written on our hearts! V Isa 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. 2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; NOT IN TABLES OF STONE, BUT IN FLESHY TABLES OF THE HEART. We Christians are spiritually connected with the Jews! Therefore the ten commandments is written on our heart! V Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the SEVENTH DAY on this wise, AND GOD DID REST THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS. Heb 4:9 THERE REMAINETH THEREFORE A REST TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD.Heb 4:10 FOR HE THAT IS ENTERED INTO HIS REST, HE ALSO HAS CEASED FROM HIS OWN WORKS, AS GOD DID FROM HIS.Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. The ten commandments is THE LAW OF LIBERTY! The ten commandments was seen in heaven! God will judge all men by the ten commandments! V Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, AND THERE WAS SEEN IN HIS TEMPLE THE ARK OF HIS TESTAMENT: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. The moral law still stands which is the Ten commandments! V Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Mat 19:17 ...But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.Mat 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness.Mat 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.Jas 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. Rom 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet. Paul was talking about the book of law! The book of law contained ceremonial Sabbath days, also ceremonial holy day, also ceremonial meat and drink offerings! Those Jews who converted to Jesus, they had no longer to keep the book of law! Those Jews who were against Jesus, they were still keeping the book of law! The Sadducees and the Pharisees were judging those who had converted to Jesus, concerning the book of law. Now that is why Paul said to the converted, let no man judged you! The book of law was blotted out! V Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.James 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. James 2:12 SO SPEAK YE, AND SO DO, AS THEY THAT SHALL BE JUDGED BY THE LAW OF LIBERTY.
4th Commandment: Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. - Don't confuse gathering together with the Sabbath. It's a commandment, plain and simple. If you decide not to follow the commandments, whatever..but don't confuse the issue. It's pretty straight forward. "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" - Jesus
Lets just jumpto the end shall we? Rev 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. End of book..game over. Commandments of God. Your arrogance, name calling, and general egotistical attitude prevents me from further discussion. You have made up your mind and your greed/doctrine will not change, so have a nice day. You'll figure it out some day - at least you're reading.
"Shove it up your atheist and arrogant ass" HAHAHAHA I knew you we're waiting for that. Now you can feel totally justified in your comments.! Holier than thou, NAILED you! Yay for you. Feel better oh self righteous one? By their fruits....By their fruits...Your fruits are rotten.By their fruits... let that sink in.You condemn me because you hate what you see in the mirror.
1st - Holier than thou - Check (re-read all your posts)2nd - I'm not led by the spirit - Check (I cheated, that's a given, knew you'd say it, people like you always do)I nailed you. You can't help yourself, it's ok to lash out. This ENTIRE conversation all because you don't believe in the 10 commandments and want to worship on Sunday. Wow..the lengths people go to. Just out of curiosity, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_denominationsWhich one are you? Not that it matters, but you have been condemning me on EVERY one of your posts, "Let him without sin cast the first stone". How many stones have you thrown? No, I'm not a scholar, and Peter was a fisherman, Luke was a doctor, Matthew was a tax collector. Your very first statement to my existence was "You are naive and ignorant sir". From then on your character has gone downhill. You would've said that to Matthew, Luke, Peter, Paul and all of them, probably Jesus himself. Jesus had a few words about people like that...something about whitewashed on the outside but full of dead men's bones. I have an advantage - Atheist/Ex-Christian. What's your excuse? Are you one like me? It seems so....
You can't find it, anymore than you can find it written that Saturday is the Lord's Day. The phrase only appears in Revelation 1:10, and it does not tell us which day it is. However, in the historical sources from the time, the phrase "Lord's Day" is always attributed to the first day of the week. So a Christian reading Revelation at that time would have understood it to mean the first day of the week. Hence it was unnecessary for John to specify which day it was.
The church worshiped on the first day of the week. Hebrews 10 : 25, Acts 20 : 7, 1 Corinthians 16 : 1 and 2. Acts 2 says the believers met every day. The Sabbath is the last day of the week.
The Catholic Church says... Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. "The Day of the Lord" (dies Dominica) was chosen, not from any directions noted in the Scriptures, but from the Church's sense of its own power. The day of resurrection, the day of Pentecost, fifty days later, came on the first day of the week. So this would be the new Sabbath. People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy. Source: Sentinel, Pastor's Page (Fr. Leo Broderick), Saint Catherine Catholic Church, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995. Now.. Read Revelation 12:17!!
The RCC's claim to change the sabbath is absurdly false. It's true they made the claim, but christian history from 100ad to 300ad prove them wrong. Sunday was being used before the RCC. Those who believe the claim to be true need a good dose of christian history. Early christian documentation say there was a distinct difference between the 7th day jewish sabbath and the first day sunday Lord's Day. Do some research before believing what the RCC and the SDA church tells you.
What nonsense. SDAs love their church’s custom history. I see them constantly espousing it. Roman Catholicism was a development over time. You guys really need to study actual church history. Not by reading “The Great Controversy” but actual church history. Primary sources. Roman Catholicism as you guys claim of it, didn’t exist until roughly the 7th century. Prior to that, there was a ton of change going on in the church at Rome (and even past then, but it radically changed in the 7th century). Justin Martyr wrote in his apologies of meeting in “Sunday” or “The Lords Day”. 2nd century. Prior to Roman Catholicism even existing. You guys love to claim that “Constantine changed the sabbath” which is hilarious seeing as Constantine wasn’t the Bishop of Rome. He wasn’t a “pope”. He was the Emperor of Rome who professed the Christian faith. This is arguably where Romes infusion with politics really began. Prior to Constantine there were real ebbs and flows in the churches influence and impact. Much was persecution. But for an Emperor to legitimize your religious holidays and to recognize Christianity as a state recognized religion would have been a really big deal considering the centuries of persecution prior. Constantine didn’t “change the sabbath”. He declared that the Roman Empire would no longer persecute Christian’s but granted them the same privileges afforded by the state. Christian’s we’re already meeting on Sunday. That’s why it was recognized that Sunday was “the Lords Day”. You guys really need to get out of your echo chamber and really examine actual church history. Rome has indeed apostatized, but you guys regurgitate their same falsehoods and claims. When you say these things you actually affirm the same falsehoods Rome tries to make. Like that they go all the way back to Peter. Again, history shows Roman Catholicism was a development over time. It can not be traced back to Peter. Paul had already taken the gospel to and planted churches in both the East and the West in his Epistles. Rome did not rule the entire East and west. Thus, the church was not completely united underneath an episcopate at Rome. At least not that can be actually documented in the 1st-3rd centuries. Even then, you still see major developments taking place as Romanism develops through the centuries. They weren’t apostate as far back at SDAs like to tell people. The point being, Christian’s have always worshiped on Sunday. I know Ellen told you in the Great Controversy that there was a small remnant throughout all of church history that’s kept the sabbath as it’s been this shining test for all of Gods true people, but you’ve been scammed. Read the primary sources from history yourself. Justin Martyr isn’t the only patristic father who talked of Lords Day Sunday. Even Ellen admits this, but tries dismissing it as “a day of recreational, choosing to worship”. Everyone was supposedly still keeping the sabbath, but also recreationally worshiping on Sunday.
I don't support Ellen White's understanding of the Sabbatarian doctrine, but the presenter has done what I consider to be the WEAKEST job of refuting that doctrine. He cannot find a Biblical basis for his claim, so he is doing exactly what Ellen White and her cohorts did -- stringing a couple verses which are unrelated, and padding it up with some historical information. That's very very disappointing. I am as disappointed in this video more than I have been in the SDA Sabbath doctrine.
Your verbatim theory is pathetic. There is no Bible verse that states Shabbat ended on a certain day. You have to study in a contextual manner. Parr is one of the last people to listen to about anything. Colossians 2 is one of the most important scriptures in holy writ. Jewish festivals are described as a shadow of the substance that is in Christ. After stating that the writ of legal indebtedness that was against sinners had been nailed to the cross, Paul proclaims that because of the wiping away of the legal debt, and forgiveness of sin, no believer must ever allow a pompous Pharisee Adventist cultist to judge them, or disqualify them, in regard to Jewish ritual shadow laws. The appointed feast of Shabbat naturally and organically faded away as the Jewish converts to Christianity realized their cultural rituals are meaningless in the new covenant. Gentile believers were never under Hebrew law, and once the Jerusalem council settled the matter of Pharisee converts whining that gentiles should be forced to be circumcised and to obey Mosaic law, the Hebrew rituals faded away. Their purpose was complete. Holy writ is overwhelming with evil starting in Jeremiah 31, that a new day was coming and a new way to live and relate to God was coming. A new king - priest, a new covenant based upon better promises, and a new law, the law of Christ. Was that an adequate explanation for you?
'Catholic Record' September 1 1923 "Sunday is our MARK of authority....The church is above the bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." ☝️ Blasphemy! Protestants who claim to keep Sunday holy are wondering after the beast and your claim of Sola scriptura is made in vain.
The church did ultimately borrow from Romanism the heretical doctrine of monogamy only. We can see this, because the earliest pronouncements against polygyny came in the second century, and they all originated from leaders who had come out of Greco-Roman society. Scripture is clear that polygyny is not wrong Psalms 18:21-24. Know that at the time David wrote this under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he had not taken Bathsheba, nor had he killed Uriah, nor had he numbered the troops, but he did have three wives, and yet, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he clearly wrote that he had not sinned.
I guard my mind to a preacher that can’t identify between Moses law and GOD’s law…ceremonial sabbaths of Moses and weekly Sabbath of GOD. You still have time to repent for doing away GOD’s law.2 Peter 3:26 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
@@warren88olen37 Two laws given, GOD’s law which defines sin and Moses law which defines punishment for sin. Jesus took the sacrificial system of Moses to the cross.

But they put the Book of Moses on the outside of the Ark. And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. The Greek phrase for “the first day of the week” throughout the NT is “mian tōn Sabbatōn,” literally, “First of the Sabbaths,” and is used only AFTER the resurrection of Christ. (Matt. 28:1; Mk. 16:2,9; Lk.24:1; Jn. 20:1,19; Acts 20:7; 1Cor. 16:2.) Undoubtedly it is a semitic idiom, but nevertheless, if something is “first” in a category, then it is part of that category. In other words, “Sunday” is ALWAYS called a Sabbath in the New Testament.
Mark 2:28 King James Version (KJV) 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.....THE SABBATH IS A DAY AND JESUS IS THE LORD OF THAT DAY WHO IS OUR JUDGE,FOR WE WOULD NOT JUDGE YOU BUT INFORM YOU.isaiah 58:13 THE LORD SAYS,If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:SO MR MAN YOU HAVE NO BIBLICAL PROOF OR EVIDENCE THAT THE LORD'S DAY IN REV 1:10 IS SUNDAY AND BASING IT ON THE LAST SUPPER IS STRETCHING FOR STRAWS,STOP LEADING PEOPLE BLINDLY ALONG WITH YOURSELF
This proves that the Vatican didn't start Sunday worship for the church. It is something that was started way earlier. This sends to the fire the entire eschatology of Adventists.
...sunday was always the "great" day pagans worshiped their gods, long before Jesus walked the earth in our fallen flesh. The Father declared Saturday His day at the end of the first week of creation and sanctified it then (Ge 2:1-3). Hebrews 4:1-11 and Rv 22:14 tell us that the full Decalogue is still in force as it will be for the ceaseless ages. 1Jn 3:4 defines sin as the transgression of the Law. Since Christ nailed the ceremonial laws (ordinances) to His cross (Col 2:14), it stands to reason the Law John is speaking of is the Decalogue (precepts). James says to break one is to break them all (Jas 2:8-12) and Christ, who came not to change one jot or tittle of the Law, says anyone who breaks one of and teaches others to break the least of these commandments will forfeit the prize... History confers that on March 7, AD321, the papacy through Constantine changed God's sanctified day of worship, Saturday, to sunday, the pope's day. This is in the historical record, the catholic church boasts of it.
I felt pity on you, james... becoz you lost the sabbath of God. You follow the celebration of the SUN GOD during sunday... You were the heirs of the Pagan doctrines...child of rome...😰😰😰😰
WRONG ...Dr. White, 1 Cor. 16:1, is not about a church offering, it is about a collection for the Christians in Jerusalem who were experiencing oppression and poverty. Read 2 Cor. 9:4-5 and 2 Cor. 8: 19. You may be an authority on JW's and Mormons but you fall short in this area of understanding. The Sabbath is for everyone since the creation week, and Isa. 65 says we will keep it in heaven. And Rev. 1:10 is the Sabbath and not Sunday see Mark 2:27-8. It takes more than intellect to understand the scripture, it takes a submissive heart that will obey the voice of the Holy Spirit.
@@tdickensheets ..........YOU CAN WORSHIP on any day but Sunday is not the Sabbath but is as important as every other commandment - therefore to reject the Sabbath is sin and no sinner goes to heaven who knows the differerence
@@DavidKing-qd3sp Are you saying you've never broken the Law of God? Have you ever lied, cheated, or stolen? If you have, then you are a sinner whether you think so or not. The laws of God have punishments (a law without a punishment is only a slogan). As a sinner, you are separated from God (Isaiah 59:2). However, God loves you enough not to want you to be separated from Him. He sent Jesus (1 John 4:10) to pay for sins on the cross. So, the only way to have your sins forgiven is to put your trust in Jesus and the sacrifice He made.
falling into sin is not an excuse to stay in sin - we fall then we get up we don't stay in sin - that is called growth or sanctification ...so what is your point?....when you commit adultery do you continue because you once fell...please!...Mr. White does not know his bible though educated....so if you break the sabbath command we do better next time we don't stay down
James R. White... to see your smiling face, so cheerful and happy beside the title: " Ellen White's Sabbatarian Doctrine Refuted", is a conundrum !?! Why do you "happily" refute that which God told us to call a delight? "... and call the Sabbath a DELIGHT, the Holy of the LORD, honorable... " Isaiah 58:13 Isaiah also says that keeping His Sabbath is what makes us "happy" : "HAPPY is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who Keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it... " Is. 56:2 (CSB) Keeping God's Sabbath is Loving Obedience to Christ, our Creator God, whom the Sabbath honors. Maybe you're "happy" because you've found a facile excuse to disobey Christ, ostensibly by the Word of God? Or... maybe you're "happy" because you've found you "own" offering as Cain did ? The Sabbath is Holy to the Lord, James, and we will Love and Honor Him! 💖🤗💖
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. Galatians 5:1-10
Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth ONE DAY above another: another esteemeth EVERY DAY alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth THE DAY, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not THE DAY, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. Now expound under the Light of all scripture! Firstly it was a letter to the church in ROME, where it was LAW to follow the Roman Julian Calendar. So a Roman man might esteem ONE DAY, another man might esteem EVERY DAY. But Paul wants the church in Rome to know that those who regard THE DAY that God has appointed, is regarding God, but those who do not regard THE DAY are not regarding God. Those who eat certain food and drinks for the Lord (like on on Passover) are also regarding the Lord, and those who don't eat anything (like on Day of Atonement), are FASTING exactly as the Lord has instructed in Lev 23. The same author also wrote this... Colossians 2:16 Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a Feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, BUT THE BODY THAT CASTS IT belongs to Christ. The same author also wrote this.... Ephesians 5:30 For WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY Now expound under the Light of all scripture! Knowing that the Roman authority and enemies of God will actively hunt you down (judge you) for eating certain foods and drinks on certain days - don't let any man judge you for obeying Gods instruction regarding eating certain food & drinks on Feast Days, for observing New Moon Days and Sabbath Days, because as MEMBERS OF HIS BODY, it is our duty to continue to cast these shadows as beacons of light to the world. The same author also wrote this... Acts 18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I MUST BY ALL MEANS KEEP THIS FEAST that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus. Now expound under the Light of all scripture! Paul was no hypocrite like Peter at antioch. Paul was given THE GOSPEL by direct revelation from Jesus Christ Himself. Paul knew that it was his duty to observe Gods FEAST days according to THE GOSPEL. Paul was not taught this gospel by any man, except Jesus Himself. The same author also wrote this.... Galatians 4:8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. 9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. 11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. Now expound in the Light of scripture! Paul reminds the members of the church in Galatia that they once were unwitting slaves to demons, by observing days and months to those beings who were not really gods. But now that they had learned the TRUTH about the one true living God and the things that He requires of them, why would they go back to slavery to demons by observing those days again? In fact Paul was so distressed by this activity, because he was afraid of what might happen to them - so it is VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO BELIEVERS! Today modern christians have also fallen away under the same great apostasy, by observing days that have not been appointed by God. People worship demons when they observe Saint Valentines Day, Saint Patricks Day, October Fest, Christmas Day, Easter, Halloween Day, etc.... Worship demons you say? Yes, when we observe any day to anyone except God then that entity is the one whom we worship, and this is specifically warned against in scripture. What christian would knowingly worship a demon? Perhaps none, but virtually everyone if it is a DECEPTION. Remember how Eve was deceived? In fact here again is the warning by John in Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues did not even repent of the works of their hands SO THAT THEY WILL NOT WORSHIP THE DEMONS, and the golden and silver and bronze and stone and wooden idols, which are able neither to see, nor to hear, nor to walk. And so now to Hebrews 4 1 Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it. 2 For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it. 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said:“So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’ ” Now expound in the Light of all scripture! When we receive the GOOD NEWS that God will forgive us our sins, if we repent of them, and BELIEVE by showing that BELIEF by obeying His Commandments, then we enter that rest as described in the 4th Commandment. Those who hear and don't truly believe, well they don't bother to enter Gods Sabbath Day of rest. In fact the very first sentence warns that we should not fall short of entering His appointed rest days (Holy Convocations). 6 Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience, 7 God again designated a certain day as “Today,” when a long time later He spoke through David as was just stated: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience. Now expound in the Light of all scripture! The same day of REST remains until this very day, and some who are still unbelievers fail to enter that rest through disobedience. In Joshua Chapter 24, Joshua reminded the Hebrews who had escaped Egypt of the history of DISOBEDIENCE to Gods Laws, and asked then to renew their vows to OBEY GODS LAWS, and so it was written in the book of Law and placed under the Oak tree on a large stone as a witness against the Hebrews should they turn away from Gods Law and worship other gods on other days, as they had done so in the past back in Egypt. So then we are reminded that it is still Gods Law that we enter into His appointed Sabbath days of rest, so that we imitate God in all things that we do. We are further encouraged to continue to enter into Gods Sabbath Day of rest, so that we do not set an example of DISOBEDIENCE. The days that God has appointed should be very very important to every single person who is a TRUE BELIEVER! In fact it was Jesus who reminded the Disciples at the last supper on Passover, that they should continue to do these things in remembrance of Him. And again it was Jesus who before His ascension into heaven, reminded all of the Disciples the importance of keeping the Day of Pentecost, because that was the day that the Father had PROMISED to send the Holy Spirit. In fact Acts 2 stands as a testimony against anyone who dares to say that the 4th Commandment is no longer valid, or that the Feast Days are no longer important. Now to continue to observe Pentecost, we must first know how to count Sabbaths - 7 of them, according to Lev 23. Before that, we need to know when Firstfruits occurs, and prior to that we need to know when Feast of Unleavened Bread begins, and before that when Passover falls, and before that when the New Moon Day occurs that announces the beginning of a New Year once sufficient Barley would be at a stage of ripeness to call a New Year without having to add another month of Adar 2. What beggars belief, is that supposed christians think that it's ok to completely ignore Gods Calendar of Gen 1:14, and think it's ok to substitute man made calendar from ancient pagan Rome who served demons, even naming some days and months after demons. To even mention those names or have them heard from our lips is an offense to God according to Josh 23:7 & Exodus 23:13. Yet yt preacher after yt christian apologist, is willingly blind to the truth that Gods Calendar is Luni-Solar, and has New Moon Days, Sabbath Days, working Days and Feast Days. It beggars belief that supposed christians cannot see Eze 46:1-3, then Isaiah 66:22-23, and think that somehow it's ok to forget all about this for the in-between time??? But there is a simply reason why Jesus said that the way to Eternal Life is narrow and the gate small, and few that walk that way. And it's because most false teachers, preachers, and yt apologists are willingly ignorant of the truth concerning Created time, and how the Creator instructed us to look up and observe the TIME according to His calendar that He placed into the heaven above. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord - not your privately interpreted false gospel , nor SDA, nor JW's, nor Baptists, nor AOG, nor Pentecostals, nor Calvinists, nor Dispensationalists, nor anyone except Gods Word!
+Christian Anarchist Yeah, I knew it. That really wasn't a full sabbath debate. There was other topics covered up. Can James White do a sabbath debate with an adventist?
I just do not understand are we to keep all 10 of God's commandments, or are we to keep 9, and substitute 1? I just need to understand? Can someone clarify?
The bible declares those who want to live under the Law whic includes the 10 commandmetns are placing themselves under a curse: Galatians 3:10-11 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them." Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for "The righteous shall live by faith."

For all debate purposes: 1. James answers an assertion that he doesnt link to Ellen G. White so this video is a click bait. 2. James points dont show any replacement of Sabbath Saturday with Sunday, only that Christians observed Sunday. 3. I agree with James, theres no such thing as pagan borrowing of paganism. 4. Replacement of Sabbath with Sunday is mentioned with motive In the Canon 29 of the council of Laudicea as being “avoid to judaize…” but to be Christian? 4. This was an important point, A. Because Jews killed Jesus and you look stupid followingf the man you killed. B. Jews were under terrible persecution for the same reason and many more rediculous ones, and so Christianity had to prove to be different. 5. If Sabbath has not explicitly been replaced in scripture in the old testament, which is what the early church had, and the only reason Christians gathered on sunday was to celebrate the resurrection, them not celebrating sabbath does not stand Scripturally as authority to Override Gods Law. 6. The relationship he showed for the connection between Johns the Lords day and Jesus Christ is interesting but really stands far from evidence for the changed Gods Law. 7. Let us remember we are not talking simply about a Jewish tradition, we are talking about Gods Law, and Jesus with His God status said nothing about the changing Sabbath, and yet he addresed every other commandment.
The "Lord's Day" in book of Revelation can only refers to Sabbath. Please don't get it twisted and falsified your claim on Sunday. There is ONLY one day God always claim and talk about, even punish the Jews in the old testament of violating it - which is Sabbath. Therefore, in Revelation when John says The Lord's Day, it's refering to Sabbath. GOD IS UNCHANGEABLE
Did the Torah forbid any kind of drinks? If not, then "do not let any man judge you regarding food and drink" can't refer to the things we eat and drink, but to food and drink offerings, "which were a shadow of things to come". So we are talking about the ceremonial law, not the moral law. So the sabbath days must be the feast of tabernacles, the day of atonement etc. It is true, that the weekly Sabbath is mentioned in Leviticus 23, but why should one of the 10 commandments be a ceremonial commandment, if all the other 9 are obviously moral ones? The 10 commandments were placed in the ark of the covenant, which John saw in Revelation 11:19 in the heavenly temple. Regardless whether this is a literal temple or a spiritual temple, if the ark of the covenant is in the temple and not in the museum, the 10 commandments must still be binding, like James also says in chapter 2:8-13 and like Jesus says in Matthew 22:37-40 and Paul in Romans 13:9. If loving God and loving your neighbour are the biggest commandments, and the 5th - 10th commandment are summarized in loving your neighbour, it logically follows that the first 4 commandments are summarized in loving God. Is loving God an excuse to break them? Of course not, because keeping them is the evidence of loving God, just like keeping the 5th - 10th is evidence of loving your neighbour. You can't say "I can steal from my neighbour as long as I love him", so noone can say "I can break the Sabbath as long as I love God". And using church tradition to argue for changing the Sabbath or abolishing it, seems like a Catholic thing. But even if John received his vision on Sunday (I don't know, if "the Lord's day" was already the Sunday at the time of Revelation or if it became the Sunday later), and even if early Christians gathered on the Sunday to celebrate the resurrection - how would that get rid of the Sabbath? That would only mean that we have a binding day on the Sabbath and a voluntary day on the Sunday. Circumcision was never part of the 10 commandments, yet it was a huge deal when the Apostles told the Gentiles to remain uncircumcised. We can read a lot about this in the Bible. But changing or abolishing one of the 10 commandments would be an even bigger deal, and we have nothing except _maybe_ a few unclear verses about this supposed change of the Sabbath, and none of them clearly changes or abolishes it. Shouldn't the fact that the commandments were written in stone by God himself tell us enough?
@@porfiriojohn5276 Which point of my argument did you refute by expressing your rebellion against the 4th commandment, by saying "God says Sabbath, but I say Sunday; God says creation, but I say resurrection"? Didn't Cain do the same? "God said lamb, but I say crops"?

The Catholic Church has the best explanations because they are Apostolic in their following of His Truths. Was surprised to hear James White defend this much like the Catholic Church. Also the word “catholic “ was used to describe the one “universal” church that was governed by the Bishops of Christianity.

Gud day if you base it on holy week. Jesus is ressurected on sunday.. and matthew 28:1-10 say the day after the sabbath at the dawn of the first day of the week so on so on....... so sabbath is saturday. Because jesus our god ressurected on sunday..
First of all James White is wrong; sunday is NOT the Lord's day. Let's make it clear also that the words Saturday and sunday don't exist in the scriptures. Saturday is called the Seventh Day Sabbath of the Lord and sunday is simply just called the 1st day of the week nothing more. Jesus Himself calls the 7th day Sabbath His Day. Let's make that clear. Let's also make it clear that there are only 8 passages in the New Testament regarding the 1st day of the week and. none of the them call the 1st day the Lord's day nor does it make the 1st day Holy, nor does it make the 1st day as being the new day to keep in honor of Jesus Christ resurrection. If there was anyone who would have made the change to the Sabbath it would be Jesus Christ Himself who spoke the Law and who eventually wrote the Law to be read and in the Law the Sabbath is the only one that starts with the word REMEMBER, because God knew that this is the ONLY COMMANDMENT that points to Jesus as CREATOR. The other weekly sabbaths that were added to the ceremonial laws pointed to Jesus Christ as Savior and when He fulfilled His missions to the cross He made an end to the ceremonial laws that pointed to Him as the Lamb, the Savior. It's an easy doctrine that God made simple to understand, yet you have people like James White who if he continues on this path and dies in that condition will end up on judgment before the court of Jesus Christ and by his own choice be condemned as openly transgressing the Law of God, but even worst, teaching others to openly transgress also, so this means that the James will also carry a portion of the sins of others on himself on judgment day. Never forget people that the Adam, and all the Old Testament people down to the time of Jesus Christ were the gospel preachers of that time and were suppose to teach and preach the first coming of Jesus, and as nation failed in doing so, and when He came they lost that privilege of being the chosen nation and now we today have the privilege of being the chosen to preach and teach of the Christ that has come and is coming again, but also of His Truth and His Eternal Moral Law that was given to not only the Jews but to all the world, but to the Jews first so that they may set an example and give hope to the broken world they lived in. Seventh Day Aventists are the remnant movement with a unique message that can be easily defended, especially the Sabbath of the Lord, the True Lord's Day of Jesus, the day that Jesus Blessed and made Holy way before any Hebrews or Jews were around.
So Sabbath is the Lord's day. It is okay to do so. Rev 1:10 Which is not called the first day of the week. But the Sabbath is the Lord's day. Easy it is the Sabbath given to us by our Lord. So why do you judge Seventh day Adventist.

Jesus, Lord of the sabbath and Mediator of the New Testament, chose not to give the 4th commandment because it was ceremonial, not a moral law, and pointed to him (Colossians 2:16,17). In the next verse Paul advises Christians about judgmental sabbath keepers. It's a ritual with lambs as noted in Numbers 28:9,10. It is an abrogated Hebrew ritual law that pointed to Christ and has nothing to do with the gospel and the gentiles. The commandments of God are the commandments of Christ of which the sabbath is EXCLUDED. The sabbath is a dead work now. Trying to keep it is living under the Old COVENANT and staring down the New, stepping on the grace of Christ. Sabbath keepers of the Jews at that time "killed the LordJesus, and their own prophets..."(1Thessalonians 1:14,15). They murdered Stephen and stoned Paul. Adding to this significance, according to Andrew SDA whistleblower, adventist hospitals have performed thousands of abortions, murdering preborn children. The sabbath keepers are still murdering to this day. This sabbatarian institution has blood on its hands. Pastor and author Billy Crone says SDA is an insidious cult. He said don't walk away, run away. Ellen White has false doctrines like soul sleeping, annihilation, investigative judgment, probation, etc. using terms not found in the Bible.
The Bible NT never referred to the resurrection day as ‘the Lord’s day’. You want to make the book of Revelation look ambiguous as it does not mention the particular day but all prior to that in the Bible context it’s always been the 7th day. You must let Bible translate itself
lol this man has no idea. Ignatius 107 AD said that Christians were observing the Lord's day - sunday The Greek word (hemera‘Day’) is NOT in the epistle. Ignatius did not say “Lord’s day”. The word “day” was added by the translators. The actual text as found in the earliest extant manuscript reads as follows “meketi sabbatizontes alla kata kuriaken zoen zontes.” The normal rendering of this expression (unless a cognitive accusative is intended) would be: “no longer sabbatizing, but living according to the Lord’s life”. “A distinguished patristic scholar, Robert A. Kraft, has provided the following translation of the original Ignatius of the early second century: - “If, then those who walked in the ancient customs [ie the aforementioned prophets] came to have a new hope, no longer ‘sabbatizing’ but living in accord with the Lord’s life- in which there sprang up also our life through him and through his death.” “The Sabbath in Scripture and History” Ed K. Strand. Review and Herald Pub Acc Washington 1982 p 348-349 In 1642 the great British scholar, Bishop James Ussher, published a Latin edition of what are now accepted as the genuine epistles of Ignatius. He used two newly discovered Latin manuscripts, which, in the disputed passage, read, “living according to the Lord’s.” Living according to the Lord’s what? Such constructions in Latin are no cause for concern, for the terse, elliptical form of the language permits the omission of a noun following an adjective, if that noun is used shortly thereafter. In the passage we have “living according to the Lord’s ___ in which also or life sprang up.” Supply the ellipsis with “life,” and the clause reads, “living according to the Lord’s life, in which also our life sprang up.” As a matter of fact, this latter wording is precisely what is found in the original Greek from which the Latin was translated. The Jacobson (1838) and Migne (1894) editions of this Greek manuscript so present it. Lightfoot (1889) omits the word “life” but admits that it occurs in the manuscript. In his 1647 Latin version, prepared after he had consulted the Greek manuscript, which became available in 1646, Ussher renders the passage, “juxta Dominicam vitam agentes,” “according to the Lord’s life living.” Protestant Dilemma”, Richard Lewis, Ph.D. Pacific Press Publishing Association California. 1961. pp 44-45.

Sunday is not the Lord's Day within accordance to the book of Revelations 1:10 where such an man made tradition was deducted by twisting the context presented.John was speaking of the Day of the Lord which is when Jesus returns not a specific day to gather. He was in the Spirit by vision being shown the events of the Day of the Lord to come. It makes no sense to deduct from Revelations 1:10 to refer to acts 20:7 Indeed Paul gathered with others on the first day of the week in order to collect an charity for the jews and instruct the people. But we know from scripture that the Jewish people gathered everyday not just on the first day of the week after Christ resurrected. Acts 2:46 and sense the Apostles are our example to imitate, if the first day was the established day to meet as the "Lord's Day" then such a pattern would have been seen in the beginnings of the Jewish congregation to then be announced as such.

The answer would be from our Lord "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working." SDAs claim that the Roman Catholic church after Constantine in 320 AD changed the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday. This is completely false, because we have at least ten quotes from major church writers from 90 -- 300 AD who all say that the practice of Christians everywhere was to meet on Sunday, not the Jewish Saturday Sabbath. SDAs have no early quotes to show that early Christians met on Saturday.
This false argument originated with the Adventist's inspired prophet E.G. White: "The holy Sabbath looked glorious- a halo of glory was all around it. I saw that the Sabbath commandment was not nailed to the cross. If it was, the other nine commandments were; and we are at liberty to break them all as well as to break the fourth. I saw that God had not changed the Sabbath, for he never changes. But the pope had changed it from the seventh day to the first day of the week; for he was to change times and laws." (Early Writings of Ellen G. White, page 33, official Adventist publication) Again on page 65 of the same book Mrs. White says, "The pope has changed the day of rest from the seventy to the first day." Ellen G. White was a false prophet: Colossians 2:18 "Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by... taking his (her) stand on visions he (she) has seen, inflated without cause by his (Ellen White's) fleshly mind" (NASB) We can PROVE that Ellen White was a false prophet by proving that the Pope (Catholic church) DID NOT change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday! You be the judge! Answer: A. The first Pope did not exist until 606 AD! (over 500 years too late) This is far too late because Christians were meeting on Sundays from the earliest record of history. So Ellen G. White is a false prophet! B. But Adventist's have modified White's argument (corrected the inspired prophet) Listen to what Seventh-day Adventists now teach in their public "Revelation Seminars": "Sundaykeeping was introduced into the Christian Church rather innocently, and its first advocates never dreamed that it would take the place of the seventh-day Sabbath of God. Sundaykeeping had its origin in Rome during the reign of the Emperor Hadrian in the second century. Hadrian persecuted the Jews in Rome incessantly. In an attempt to separate themselves from the Jews and avoid being persecuted with them, these early Roman Christians began keeping Sunday in addition to the Sabbath." Seventh-day Adventists OFFER ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF that Christians in the church in Rome changed the Sabbath! Samuele Bacchiocchi, the Seventh-day Adventist's top scholar wrote in an E-mail message to the "Free Catholic Mailing List" on 8 Feb 1997 and said: I differ from Ellen White, for example, on the origin of Sunday. She teaches that in the first centuries all Christians observed the Sabbath and it was largely through the efforts of Constantine that Sundaykeeping was adopted by many Christians in the fourth century. My research shows otherwise. If you read my essay HOW DID SUNDAYKEEPING BEGIN? which summarizes my dissertation, you will notice that I place the origin of Sundaykeeping by the time of the Emperor Hadrian, in A. D. 135. This proves once and for all time that Ellen G. White was a false prophet!

That word [commonwealth] in Greek is [πολιτεία/politeia]. It denotes the [Citizenship] of a kingdom/[community]. If you're a stranger FROM the covenant of promise, you have nothing to do with its reward (justification/sanctification/glorification).

Michael Arch Angel
In the Old Testament, the pre-incarnate Jesus appears from time to time.
@@CoffeeCrazy FALSE TEACHING # 2: SABBATH-KEEPING
Seventh-day Adventism says that the sabbath was given to Adam in the Garden of Eden and that God intended for all men to keep it.
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS
@@CoffeeCrazy Who should I believe?? James R. White truth or your lies!!
@@tdickensheets You should believe the truth of Scripture!!! Again please kindly answer the question. Thanks

Glad someone said it. 👏
Works based salvation =
Romans 9:30-33 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Matt.
Matt. 14:33: “Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him”
Can you prove all of these were on Saturday only, If not then they were breaking the commandment.
Matt. 28:1: “Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn.”
Now after - in the end (referring to the Sabbath) Greek word is compose from the same as 3694 (through the idea of backwardness); (adverbially) late in the day; by extension, after the close of the day:
First in Greek: mia means one or first:, it is applied to the first day AFTER the SABBATH, the first day of the week (which is Sunday).
We then read in John 20:26 "And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them."
Thomas sees the risen Lord and one of the greatest statements of worship is spoken, v.28 "My Lord and my God!"
What Sabbatarians want us to believe is that we can worship any day, but Saturday is the official day and Sunday is forbidden!
It was Joshua who said after the law was given, “choose you this day who you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”
According to the Sabbatarian interpretations this would read more like on this day only we serve, we will serve on the Sabbath.

If he would have kept reading up to Colossians 2:20-23, he would have seen that the text qualifies its previous statements. These judgments being imposed upon them were according to the doctrines and commandments of men. Context, context, context. The text says "let no one judge you in regard to these things" (concerning these things). The logical next question is, "how exactly were they being judged in regard to these things?". The answer is "according to the doctrines and commandments of men."
Inserting the idea that they wanted to disregard the Sabbath and dietary laws, and were being judged for this, is to read what you want into the text for the sake of hyper-spiritualizing the bacon into your mouth and the making of money on Saturday.

where in the bible can you find it was written that Sunday is the Lord's day?
Where in the bible can you find it is written that sunday church worship is the Mark of the Beast?
You can't find it, anymore than you can find it written that Saturday is the Lord's Day. The phrase only appears in Revelation 1:10, and it does not tell us which day it is. However, in the historical sources from the time, the phrase "Lord's Day" is always attributed to the first day of the week. So a Christian reading Revelation at that time would have understood it to mean the first day of the week. Hence it was unnecessary for John to specify which day it was.
Did you listen to him? He said that it wasn't explicitly said that the Lord's Day was Sunday.
The church worshiped on the first day of the week. Hebrews 10 : 25, Acts 20 : 7, 1 Corinthians 16 : 1 and 2.
Acts 2 says the believers met every day.
The Sabbath is the last day of the week.
🙏 for me.

Solo Scriptura is a self-defeating theological system. As soon as you open your Bible you've refuted it.
That quotation sounds like a forgery.

"HAPPY is the person who does this,
the son of man who holds it fast,
who Keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it... " Is. 56:2 (CSB)
Keeping God's Sabbath is Loving Obedience to Christ, our Creator God, whom the Sabbath honors.
Ephesians 5:30 For WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY
Now expound under the Light of all scripture!
And so now to Hebrews 4
1 Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it. 2 For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it. 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said:“So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’ ”
Now expound in the Light of all scripture!

I just do not understand are we to keep all 10 of God's commandments, or are we to keep 9, and substitute 1?
I just need to understand?
Can someone clarify?
We are not under the Law of Moses period. This includes the ten commandments. We are under the Law of Christ.
The bible declares those who want to live under the Law whic includes the 10 commandmetns are placing themselves under a curse:
Galatians 3:10-11 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them." Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for "The righteous shall live by faith."
AcademyApologia No true Christian RELIES on the Decalogue. For that would be WORKS BASED SALVATION/JUSTIFICATION
Just as the Ten led to the need of Christ, the Spirit leads us to obedience by writing the law in our heart. We know where our worship must be: In Spirit and Truth
New Covenant Luke 22:20
Sabbath immediately after new covenant confirmed by the death/blood on the cross Luke 23:56
God’s Laws are different from the written laws of Moses aka handwritten ordinances.

For all debate purposes:
4. This was an important point,
Oops I opened the wrong door . Catholic answers is down the hall and to the right ;)
I like my fair share of Catholic Answers and James White, haha
Alexander Du hehe yea same here Alexander lol
The "Lord's Day" in book of Revelation can only refers to Sabbath. Please don't get it twisted and falsified your claim on Sunday.
There is ONLY one day God always claim and talk about, even punish the Jews in the old testament of violating it - which is Sabbath.
Therefore, in Revelation when John says The Lord's Day, it's refering to Sabbath. GOD IS UNCHANGEABLE
Isn't Revelation 1: 10 talking about the day of Jesus' second coming not day of His resurrection?
Yes
The second coming had not occurred yet, so it must refer to His resurrection.
That is what I believe. The OT calls the day of judgment the Day of teh Lord, I think that John was implying that.

You are arguing against a straw man. No Adventist is telling Christians to worship God on the Sabbath only. But we do say, that the Sabbath is the holy day, and we should do no unneccessary work on it.
The Catholic Church has the best explanations because they are Apostolic in their following of His Truths.
Was surprised to hear James White defend this much like the Catholic Church.
Also the word “catholic “ was used to describe the one “universal” church that was governed by the Bishops of Christianity.
Lords day is the Sabbath day. Mark.2:28 ISA.58:13 Nowhere in your bible that Sunday was the lords day.
Errol Ducase which is why we go to the extra biblical early church days before Nicea to show how they viewed this term Lord’s Day and how it was distinct from Sabbath. If they wanted to refer to sabbath, they would’ve just said that. Not Lord’s Day.
Errol Ducase the sabbath is correct but the sda church is not God true church

There is no commandment linked to sunday . Lords day is not sunday , sunday is resurrection day no commandment saying to assymble that day its just an speculation. Referring to the lord's day is when jesus second coming is a day of the lord , and sabbath day is a holy day of the lord so many referrence from the bible .

Following Christ command and have faith in Him is not a cult but the jews they obseverve the sabbath or the they keep the law but not mixed it with faih. This preacher is a cult He is a lawbreker. Not the SDA
Sabbath keepers of the Jews at that time "killed the LordJesus, and their own prophets..."(1Thessalonians
Christian dont "believe" its literally in the bible remember the sabbath to keep it holy
I will worship on first day! You can't stop me!
This debate was an absolute car crash. James White actually provided facts while Rawchaa provided scripture out of context.
The Bible NT never referred to the resurrection day as ‘the Lord’s day’. You want to make the book of Revelation look ambiguous as it does not mention the particular day but all prior to that in the Bible context it’s always been the 7th day. You must let Bible translate itself
Ignatius and the Magnasians are hardly scripture now is it?
lol this man has no idea. Ignatius 107 AD said that Christians were observing the Lord's day - sunday
The Greek word (hemera‘Day’) is NOT in the epistle.
Strand. Review and Herald Pub Acc Washington 1982 p 348-349
In 1642 the great British scholar, Bishop James Ussher, published a Latin edition of what are now accepted as the genuine epistles of Ignatius. In the passage we have “living according to the Lord’s ___ in which also or life sprang up.” Supply the ellipsis with “life,” and the clause reads, “living according to the Lord’s life, in which also our life sprang up.”
As a matter of fact, this latter wording is precisely what is found in the original Greek from which the Latin was translated. 1961. pp 44-45.

Everyday is the Lords day in Christ
The Ten Commandments were written on stone to symbolize they are permanent, not to be confused with the laws of Moses. They were there before earths history and will continue after earths history. It is what we will be judged by or else there would be no judgement. If you wanna break the 4th I’m sure you’re willing to break the others, I’ll stick to keeping the easy to follow 10 commandments of God!
Why before Earths history? Do you need laws when there is no creation?
"easy to follow 10 commandments of God!" So you never lie, lust or hate.,
Sounds like you don't need Jesus.
"The Ten Commandments were written on stone to symbolize they are permanent," Where does the Bible say that?
The old law ended with CHRIST'S death and resurrection. We have anew covenant purchased by the blood of CHRIST and not the blood of animals.
I do not follow the Didache. I follow Jesus and the Bible. But the Lord's own day is the Seventh day Sabbath. Yes many attacked Sabbath keeper.
Correct not in the New. All the Jews kept the Sabbath. That did happen latter. Roman Catholic churches of a latter time So yes a lot.
Read this book .
So no proof from the Bible
Jesus loves you So do I . Let us follow the Bible and keep our eyes on Jesus.
All what you are saying is nonsense; the Lord’s Day is the Seventh Day of the week. The first day is not! the Lord’s Day neither is it Holy,God sanctified the Seventh day not the first.
I checked the verses that you have used and NO WHERE did i find that first day replaced the sabbath day. Its only your assumption.
It makes no sense to deduct from Revelations 1:10 to refer to acts 20:7
Indeed Paul gathered with others on the first day of the week in order to collect an charity for the jews and instruct the people.
Where is the "book of Revelations" to be found? Its not in the Bible. The book of Revelation is in the Bible.
@@rebelliousbynature99 you really going to waste time addressing me because I pluralized Revelation?
It is a title that is descriptive not prescriptive, Johns vision led to multiple Revelations because many things that were not known were made manifest and clarified not just one mystery but many mysteries, thus many Revelations. In John's vision many mysteries were revealed.
But also are you a Christian? I ask because of your account name.
@@josephkuzara2609 It wasn't a waste of time for two reasons: 1) You responded. 2) You responded.
The Apocalypse of John led to one revelation. Or more accurately, it was a singular disclosure of truth concerning divine things. Hence John's use of the Greek apokalupsis.
As to whether I am a Christian, that depends on who's asking. A 7th day Adventist, mormon, or Jehovah's witness would say I am not a Christian. Those who make false prophecies (or follow false prophets), plagiarize other people's writings, alter scripture, have flawed hermeneutic methodologies, or simply fail to properly exegite passage would say I am not a Christian. Everyone else, all the real and true christians, they would agree that I am a Christian. But personally, I prefer to say disciple of Christ and not Christian. Jesus Christ, who died and rose again on the 3rd day, who resurrected on the 1st day of the week, who resurrected on the Lord's day, He is my Lord and Saviour.
What of you? Are you a Christian?
@@rebelliousbynature99 l see why you are addressing me: grammatically that apokalypsis is a noun femenine singular form as Revelation of Christ in Revelation 1:1.
Forgive me of my error toward you in rendering the multiple mysteries in the book of Revelation as being revealed in the plural sense.
In reflection of my reasoning, i guess sense there were multiple mysteries through the years giving to the old covenant prophets now made manifest and clarified in the letters of John the Apostle. I have understood it as multiple revelations by definition: revealing a mystery. I in error rendered multiple mysteries as being revealed in plurality with the letters of John.
Even though I now know I should have paid attention that Christ gave a singular revelation involving these multiple mysteries.
This is my mistake and I will keep in mind that Jesus in vision by the Spirit gave a singular revelation involving the multiple mysteries from now on.
And sorry for stating that you wasted your time addressing me. Without God's intervention I would not have reflected upon the impact of what I was saying in comparison to what revelation 1:1 revealed nor studied the matter further to see my error of understanding. To this I thank God of utmost that He used you to enlighten me of this.

To this we can speak in private, please email me your foundation of the elementary teachings of the faith to start: Hebrews 6:1-3
Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and everlasting judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so.
But also involving the Gospel, the means and way Jesus died for our sins and whom He died for and atoned.

Isa. 58:13 the LORD says the Sabbath is “My Holy Day”. Jesus said He is Lord of the Sabbath Day. James White began by saying “traditionally-speaking”. Not scripturally-speaking. Jesus never commanded SUNday worship.
Jesus also never commanded christians to keep the sabbath.
Do you realise that sabbath keeping wasnt done by christians until the 19th century when ellen white came up with that idea?

A good question ask James would be on what day Christians rested in the early church and if there was any particular day that they did observe as the day of rest.
If he's honest you'll see the cookies start to crumble.
The answer would be from our Lord "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working." That does not mean they did not rest on the sabbath. There is no argument on which day is the sabbath. You must separate the moral law from the ceremonial tradition. This is clear. Otherwise it becomes legalism and this it what Jesus made clear with the Pharisees. The early church worshiped (ceremonial) on the first day (The Lords Day) because that is when he rose from the dead. Do you not see the relevance here?
Wow! Thank you!
God commanded all mankind to remember the Sabbath and to keep it holy (Exodus 20). Not keeping the Sabbath is disobedience to God. It's a sin. Man had no right to try to change God's divine day of worship.
Read Deut 5, that command was given to Israel.
@@tonymuse That's true. The commandments were first givin to the Hebrews. However the ten commandments apply to all mankind. Without law defining sin, there can be no sin.

Hey mr. You cant deny the fact about the creation.
Gen. 2:2-3 and on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventhday from all his work which he had made.
3: and God blessed the seventhday and sanctified it; because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
No one ever escaped the sabbath because it is already in nature.
Now Explain this first before you jump off to the last part of the bible.
Ok, lets start from the first part, and please dont jump to another part without explaining this:
Genesis 1:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Genesis 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
God days are different than our days, God started creating on day 1 but on day 4 he created our days. That means that Gods seventh day is diferent than ours.
Again explain this before jumping to another verse.

The sabbath of the Lord thy God....saturday is sabbath its the Lords day .changed by constinetine 321 or else grow up people.
SDAs claim that the Roman Catholic church after Constantine in 320 AD changed the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday.
White:
"The holy Sabbath looked glorious- a halo of glory was all around it. White says, "The pope has changed the day of rest from the seventy to the first day."
Ellen G. White was a false prophet: Colossians 2:18 "Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by... taking his (her) stand on visions he (she) has seen, inflated without cause by his (Ellen White's) fleshly mind" (NASB)
We can PROVE that Ellen White was a false prophet by proving that the Pope (Catholic church) DID NOT change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday! You be the judge!
Answer:
A. The first Pope did not exist until 606 AD! (over 500 years too late) This is far too late because Christians were meeting on Sundays from the earliest record of history. So Ellen G. White is a false prophet!
B. But Adventist's have modified White's argument (corrected the inspired prophet) Listen to what Seventh-day Adventists now teach in their public "Revelation Seminars":
"Sundaykeeping was introduced into the Christian Church rather innocently, and its first advocates never dreamed that it would take the place of the seventh-day Sabbath of God. Sundaykeeping had its origin in Rome during the reign of the Emperor Hadrian in the second century. Hadrian persecuted the Jews in Rome incessantly. In an attempt to separate themselves from the Jews and avoid being persecuted with them, these early Roman Christians began keeping Sunday in addition to the Sabbath." "Now That's Clear, Schreven, p97, 1994)
Hadrian was Emperor of Rome (117-138 A.D.) THIS IS LONG BEFORE the first Pope.
Seventh-day Adventists in the 1990's are refuting what their founding "prophet" Ellen G. White was "told by God in a vision"
Seventh-day Adventists claim that "Christians in Rome", changed the Sabbath, not the Pope.
Seventh-day Adventists OFFER ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF that Christians in the church in Rome changed the Sabbath!
Samuele Bacchiocchi, the Seventh-day Adventist's top scholar wrote in an E-mail message to the "Free Catholic Mailing List" on 8 Feb 1997 and said:
I differ from Ellen White, for example, on the origin of Sunday.
