So since I've had a few people tell me they cannot hear what Prince and Mayte are saying in parts of the video. I've decided to post it here in the description. 😊

I don't care what anybody says. He LOVED this woman. It was written all over his face. You never seen him like that with any other woman. I honestly think his pride got in the way of even a friendship after they split. Pride is a bitch for real. Trust me. I wish if anything they could have been friends. You just don't find a connection like that everyday. That's a once in a lifetime thing.

I still love watching this video and each time can't help but cry. Each time you watch them look at each other, you see the love in their eyes. The loss of their baby was such a tragedy for both of them. Mayte was in so much emotional pain and Prince dealt with his pain in the only way he knew how, through his music. I wish that they could have found their way back to each other again. RIP, Prince.

This is a good video that fans of Prince and Mayte can appreciate. Marrriage isn't easy and losing children can be devastating. I was really pulling for those two and hoped they could make it work. Prince is gone so it's too late to hope for a reconciliation but she and Prince's fans will always have the good memories to hold onto!

Yes, Prince had a lot of loves in his life. Mayte was a very special time in his life, but he had that marriage annulled as if it never existed and apparently never talked to her again. You don't do that to your "soulmate", period!! Many couples sadly lose children, but are strong enough to get through it because they are truly in love. They just weren't meant to be. I find it odd that the two women he did marry he no longer spoke to the rest of his life, but some of his other exes he still talked to over the years at some point. Hmmmm. If he really wanted any of these women back, he would've gotten back with them, period. The love of his life, I believe, was his music because that always was his solace and where he was the happiest, IMO.
Rose4, we all have heard many different versions of their story. Some say it was annulled others say it was a divorce. Mayte herself said they no longer speak and I heard her say that on the reality show she was on "Hollywood Exes". I also found out she may have attended those shows, but he made her pay to get in. I don't know where you are hearing your info, but let's just agree to disagree about what really went on between them. When you think about it, it no longer matters because he is no longer here. Prince just never looked back on any of his relationships and that seems to be the truth because he had so many women. but yes, many of his songs was around whatever personal relationship he was in at the time. Music was certainly his saving grace and I am beyond thankful he shared that gift with us.
I wish they could have stayed together. They were a beautiful couple. The eyes show your soul and in there eyes was so much love. Such a sad love story.

She is so beautiful the heartbreak of loosing your babies is so hard I had 4 miscarriages,my heart breaks for anyone that experience a loss like that and prince really loved her. I hate that they didn't work out,and may prince rest in heaven with their baby.

If they had so much love for each other and a kid, they should have adopted one together. She most likely would have had a normal pregnancy, delivery and child after cuz that's exactly what happened to me. My mother miscarried several times, adopted me and then she carried to full term n I had a normal healthy sister a year n 3 mos younger than me.

I wanted to comfort her. So alone, when they should have been together. I'm glad she found/brought happiness to another adopting a daughter. 💕

Truly a beautiful love. Beautiful to see and feel. I believe we can love many people, if we will allow ourselves to. I also believe there's one special love that each of us is ordained to have and enjoy in an existence. With it -- bliss. Without it -- happiness is possible, but not bliss. It felt like they were blissful (not to say they didn't have issues) until the death of their two children. Something like that makes you rock solid together or becomes a barrier that's hard to get through. It was wonderful seeing and feeling them together.

It was beautiful!! Prince was in love, but you'll didn't see the big picture his heart was broken, Vanity was the one his heart belong to!!! He tried so hard to cover his pain, it's so sad the way his life went. He never got the Baby he always wanted,he look like he was happy but he was a sad man !!! Some of his songs you can almost feel his pain, the song the ONE, that song was written for the young lady's sister Lisa, that played beside him with the guitar!!!! That was told from one of the guy's in his band. Yes mayte loved Prince she was young he control her life, when they split up. She was in love with Tommy Lee,she went on ,and Prince did to. It's was a beautiful relationship and also it ended messy,she got peddy, stealing his belongings, he bared her from his property. When he said it's over he ment it.. so let's start seeing his life with manwala, its 20 years later for Prince and mayte!!! Oh!! noone is a haters or jealous. It's just getting boring..
She really looks like a femme version of Prince. I had a miscarriage at 5 months and it literally broke me in pieces, I was 16. I can see how tragically this could break two people apart. I wish Mayte the best in the aftermath of Prince death.

never was really into Prince....... though I totally always respected him as an artist. For whatever reason, he seemed to always push ppl away. I don't think it was because he thought he was better than everyone else, but he worked hard to give that impression. There was something much deeper he was trying to hide, like something that had scarred his soul. But with Mayte, he was vulnerable and by the way they looked into each other's eyes you could see they were deeply in love. To say you love someone is one thing, but to be in love is something much deeper, much more real. It's very sad about the loss of their baby boy and then the miscarriage. I don't know how anyone can move past that pain. I only wish that they'd found a way together. Prince seemed grounded and truly happy with Mayte and her love and admiration for him was so obvious. She loved him for the person he was, not the image. Together they were magic!

mild Dew thank you kindly....... strangely I was thinking about Prince, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and how now they're joined by George Michael; it brings me to tears. Each of these individuals were very gifted, and they shared their hearts, souls and musical talents with us. Each on their own level of genius, each living their life in the public eye so that we could share a part of them. I've spent a tremendous amount of time researching the events of Michael's death because it affected millions upon millions worldwide. Even Prince seemed deeply touched by Michael's death. But then Prince passed just as mysteriously and suddenly. I never bought into any of the conspiracy theories until too many inconsistencies and unanswered questions still remain in MJ's death, then Prince's mystic and unanswered questions only intrigued me more. Then low and behold George Michael passes sometime Christmas Eve night .......one common facture seems apparent; Sony. Couple that with the sudden unexpectedness and the plethora of unanswered questions and one must simply find if there is indeed something sinister happening. I think perhaps George Michael may have just worn out, but the thought that he died alone is in itself extremely saddening. We've definitely lost some of the greatest entertainers the music industry has ever known. But what's got me sad at the moment, all 4 of these ppl were sad, lonely and amazing people.

Prince destroyed the marriage by cheating on her. He was not faithful during the marriage. If you know puerto rican women they don't go for that shit. when Mayte was sick he wouldn't go with her to the hospital. He just hid in the studio. When she moved out Prince burned all of her stuff including her son's ashes. what kind of a man would destroy his dead son's ashes?

Prince is your typical famous egomaniac. He finds a young beautiful girl he can groom to be exactly what he wants. I.e Elvis/Priscilla. When Mayte gives birth to an imperfect baby and subsequent miscarriage, Prince sees her as damaged goods and punches out. So sad for Mayte.

I think Prince loved Mayte more than any other woman! She was raised with her parents separating and getting back together She thought that they would get back together! If she had never went to Spain and wrote that letter to him I think they would have stayed together She was in so much pain from losing the children and so was he however, men do not carry the babies so it is more painful for the Mother to give the babies up. I know because I lost two babies and finally had our son. I still had faith that God would help me have a son and he did I just wished she had focused on that. It hurts to think about there love story They were great together
I'm reading her book right now...I also skipped to the end a bit because I was wondering about the split ..and she puts excerpts into the book of the letter. Really sad...she was trying to sound mature and say she was coming to terms with the split when she wasn't at all.

Manuela everyone says is so kind and spiritual and that's good but she was trying her best to split up a married for ten years together for thirteen year couple that were reeling from the lose of their baby..

I wish that Prince had of stayed with Mayte. She was the only one that he ever said was his soulmate. Tragedy should have pulled them closer not apart & if Larry Graham & Manuela hadn't been there in the way maybe Mayte would have still been with Prince. Prince loved Mayte I believe to his end when he invited her to his concert & then went out in the audience & got her out of her seat & hugged her. He loved her but he didn't want to admit he did her wrong & find his way back to her. One day they will all be reunited together in heaven.

It just turned 2018 and it does not feel like Prince is gone ... I listen to him talk or sing and it feels like yesterday he was with us! He was a fabulous creative artist and Mayte and Prince made the perfect couple and appeared so in love -- it showed openly in their eyes and reactions to one another. They were both beautiful outside and in! I never saw this with his second wife ... maybe it was there but I did not see it. I think Mayte had his soul and still does. She was so upset when she heard of his passing. She is kind, sweet, and special and he knew it. We were lucky enough to have him in our world and still can with every beat of his music and talent. Time stands still with a person like Prince ... he is still with us! Get Mayte book -- it's very good and sweetly revealing!

Never really seemed as happy again. You can see it on his face. He never treated his 2nd wife like Mayte. from everything I've read he wanted children and that's what it was looking for with her. He basically ignored her, so she finally gave up and left. You barely knew he remarried! Big difference from his first marriage. They rarely ever traveled together & he took Mayte everywhere. Sad.

Karen C - W That was because Mayte was in the NPG band and she was a dancer for him. Of course they both traveled a lot. Also, Prince spoiled the hell out of Manuela and they also traveled a bit. So.. people knew he was remarried but didn't really care as much because it wasn't as big as his previous marriage to Mayte. He wanted children period and he chose Mayte because he thought she was the perfect woman to have his kids. It sadly didn't work out.

I think their baby dying was something he wanted to suppress, but seeing her was a constant reminder their baby did die.
i know losing amir and the other baby was devastating and very very hard on both mayte and prince, everyone thinks thats why they split well im sure it had to do with it and it did take a huge toll on their marriage but before they were married mayte cheated on him and then again while she was in spain and him in minnesotto there again he gave her a chance and she went to tommy married him after prince and her marriage was over she trapped him when they got married she got pregnant on purpose and thought she was going to have him and his money all to herself she keeps saying i should have gotten some of the purple rain moneybut she wasnt around during purple rain so why would she even think that she messed up Prince and Nona Gay relationship up they broke off their engagment because prince wanted to do the right thing and marry mayte because he knew it was the right thing to do he isnt here to protect himself from the most beautiful book but he didnt want her to release it while he was alive so why did she do it afterwards to trash him or what?

Hi Nina Knox actually they did. About five years ago there was even a phone call between the two of them wishing the other well in life. they still loved each other but we all know sometimes you can't be with the one you love for reasons we'll never understand.

According to someone that was in a club with Mayte, when Prince came in, it went here because he knew Mayte was there. Mayte would have nothing to with this and didn't want him there, so he was asked to leave and he did...he tried but he didn't try all that hard

It is harder sometimes for a man to get past losing 2 babies and looking at a hurting wife also. Prince was wild music playing and into himself and what he wanted. We don't know the whole side to the story of what happened. We as people have all made mistakes in our lives & done things that we wished we could change. What get's me is when people die all these other people want to make money off of dead people with memoir books or writing a song. All of them want there 5 minutes of fame off of a dead person. Unless you we're there and witnessed what Prince did let it go it doesn't matter. A beautiful talented Genius has lost his life & it could have been prevented. I loved Prince with all my heart and it doesn't matter to me.
If Manuela had never came along...I'm sorry but I think it would've been someone else ..cuz PRINCE was the one going on the chatrooms/ talking to Manuela and most likely other women. as well. It would've been nice if he couldve just stayed with ONE woman.
