If you read mayte's book the time line is as follows, prince and mayte were still married when prince hired Manuela to do some charity work for his love 4 one another charity, mayte was introduced to Manuela by a stage hand and prince came around the corner and shook her hand at that time mayte know he already knew her and was smitten by her,,,they were intimate some time later while he was still married to mayte, once mayte filed for divorce, he was free and married manuela and year and an half later .......
Mayte also said she, herself was the head of that charity and she knew nothing about manuela being hired to help...I believe Mayte loved and still loves Prince...as much as we can know anyway... I also believe Prince used women, however, since Mayte was the 1st girl he wed and had 2 kids with, one lost, the other as you know had Pfeiffer's Syndrome, I do think he loved her...I think Mauela was a fling and he justified that fling by marrying her, she also joined that occult, which Mayte would never do, as a catholic...We all probably will never know.

When P was referring to the one that got away it wasn't Vanity it was Kim Upshur(the waitress in Purple Rain)...when Vanity passed P was already terribly heartbroken because Kim had passed away on Nov 15, 2015 of a brain aneurysm rupture...he cried and cried because he was heartbroken when she passed...they had always remained friends so he paid all her final expenses...Kim was his first true love, his high school sweetheart, the first woman he lived with, grew up with and was engaged to when he started his career...When P cheated on Kim she broke up with him but she stuck around the harem for years and they had an on again off again thing until she finally left in 1985 but she was the one he was referring to when he said the love of his life and the one that got away but people always assume it was Vanity

Hey Fiona ..I read more up on Manuela ..It stated she met me Eric Benet in 2007 while she was going thru a divorce from Prince .Eric said he didn't even know the man she was divorcing was Prince until later .Eric was shocked he thought because her last name was Testolini her soon to be ex husband was Italian . Just thought I'd give u some info .

I understand that due to state taxes and squatters law that it is cheaper in landtaxes to knock down unused or unwanted properties.

I don’t know if some of this is true but that purple and blk house was prince house before he moved into paisley park and he sold that before it was torn down. The new owners were the ones that tore it down not Prince 🙄
The Purple and Black was where P had his father living and when he passed away he tore it down and never rebuilt anything there...P moved into PP and had the Galpin Blvd house torn down when he split with Manuela

It's not like he wasn't making millions of dollars supporting her. Almost similar to the storyline in purple rain. And all he really wanted was Denise anyways. He was dating Carmen and Nona and who knows what other chicks before he married mayte. Both Nona & Vanity were drug addicts, so that wasn't going to work, especially with his Jehovah Witness background. Manuela seemed grounded and a very good match for a Gemini, but Virgos need stability & Prince was anything but. Eric seems genuinely in love with her and to date, has not cheated on her that we know of. Hope Prince enjoyed his 5 years married to her. He seemed happy & stabile acting during that period.

Read her book again. In her book Mayte wrote that there was no annulment to end things. The annulment was because of his new religious beliefs and he wanted to renew their marriage by doing things right with God and that she was the one who asked for the divorce because she wrote him a letter telling him that she’s done and wants a divorce. She also wrote about that she didn’t want spousal support because she wanted to be done and over with it all. So in todays world it’s like she basically texted him that she wants a divorce. Sorry but that’s in her book about her asking him for the divorce. Also in her book Mayte wrote that prince wanted to renew their marriage by getting baptized together cuz he wanted to make things right. She also wrote about how angry she was at him because he said that Amir died due to the sins of the father aka the sins of prince like king David. Mayte grew angry at him for saying that because she doesn’t believe that God would do something like that cuz her God is not an evil cruel God.
