mo98003 Thank You for confirming that. I got bashed on another website for saying that. I don’t think she bashed him. And I do believe she loved him. And she never used him because if she had, then she wouldn’t have left with no money. She didn’t ask for a cent. And it saddens me that so many people bash her. It’s just horrible.
We MUST REMEMBER that Prince had banned Mayte from PP. They did NOT end up on a good relationship at all. Now she's trying to pretend that they were ALL GOOD. Nope, not all all. I heard she even tried to get Tyka to let us sell her book at PP. Tyka knows that would not be Prince's wish. Its still out there on the internet where Mayte was giggling with her friends and holding up Prince's tiny underwear. Go away Mayte. I only met dear Prince once in my lifetime accidentally on my way to my B&B store. He was kind to me (an old lady). I love and miss dear Prince.

Mayte's memoir was beautifully written. She shares her life with Prince in a honest,forthright manner. I highly recommend it.
Sonia Rodiruez If you had seen her on the ex-wives reality show slagging Prince off you would wonder about it all being such a grand love story. Even on FB she has said there is so much more she could say that would shock people. I guess she is holding back until she her money runs out.

@@skygazer6898 I saw just about every episode that aired & as gorgeous & as talented as Mayte is, she was a broken shell of a woman who's self-esteem was on the floor & it was more than obvious that she was still very heartbroken & deeply obsessed with him for however many seasons the show aired. She didn't seem to have any real happiness or confidence until she was finally able to adopt her little girl without the perks of having a husband to share her new found love with. Her mother made it abundantly clear that if she was ever able to have her way and/or a private moment alone with Prince; without her having to risk her very own freedom by not having to serve any actual prison time, she would have loved to have been able to personally be the one to put him in the ground herself for all of the grief, heartache, misery, & pain that he allegedly had caused her daughter both during and after their marriage.

Don’t get why people are so quick to attack Mayte for writing a book about a portion of HER life she experienced with Prince! The way he treated Mayte towards the end is what Prince did to a lot of people including his past band mates. Prince disposed and discarded people once he was done with them and then held an NDA over there heads, that’s no secret. Mayte couldn’t speak out when he was alive out of fear of lawsuit by Prince. Many things can be true at one time about a person. People are multi layered and Prince was not above that. He was a highly gifted musician. However, Prince had some ways about it him as we all do.
I love how people just know people's lives inside and out. Like they were around these people 24/7, 365.
Read some of Prince's books, he wanted nothing to do with her!!! She stole from him....

He annuled everything like she didn't exist. He banned her more than 10 years from his concerts , he hasn't spoke to her since she left Plaisley park.

Neita James I am not a complete Mayte fan although she has only been married once and that was to Prince. She and Tommy Lee were engaged but she wanted children he did not so they ended she said on good terms
She's not the love of his life Denise Matthews known as Vanity 6 was the love of his life so many songs were written about her to reach out to her calling her back she was one of the only women that was in a serious relationship and was engaged and left him that he still kept in touch with all the way up into her dad ironically he dies two months later Prince was not monogamous and Denise Matthews loved him and she was not willing to share the women that married him share him knowingly you don't share the man that you love they try to play like they didn't know heard rumors and then they put two and two together in the fact that he wanted the marriage annulled with Maite meant that it never happened but he wasn't able to so he got a divorce but for somebody to not even want it to be known about their marriage says a lot she wasn't even allowed to go to the property call the house he didn't want to ever see her again he left her in Spain he bought her home and left her I don't consider that the love of his life!

when you go through an experience like that, you are bonded to someone, no one can say anything about that or break it, its her story to tell, she was married to him 4 years. I cried reading the book, so sad but nothing is permanently sad, its a growing experience and she has a happier ending

He was also dating Carmen Electra, Nona Gaye and Troy Byer to name a few. He did hire Mayte to work for the New Power Generation after she graduated, her plan was to go to Cairo Egypt to pursue a bellydancing career.

Prince offered her a job with the NPG but seems he should have just left her to bellydance in Cairo to live happily ever after. Now that Prince is dead she peddles tragedy for profit. Prince never used his son's death to make money, and was charitable in secret.
Shame she didn't and still isn't showing Prince the same respect back.
He gave her everything and she hurt him so bad.
She loved Prince because of what he could give her and she is still that way now by everything she is doing.
She is still using Prince to get what she wants and to live the life style that she wants by selling his stuff at auction time and time and time again,using him to make money so she can go on living that lifestyle.
She is a self centered,selfish,disrespectful gold digger who doesn't really care about Prince and she is lying when she says she does because if she did she wouldn't treat him the way that she is.

Her book was lovely but why he hid their tragedy & wouldnt allow her to see other doctors was very controlling. He seemed like he was a perfectionist and when the situation didn't turn out to be perfect he threw it away!

After the death of his first child, she did get preg again - and lost that one - the reason for not going to other doctors? He had become a Jehovah's witness after the first child died, so it was against his religion. Very sad....
Michelle Danielle’s he was a witness but that’s not why they broke up, she had to have a D &C , which is somewhat like an abortion and they couldn’t agree on it so that’s why they broke up

I think people forget that celebrities are people who are not perfect and have faults and imperfections just like the rest of us. And yes Michael Jackson too. Because we hold them in such a high standard. We sometimes are shocked when their faults are revealed.

I remember they came though EMP up in Seattle for a quick tour when I was working there. I also remember them affectionately holding hands. You could tell he was in love with her.

Prince and Mayte were soulmates. They truly love each other. I loved the beautiful song that Prince wrote for Mayte when they got married. Friend, Sister, Mother, Wife. Such a beautiful loving song from Prince. It is just so sad through tragedy of losing their son and miscarriage that faith and love was not strong enough to keep them together. This does not balance out with what Mayte ended up doing to demean the memory of her marriage on Hollywood Exes Reality Show....embarrassing Prince and herself; then after his death....she was attempting to pawn his belongings that were still in her possession. She called her wedding dress " tacky "...… check out the YT video showing these actions. Where is the love in those actions ?? Even though she was a woman scorned, there's no dignity in smashing to death precious memories. Prince composed a special song in secret for his wedding reception...FRIEND, LOVER, SISTER, MOTHER, WIFE....at this time she meant ALL of these things to him. Check the lyrics of this song. He honored her then.....regardless to what ended up happening between them later..... .those memories are precious ones. So far as the world knows...her only child bearing and pregnancies were with Prince. She adopted since then. A very unbalanced display of affections. Just saying !!

I read Prince had the marriage annulled ( Which means it never existed! He moved her out of Paisley to another state far far away, Possible restraining order was filed by Prince against her and, he said he didn't speak to her for over 10 years after they broke up. Mayte is obsessed with him and needs to move on!

Prince gave up on her because everytime he looked at her he seen her and probably thought my children passed away because of you. He was hurt. The love was still there but he just couldn't get over the fact that his children died. 😩😭🙏
This is BS. You do realize he got married after her, right?! And for nearly 20 years after the divorce he NEVER tried to get back with her.
And with a molar pregnancy, the mother releases an empty egg, there is no fetus, no baby, it's an empty placenta that can become a tumor, but these are not viable pregnancies and as for gender, they almost always produce XX DNA data because it contains the mother's DNA. So, she didn't lose a little girl. She had a non-viable growth that could have been detrimental to her reproductive system.

A very sad story about their child. That bonded them in a way we can't understand unless you've been through it. Pfeiffer syndrome look it up. It's sad. In 2001, Prince married Manuela Testolini in a private ceremony. They separated in 2005 and divorced in May 2006.

Her book was a great read. It was her life, too. Amazing life indeed. Heartache and all it has all the aspects of a love story, even the ending. She respected Prince’s wish for privacy while he was here. I think a lot of people confuse the 2 wives and accuse Mayte of the things that actually happened with the 2nd wife. Who was the real goldigger.
These two loved each other like every little choice they made together was sacred and when they didn’t agree on their religion, that’s when things really fell apart to the point of being irreconcilable. She didn’t connect with the Jehovah’s Witness path - not the worst thing in the world but his faith was super engaged and he could not accept that she wasn’t willing to go along with something she didn’t connect with. People can’t really negotiate their true beliefs. That’s just how I see it.
I hope she sells those books.

I think it's unfair to see her as an opportunist. She's correcting the record, debunking myths, and answering many questions that fans have had over the years. Even if she's done some questionable things in the past, her bitterness is likely from Prince leaving her for another woman. And, to those saying Prince wouldn't have approved of her book, as Van Jones said, "if Prince wanted me to keep this a secret, then he should've stayed here."

She told all of her IG friends and fans to go to Jill Jones Facebook account and watch a interview but she has posted. When Mayte was 16 she was in high school in Germany, her parents pursued him while he was touring Europe to get him Mayte's dance tape. They kept in touch, but were not dating; he was dating Carmen Electra, Nona Gaye and Troy Byer, making albums, running his band and touring. After Mayte graduated, she told Prince she was going to Cairo Egypt to pursue her bellydancing career, so Prince offered her a job as a back up dancer with the New Power Generation.
I think Prince gave up on Mayte because he figured that a woman who can’t successfully carry his children, isn’t the one for him. Not to mention, Prince never stuck around with anyone for long so it isn’t shocking that he ditched her too.

Mal, she bashed him in a very coy and silent way. She ended up auctioning those things she had of marriage and of his on that show and more recently. As far as her mother I think Prince figured her out, to me she pimped out Mayte to him, She say fame and money and she knew Prince would love Mayte because she was young, innoncent and beautiful, he would be smitten with her and he was...Mayte and her mom were opportunists.
I watched every episode she was on amd she did not bash him! EVEN the other women were telling her she needs to move on with her life because she had all his things around & still loved him..she even kept some of his clothing! I heard something completely different about their so called relationship. I heard that she wasn't sixteen when they met, but in her early twenties. Also I heard that Prince never hired her to be his dancer, but Warner Brothers hired her. Prince was married around the same time Michael Jackson got married. Both marriages were arranged. Prince was in love and going to marry Nona Gaye. I guess Warner Brothers liked Mayte's image a lot better. Warner Brothers gave Mayte's mother a whole lot of money to give her daughter away to a complete stranger. Just in case Prince couldn't make her famous and rich, she had to go to plan B. Get Pregnant. I'm sad that the baby died, but God has a way of taking burdens off of people. If the baby had lived Mayte and her mother would have taken everything from Prince. She even says in her book that her father taught her how to manipulate people into getting what she wants.
