The lace on your shawl is absolutely exquisite! Liz is a very talented knitter. I wish I had more space to block my items more efficiently. I have to struggle on a spare room bed but I do my best 🤣

I love the idea of repurposing a jewellery case for notions. So fun! I use a tin that I got a brooch in years ago for my "on the go" notions and people are alsways asking about it because it's the perfect length to fit my tiny scissors.

I’ve seen these sewing boxes popping up and wanted one for my hand-quilting supplies. Yours came out to be so pretty and useful. I had a small jewelry box that had belonged to my husband’s grandmother and decided to use it. It’s leather on the outside with beautiful gold border designs around the top. The inside has green velvet that I decided to leave in for now but all of my supplies sit so beautifully inside.

You could paint the blue thread conditioner (?) case pink, ruff it up with a bit of sand paper (a fingernail file would work around small areas). I'd use craft glue. 💖🌞🌵😷

17:46 if you wanted to sew the decorative strip on you can. Use a curved sewing needle. Get a generous quantity as they break easily. (I think I was gripping them too hard with the needle nosed pliers. I also got the thinnest needles as I wanted them for sewing and not darning or leather work.) 💖🌞🌵😷
15:40 there's silicon finger protectors on the market now to protect you fingers from the hot iron and from hot melt glue. Just be sure they are silicone (safe to 500f?) and not some other plasticy material as they are probably not safe at high temps. To test... Place the silicone fingers between 2 pieces of paper. Apply your iron with a good press. If it doesn't melt, you are good to go! 💖🌞🌵😷

Thank you! I made it. It is the Agnes t shirt pattern from tilly and the buttons in some cotton jersey from fabrics galore. But I made it several years ago so I don’t think they have it anymore I am afraid x x
