raw talent... this was YES in its beginning !
YEScellent! 👏 👏 👏 👏
Chris Squire and that unique Rickenbacker tone. Pure magic!
HO WHOA! H-D dialing with precision. Oh so pinned by the old days. Does it freak you? "Silly human, silly human race..."
This never gets old…I still have a first release album of this…
I was still in high school when this came out, my mind was totally blown and it has been on a wonderful trip with YES all these years.
Squire playing with fingers is pretty cool.
Steve Howe playing the solo with his guitar at that weird angle. Chris Squire's theatrical right-hand movements. Wonderful stuff from a band still finding their stage craft.
The Yes Album is my favorite LP by Yes. Steve Howe was bursting with guitar ideas and stays true to his influences with melodic lead playing and great tones. Chris Squire wrote much of the album with Anderson, resulting in a collection of upbeat rocking composition that remain staples of their live shows. Squire was responsible for most of my favorite Yes songs, but he gave way to Anderson Howe on later albums.
One of my Top 5 Albums.
These clip is from the pilot music TV show 'Take One Plus One' made in 1971 by Colour Me Pop director Steve Turner. The one off production also featured Stephen Stills.
Very cool squire played here without a pick, bruford wearing glasses, and steve Howe played the guitar like t bone walker at first
AMAZING YES 🔥🎸🎶🎶🎶👏👏
Very timely given current events. Reminds me of an ancient Chinese proverb: "Let's skip the news, boy, I'll make some tea.
The Arabs and the Jews, boy, too much for me. They get me confused boy, puts me off to sleep...Knowledge is a deadly friend if no one sets the rules,
The fate of all mankind I see is in the hands of fools." --Yu Kleeky, 69 BC

@@_Kiwyy_ Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaalp!
@Yes Source Soooooo Many Thanks ! YES Forever.
Just to clarify, while both clips are from 1971, the video of this track associated with the Beat Club broadcast (officially released/available on YT) was performed entirely live in-studio, just as Yes would have played it in concert, without any miming of instrumentation or lip-synch-ing.
This fascinating new clip clearly uses the official Yes Album recording as its soundtrack.
By the way, I didn't even recognize Bruford here at first glance.
I guess this PROVES after all that he was ultimately just WAYYYYY TOO COOL for the likes of those not-quite-as-cool weirdos in Yes.
Hahah, yes I always thought that bruford was the handsome guy in a band of prog nerds, no offense intended of course, I am one as well! And thanks for the clarifications Nick!
They are playing Playback, Chris Squire is playing without pick!
Are you sure? The way they are performing in this seems like its for the purposes of a sync to the track. Steve Howe is extra energetic in a way I have never seen before, Chris Squire isn't even using a plectrum for the whole thing, haha he would never do that live. like another joke in the same way CS and TK swapped instruments in a different synced video song. There's already a beat club live version of this song.
@@OliverDayGuitar Sorry for the confusion. I meant that this clip is ALSO YIND, (also featured on the Beat Club clip) but as you describe, it's not performed live. The album version recording is the actual soundtrack for this miming job.
Is this a mono fold down or dedicated mono mix it sounds different than the album. Def sounds mono
Excellent, thanks for posting!
Good lord this is amazing.

This is so cool. I didn't know it existed. Thanks for sharing
0:55 - pretty interesting way to hold up guitar 😄
Never saw this rare performance, many thanks for uploading!)
Thanks❤
WoW!
❤ Chris ❤
Hope we see this in 4K at some point.
Chris played this song without a pic... who knew?
They're miming to the album version, that's why
That would be cool to watch this with better HD audio. I don't have time to sync it.
This is so cool, thanks for posting. Where did you find this? Did you assemble some or was it a total package.
