How to Build a Dormer in less than 5 minutes!

Recently completed in March 2016, this project wasn't quite as straight froward as it may look in the video. The construction of the dormer involved three steel beams having to be lifted in with the use of a mobile crane which was made even trickier by the tight space at street level and the property being mid terrace. Once all the beams were fixed into position however the project was fairly straightforward, the weather was kind to us (for the most part!) and the construction process ran smoothly.
The decision was made to apply an EPDM rubber roof covering to the flat roof of the dormer as it looks great, is easy and quick to install and has a 25yr guarantee plus with the dormer walls being tiled it helped blend the dormer into its surrounding environment.
The dormer almost doubled the internal space of the loft conversion and provided enough room for a double bed, bespoke storage and TV cabinet not to mention the new stairwell and plenty of "walking around space!"
A fantastic addition to the property and a very happy client - job done!
