- We had to swap the engine in the Sorceress at the track during day 4 of the Street Car Super Nationals. Next round the car went 5.91 at 258MPH!
Tomorrow is Q4 and Eliminations round 1 wish us luck!

A.K.A. Motor Mouse , ( I would love to have the "Moser S.B.C. Engine" I think that's the brand on the cover of Hot rod around 1971 with D.O.H.C.& 4 valves / cylinder)/ ANYWHO , The wicked engines in the tractor pulls ( Like Yours) needed more oil directed at the rockers , so they built a tube to do the job . I guess they were pleased with the results. I think it had something to do with the speed the the arms move with ratio when the power comes on so fast . Good Luck James T, Burke
#4... A head scratcher for sure. Behaves like possible valve float damage, but follows an engine swap? Makes no sense. I wonder if something is dimensionally [or metallurgically] soft with the heads, allowing odd movement that mimicks a lobe grind being a little too radical for the spring serving it? Lash caps popping off mid run does evil things. Well, all that and two bucks buys a cup of coffee - good luck, and looking forward to the next run.

Extra boost holding the exhaust valve shut ? Why is that? Boost on the inlet side would not hold the exhaust valve closed. By the time the exhaust is trying to open, combustion should be completed (almost),

I wonder what the redline is on this bullet? 9k? Valve spring pressure issue? Is it floating the valves? Have you consulted with the engine builder?
