It was an absolute Barrel Fest on Day 2 of this End of the Year Swell on December 28th, 2023. This morning at the La Jolla Reefs was certainly the main course of the swell. Conditions were near perfect with offshore winds most of the morning. Wave heights ranging from 8 to 12 foot faces and a really good tide for this reef break. A crew of professional surfers and local La Jolla barrel riders were scoring some epic waves. We previously put out a teaser video of this session. This is the full main video of the morning session.

Gotta start calling him "Mr. La Jolla" cause he is definitely one of the top barrel riders to come out of that area. It is truly incredible the barrels he makes. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Hope you subbed.

Yes, reefs are usually in California made of rock and stone and covered with eel grass, mussels, and sealife growing on it.. The entire square footage of a reefs technically is a very big large chunk of rock. In more tropical areas it is usually made from coral reefs which is much sharper. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Hope you subbed.

Glad you enjoyed. This was a special morning during that swell. Wave was really holding open on many of the sets. As opposed to the normal 1 out of 5 or 6 that are makeable. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. More videos to come from that swell.

Whole reason we film in 60 fps so we can slow certain sections down. Surf films would get pretty boring if you only used normal speed in every single film made. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Hope you subbed.

Most surf vids have slo mo. I'm over it. I can slow it down with the controls if I choose to.@@SLAWTVvideos
