Good video for the new players, the one thing I would add overall is play patiently, especially as solo. Take time to listen or check for other dinos as you enter a new area, sitting in a bush for a minute or two to make sure you are safe is better then dieing and loosing exp. Also if you get attacked and the dino is faster then you, you might as well try to fight. It'll give some good combat experience to learn from instead of just dieing for free.
I would like to add to the stay silent part, when you enter something into the in -game chat, your dino makes a sound like a grunt or a low growl and this can give away your position. To avoid this either lie down completely or hold an item in your mouth.

These tips helped me grow my Styracosaurus, and Eotriceratops (who I got from getting a lil' annoyed at rexes that kept killing an Amarga that I was trying to grow). Especially the resource map, that has helped me and friends I play with a ton. Funny thing with calls is that I only use them extensively as an adult Eotriceratops. As to make sure people know that I am there, so they know not to get close, allowing both of us to avoid eachother. Feel like it and adult rex are the only two that can get usually away with broadcasting their exact location.

I don’t really tend to look for friends I’ve spent WAY too long on beasts of Bermuda where it was impossible to solo play which is usually what I’m more suited for. So PoT gave me a much needed joy of enjoying solo play style.
They do not, however I believe on mobile you need to buy additional dinosaurs or dino bundles. Also there are some dinosaurs that are modded in that may not be available on mobile or console.

Like… how can you not know that you need to stay silent and hide from big dinosaurs, and stay away from where they all hang out? The right server is also a big thing too if anyone is looking for a decent one rune's chaotic pve server is pretty good but be warned any asshole players that join to kill for sport won't be tolerated

Does console and pc have different dinos than mobile?
They do not, however I believe on mobile you need to buy additional dinosaurs or dino bundles. Also there are some dinosaurs that are modded in that may not be available on mobile or console.

The game is literally designed in the questing system to promote coop as the objectively fastest way to grow. Go touch grass.
