- Another year, another OVMS MAX in the books. Tom and Ob wade through the considerable aftermath of another successful show.
BOILERPLA... ER, GENERAL INFO:
Tom, Deb, and Ob would like to thank everyone who have been kind enough to send in gifts. Seriously, you guys are just the best.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite.
FAQ & A:
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls RUclips "the U-TOOBZ".
Tom's personal email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have a amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?!
A: See "A" above.
Again, Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

Sadly a lot of fakes at the show, even more sad, that Tom bought some of them. At least you can use those horrible cigarette boxes for your cigars….😉 But that ridiculous clock with “Adolph” is straight for the bin.
Lion head on the pommel, boar head on the blade, IMHO.. A museum piece for sure.
That clock around (26 minutes) is absolute kitsch, in my opinion. At least Adolf was on time! 😅 The hand carved hunting dagger is amazing and cannot be compared. 😮
The Bob Burns cutter goes through like butter until, like the Pops, you soon need another!
Ну...Старый гном! Завидую всей душой! Такие вещи! Ух! Желаю здоровья и новых находок нам на поглядение..
As a German native speaker I was shocked that you really bought those fake cigarette cases with poor quality dedications and spelling mistakes, same goes for the clock with “Adolph”. Already well known Ukrainian fakes.😢
😯😕
great video full of great items. the daggers are over the top. the hunting dagger, the big HJ knife and the ss dagger at the end id have to keep as im sure you will. thanks for sharing great show finds.
It's spelt Deutsche KREUZ....not KREUTZ.
Unfortunately the box must be faked Tom.
Wow even our buddy Tom gets taken sometimes I guess :/
Yep, same for the clock which shows the name spelled “Adolph”…😢
Depends on grammar case: Das Deutsche Kreuz, dem Deutschen Kreuz, des Deutschen Kreuzes. :-))
Hello Team Wittmann! PLENTY of one-of-a-kind bits in this video especially the fantastic hunting cutlass. Excellent content!
Thank you so much my wife Elizabeth will be thrilled. It was great meeting you and Rob. Hope to see you at another show soon. Thank you.
Back again after a lay off whilst on your travels. Great to finally put a face to the voice of Arb. Not what I expected. I thought he would be so much bigger 😅. Anyway fantastic to have you both back. Great show. All the best from Phil Colley in the UK.
Welcome back Tom! We missed your show!
Oh oh.... purple table to match the nose color.....with blue shirt..... perfect match....!
Great to see the boys back in action 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
love that dagger with the panzer head
In my country miners still have dress uniforms and dress swords. Their motto roughly translates to Heil God.
What country?
In 18th , may be still 19th century, german miners had the , Bergbarte' ( Mountain axe) as ceremonial weapon.
Don’t make us wait so long for a new video I was going threw withdrawal without my weekly cellar update. Thank you for sharing and keep them coming.
What!!! No Max show walk thru?? Hopefully a video is coming soon??
I’d love the HJs or that Panzer Army dagger!Beautiful 🤙🏼
GTM (Get The Money) was one of my old sayings that TJ loved and we used for years. You brought back some old memories Tom. Sorry I couldn't make the show again, but love the videos.
Nice to see you all ❤
Collections always become available, especially now.
Glad to have you guys back! That Hitler clock was too Cool!!
Tom,
On the Army dagger you bought at the show; seems strange that the army would allow a skull like that on back of a dress-dagger. How do we know it was of the period and not done by a skilled artist afterwards?
That hunting cutlass is really out of this world. Can you imagine that,if it were possible, how much it would cost today to manufacture. Forget about it, that is a real piece of art done by a master craftsman.
Bird in dogs mouth complete with wings , feathers and long beak . Charging boar , complete with side tusks , the target for the blade decorates the pommel . Who in his right mind would attempt to stab , head on , a charging boar .
The german/austrian knifetype , Hirschfänger ' ( don' t know situation in german language part of Switzerland) seems to be last descendant of 15 th/16th century ,Langes Messer'. The Hirschfänger was used for final stab / Fangstoß of wounded game, or for stabbing Game during , Parforce Hunt', using only long knives, horses and dog Packs. Up to 1848 the Hirschfänger was only allowed to noblemen, Professional Hunters and.forrestry officials. Today classic Hirschfänger is no more used by german/austrian hunters. It became a ceremonial weapon, but elderly hunters see it still as a great honour, when they get a Hirschfänger as present/ Gift.
Show video? Love those too
Jeg ❤at se jer 2 ,s afsnit,,
Ønsker jer alle sammen alt godt må komme til jer i fremtiden 😊
Cheers boys !!
Great video as usual, is there any new Max show video coming up?
HEY! I'M #1! Of course, I've always thought of myself that way. 😄
"Guantanamera" is a Cuban patriotic song, which uses a poem by the Cuban poet José Martí for the lyrics. The official writing credits have been given to Joseíto Fernández, who first popularized the song on radio as early as 1929.
The song was made popular in the 1960s.
The Krefeld reference, may be for the German submarine base named Krefeld in Saaristomerre, Finland.
Guantanamera? Old bavarian folk song : Gwoant hama mehra ( A lot of us whined) :-))
Nice ! 😄
Seen all 92
Lots of super items.
🖤
I'm still missing the stuff from the last two DTC to appear on the website?!
I check it daily for updates... 🤷🏼♂️
The Fegelein box is a post-war fake...a bad one with a spelling error 😂
❤❤❤❤❤i think this Supersonic
Do you like that skull on the army dagger? Looks newly done to me
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
About the hunting knife.
I think looking at all other images on the hunting knife, i would rather think that the image of the "lion" looks more like a sheep or maybe a wolf?
It also fits the other animals we see on that knife.
A lion would be just not fitting with all other images on the knife

About the Adolf Hitler clock.
Could it be that this is a clock made by the Allies the U.S or the U.K?
Why i'm asking this, is due the fact that the name is written as "Adolph Hitler" and not "Adolf Hitler"
I have seen articles from the U.S and the U.K from WW2, where they almost always spell the first name as "Adolph" instead of "Adolf".
Also the caricature on the second hand was very unflattering with a long nose. Appeared to mock AH with his head spinning around like that. It could still be very valuable, though, because people collect that stuff, too.
Geez , good catch! Must be that 70s junk. Hope he only paid $25 for it
I would say it was made during WW2.@@that85guy96
It's El Salvador, not El Salvator. FYI.
The story goes that Hermann Fegelein abandoned his post as a soldier while hundreds of thousands were fighting in the Battle for Berlin.
They found him in a hotelroom in Berlin with an other female while being heavely intoxicated and disobeying the order to get dressed and go back to the FUhrer bunker.
As the militairy police found out he was not only at his post during the fight, he also had stuffed briefcases full of money and other valuebles and also clothing.
This indicated that Fegelein was ready to flee as a deserter.
This treason costed him his life.
Plus the fact that his boss, Himmler, was found out to be negotiating with the Allies.
Not keen on the ss car badge or case with Hitlers face in it ? I doubt whether they will be genuine
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Why not have video from show Tom ??
Hello again
🇺🇸
Please, who sents all this stuff. Are these bought from the channel, for collection. Or sent for repair and he just shows off, what came in for repair? I mean all the daggers, bayonets mainly.
These items are generally for sale, things they just bought or people sent in to sell
Is a plane bayonet market 1937 worth much ? It's a carel icorne.
Meh, low end 75$ high end 175$
Fegelein was with his lover not his wife. He was shot because he was supposed to be in the bunker.
Good items are disappearing and getting so expensive a lot of people aren't getting into the hobby.
Because most people don't wanna wait to have their rooms full of as daggers. Why not start with a heer dagger and some medals?
🇹🇷
Sorry you got popped Tom and Ob!! Someone pulled a fast one on you Tom. I know you love shiny things but not every cigarette case is period (or more importantly now, not period engraved) mis-spelling the Fühers name….!!??? No way during the period…….imo
