I think I can speak for everyone who watches your videos when I say thank you for taking the time to make the videos and put them on RUclips. I enjoy the history lesson.
Tom. Bravo👏👏👏👏another awesome video. I’ve been sick this past year. I’m trying to make it to your 100th episode 👍. One of the few things that brings a smile to my face anymore. Thanks for all your efforts
Thoughts and blessing to our watchers in England who are a bit under the weather, stay safe, thanks to the men from Down in the cellar as always, Cheers.
well this was a great show, great daggers and helmets. id like to hear more about the navy uboat dagger. nice chained ss upgrade. ive collected helmets for 50 years. the helmets with cones on top are french adrian helmets not italian, the small cone helmet is russian early one. the rest you got right. rob dont blame everything on the italians lol. great show, best ive seen in a while but i watch all front to back. thanks Larry
The 6 pointed star is what is called a "proof slug" showing it passed durability inspection. ALL British military swords have them after a certain date regardless of maker. I think Wilkinson may be the 1st to start using it though.
Greetings from Germany! I wish I were standing there with you once again, it was a great experience to spend the time with you guys (Hello John & Deb!). I hope we can do it again soon. Take good care of yourselves.
Great video as always Mr Wittman, thank you for your effort. In 1.31.22 I believe is Polish helmet so called Adrian of 1915. RP on the badge in front stands for Rzeczpospolita Polska. I keep on watching your films, but my Slav soul doesn't allow me to drink whiskey, so I try to keep you company with vodka and juice;-)
That KM-Dolch with Dönitz inscription is very, very suspect... In first WW he was commanding officer on an U-Boat (Ubootkommandant). in 3. Reich, in '35 or so he was commanding officer on light cruiser Emden. Afterwards he was orderd to build up an U-Boat force, which he became the commander of (Befehlshaber). Why sould anyone make a 3. Reich periode blade refering to him as a U-boat commanding officer (Kommandant)? The hilt and grip might be okay, but the blade on this one don't make any sense. Side fact, the memorial (in Laboe, near Kiel) shown on front of the blade is for all sea men who fell in War. The U-Boot memorial which you refer to is located in Möltenort (Heikendorf, also near Kiel)
@10:00 This is a 1850s "Royal Naval Midshipmen's Dirk" These were issued for use if a boarding action happened. You were expected to fight with this weapon in hand-to-hand combat. There are variants of this weapon. Some have curved blades, but I believe are still called the same thing. I've seen these for $150 - $250. The knot helps with value. Many of these do not have the knot. The curved version is a bit rarer, and I've seen those for $600+. There isn't a lot of value with these dirks because the demand is low.
You guys got me laughing on the helmet. Everyone you didn't know was Italian, then you finally pulled out an Italian helmet. The first Camo Adrian helmet and the identical non Italian helmet is either French or Belgian. The round disc is missing on the front of both helmets. The other Italian helmet looks to be an Early Russian helmet.
Hey OI'll come over and drink with you guys anytime. My local boozemart has 2 gallons of Jack Daniels on special right now, that could at least keep our glasses full whlle we're charging our glasses for toasting I guess..
I am interested in the 2nd Model Luft SMF, and the ground Rohm SA, do you have pricing for them? I don’t believe I saw them in the inventory on the website, information on these would be greatly appreciated
Just found your channel and im very impressed. Im just getting into collections on WW2 especially on the Germans side (had cooler stuff) quick question ❓ do you have anything for sale?
Didn't see you in church. Where were you? 🤔😁 Bob Burns Cutter has gone international! WOW! An inclinometer or clinometer is an instrument used for measuring angles of slope, elevation, or depression of an object with respect to gravity's direction.

Mr. whittman It was an honor to meet you in Wilmington. Thank you very much for your help !
❤❤❤ thank you Sir For your Video.... Gruß Felix From Düsseldorf Germany
The sword with the multicolored scabbard is a Burmese Dha, it may also be from Thailand or in the general area

I think the first helmet with the camo pattern on it is french or Belgian. Looks like a Adrian pattern helmet.
and yes Iam always having a drink and a smoke myself watching you vids
The last appears to be a WW! French Adrian helmet. Republic Francaise RF. With a flaming pot for Infantry.
“Ob this half is no better than the other half” -Mr whittman
“ I can’t believe it” -Ob

Fantastic once again glad the eye is better

that strange sword is a krabi krabong from burma/thialand,,,used two swords at once.
Manton British naval dirk is an old copy. They never were made with leather/snakeskin covered grips. They do have some age to them and can fool some 😮
Even the copies are collectible, if they are good quality.
@@MrTruckerf They are Indian copies of questionable quality. I know of no one that collects copies.
Glad your eye is better mate, how many competition entries have you had submitted so far Tom.
Looked like a great magazine so i subscribed at least.
I'll have to buy some books from B&D later too.
I am interested in the 2nd Model Luft SMF, and the ground Rohm SA, do you have pricing for them? I don’t believe I saw them in the inventory on the website, information on these would be greatly appreciated
