Si que interesante , alo bien que esas ferias son lo maximo , en costa rica somos poco los coleccionistas de militaria pero creo que estas feruas son un gran ejemplo para todos los coleccionistas
Thank you for your effort super video!
Certainly! It was a blast. Thanks for tuning in.
Wish we had a show like this back in the late 1960s when I started collecting. German fakes were easy to spot back then. My first purchase back then was a SS enlisted dagger by Robert Klass, price was $75.00. Sa daggers ran around $25.00. My father was a Sgt. in the US Army 160th Combat Engineer Battalion in the Eto. He was at D Day and the bulge. I still have a silver panzer badge & a Nskk stickpin that he gave me.
Wow, that’s amazing about your father. Also an SS dagger for $75 is amazing lol. Oh have times changed. I don’t think that type of value growth will happen again but maybe it will. Sadly that might be the end of this hobby if things get grossly more expensive than they are now. Maybe I’m the the sucker but I love owning these pieces of history.
Back then it was pre-computor so we had to rely on the shotgun news for items for sale. Also putting wanted ads in local newspapers worked pretty well. If it was from a vet, I always paid them a fair price.
Is that us knife in this video a kBar? , your SA daggers are brilliant g8 investment too.. Your so lucky I can't afford it, keep safe 🎉🎉🎉
Yes a kbar. You can get them in lesser condition perhaps but get them nonetheless. Then you work your way up.
I used to own that J. Bertsos USS. Young knife ! If you ever want to sell it i would like to buy it !
I was there it was a good show, but you have to watch out for reproductions at this show and they get better every year.
Enjoyed the video. I am fairly novice collecting militaria but much more advanced collecting firearms. Is something like the show of shows worth going to based on pricing or is it like gun shows where everything now seems to be jacked up to sell to people who don't know fair values?
There still needs to be a “buyer beware” mindset. There’s still reproductions and over priced items. SOS is just the largest militaria show in the world. So if your looking for the rarest of rare or items
At more of a “wholesale” price point it’s here at this show. You need to know what you’re looking at however.
