Very interesting and informative. I’m a recently diagnosed 61 year old woman, spine -2.5 hip -2.1 also have cardiovascular disease and scleroderma, positive for lupus. My doctor has put me on Alendronic acid tablets, once weekly. I have problems with the oesophagus so thinking of asking to go down the iv route. I have a healthy weight 130lb and a BMI of 21.2. I use the treadmill daily and have a vegetarian diet. Do you think Alendronic acid is right for me and would iv be a better option than the tablet.

Osteoporosis is a disease of low estrogen. Why is estrogen not prescribed?
i have high estrogen and osteo, i had it before i got breast cancer and now on anti estrogen meds.
